Overview: The NETGEAR Nighthawk AX4 (RAX36S) Wi-Fi Router features simultaneous Dual-Band performance, delivering combined Wi-Fi speeds of up to 3 Gbps. It has a powerful 1.7 GHz quad-core processor that gives you a high-performance networking engine for faster connections. Incorporating the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology (802.11ax), the AX4 features proven high-performance while preventing lag spikes, drop outs, and high ping times for better VR gaming, 4K streaming, web-surfing, and more. The router can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall, and comes with an AC adapter and Ethernet cable.

1.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor: The NETGEAR Nighthawk AX4 utilizes a powerful 1.7 GHz quad-core processor to separate processes and prioritize high performance Wi-Fi connections for simultaneous multimedia streaming, online gaming, and audio/video chats.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6: Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 delivers up to 3 Gbps combined Wi-Fi speeds through two dedicated simultaneous Wi-Fi bands. Dual-band Wi-Fi, combined with the intelligence to segregate traffic based on Wi-Fi speed, provides the best performance for multiple Wi-Fi devices in your home. The AX4 features extended range of up to 2000 square feet. Both bands are backwards compatible with Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac).

Antennas: The AX4 features 3 built-in antennas that can be tilted and swiveled for the best Wi-Fi performance and coverage.

Dynamic Quality of Service (QoS): Dynamic QoS helps to improve the router's internet traffic management capabilities. QoS identifies your online activities by application and device, then utilizes bandwidth allocation and traffic prioritization techniques to automatically allocate more bandwidth to latency sensitive applications like online gaming and video streaming. This ensures that lower priority applications continue to work.

Beamforming+: Beamforming shapes a directional Wi-Fi signal aimed at a Wi-Fi client based on the client's location, as opposed to radiating the signal out in all directions. This improves Wi-Fi range and performance. Implicit Beamforming can be enabled or disabled in the advanced settings menu.

MU-MIMO: MU-MIMO (Multi-user-Multiple Input, Multiple Output) capability allows multiple devices to simultaneously stream at the same time on the 5 GHz band. With MU-MIMO, your Wi-Fi network can deliver faster throughput to every MU-MIMO connected device. That means faster downloads and smoother streaming for your devices.

Gigabit Ethernet Ports: Five Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports (1 WAN and 4 LAN) allow you to connect multiple wired devices. The WAN port is used to connect your internet modem, while the LAN ports are used to connect your local network devices.

Nighthawk Mobile App: The Nighthawk Mobile App (Apple iOS 14.0+, Android OS 6.0+) makes it easy and intuitive to setup and use the NETGEAR Nighthawk AX4 router. The Nighthawk app gives you access from anywhere, letting you monitor and control your home network. It offers convenience features such as Speed Test (to check your connection speeds at any time) and Traffic Meter (to keep track of your internet usage over time). Smart Parental Controls let you filter content and limit your children's time online. The Nighthawk app uses NETGEAR Armor security to protect your devices from online threats. The app lists each device connected to your network on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and gives you the ability to pause or resume each one individually. You can even set up a secure and separate Wi-Fi network for guests, if desired.
