WiFi 6: The NETGEAR EAX15 Mesh Extender supports the latest generation WiFi 6 (802.11ax) standard. WiFi 6 delivers the fastest WiFi speed s with up to 4x greater network capacity than WiFi 5, allowing you to connect more devices to your WiFi network. WiFi is also backward compatible with previous WiFi generations (a/b/g/n/ac) and will work with all your existing internet-connected devices.

Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO): MU-MIMO capability allows you to simultaneously stream up to 4 devices at the same time - 2 devices on the 5GHz band and 2 devices on the 2.4GHz band. With MU-MIMO, your WiFi network can deliver faster throughput to every MU-MIMO connected device. That means faster downloads and smoother streaming for your devices.

Smart Connect: Smart Connect automatically selects the fastest WiFi band for your device. For Smart Connect to work, the 2.4GHz and both 5GHz bands must use the same WiFi network name (SSID) and network key (password). That means that when you connect to the router with WiFi, you see only one SSID that connects to both bands.

OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access): The EAX15 uses OFDMA to direct WiFi traffic much more efficiently, increasing network capacity even when multiple devices are connected to the network. Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) enables efficient data scheduling so that more transmissions can be sent at the same time, resulting in an impressive capacity increase in your network. This increased or available bandwidth allows you to add more devices to your network. The EAX15 supports uplink and downlink OFDMA to efficiently use air-time with better frequency reuse, reduced latency, and increased network efficiency. This is extremely useful for latency sensitive applications such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and Internet of things (IoT) sensors.

Security Options: The NETGEAR EAX15 extender offers WPS & Web Browser setup. Secure WiFi connections offer the highest level of WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security. You can also use WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect the extender to your WiFi router without typing your existing router's WiFi network name (SSID) or WiFi password.

AC Power & Mounting: The EAX15 features a built-in AC power plug, allowing the whole unit to plug and mount into a standard AC outlet.

Firmware Updates: The EAX15 comes pre-set to automatically check for new firmware at login. You can also manually check for and download firmware by launching a web browser from a computer or mobile device that's connected to the same network as the extender.
