Orbi WiFi 7 Add-On Satellite: The Orbi RBE970 Quad-Band WiFi 7 Add-On Satellite lets you easily add 3,300 sq. ft. of powerful WiFi coverage to your Orbi 970 series WiFi 7 Mesh system (sold separately). The Orbi WiFi 7 satellite creates a dedicated WiFi connection with the convenience of a single WiFi name for your whole home or office.

2.2GHz Quad-Core Processor: A powerful quad-core 2.2 GHz processor delivers ultra-high performance, connectivity, and speed; while a 4 GB flash memory and 2 GB RAM offers vastly improved throughput.

WiFi 7 (802.11be) with 6 GHz Band: The Orbi Mesh System supports the latest WiFi 7 (802.11be) standard, offering a 6 GHz WiFi band to deliver true Gigabit speeds of up to 11.53 Gbps. The WiFi 7 standard sends and receives multiple streams of data simultaneously, providing faster speeds while allowing the Orbi Mesh System to easily handle all the traffic in the busiest smart homes using heavy-bandwidth devices.

Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO):  Using Multi-User (4x4) MIMO technology, the Orbi Mesh System can stream data to multiple devices simultaneously. With MU-MIMO, your WiFi network can deliver faster throughput to every MU-MIMO connected device. That means faster downloads and smoother streaming for your devices.

Orbi Quad-Band Mesh Technology: NETGEAR Orbi's Quad-band mesh technology creates the ultimate WiFi experience. Innovative Quad-band WiFi helps you download, stream, game, and more on the fastest internet speeds available in your home on every device. A dedicated second 5 GHz band provides backhaul duties, freeing up more bandwidth for the other three bands. 360° WiFi Coverage: The Orbi router and satellites are each equipped with 12 high-performance antennas that can provide full 360° coverage throughout your home and yard, and up to 10,000 sq. ft. of coverage.

LAN Ports: Gigabit Ethernet ports on the add-on satellite make it convenient to set up. The Orbi RBE970 add-on satellite is outfitted with one 10 Gbps Multi-Gigabit LAN port and two 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps LAN ports.

NETGEAR Orbi App: Use the NETGEAR Orbi app (for Apple iOS 14.0+ and Android OS 5.0+), to setup and personalize the Orbi Home WiFi System. The NETGEAR Orbi app makes it easy to set up and personalize your Orbi WiFi System. With the app, you can install the Orbi mesh network system in just a few steps; simply connect your compatible Apple iOS or Android device to the router network and the app will walk you through the rest. Once set up, you can use the intuitive dashboard to pause Internet on your connected devices, run a quick Internet speed test, and much more.

3 Separate WiFi Networks: The NETGEAR Orbi WiFi 7 Mesh System lets you setup 3 different WiFi networks:

• Main Network: The Main WiFi network broadcasts simultaneously in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands. The 3 bands cannot be turned off in the Main network, but the SSID, security option, and password can be configured.
• IoT Network: The Internet of Things (IoT) network is enabled by default, letting you connect WiFi-enabled smart devices that can range from light bulbs to appliances. You can select which WiFi bands the IoT network will use, change the SSID, security option, and password.
• Guest Network: An optional Guest network is enabled by default, letting guests connect to your WiFi without compromising the security of your other networks. The SSID, security option, and password can all be assigned.

VPN: The Orbi WiFi 7 Mesh System lets you create a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to securely access your network via the internet when you are not at home. The VPN feature must be enabled on the router and you must install and run VPN client software on the computer.

Voice Control (Optional): You have the option of controlling the Orbi mesh WiFi network with voice commands using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant enabled device (sold separately). When you enable the Orbi to work with Alexa or Google Assistant, you can use voice commands to configure your router's settings. You can also ask Alexa or Google to send your network credentials to your smartphone or tablet, which makes accessing your credentials more convenient while still keeping your information secure. In addition, you can ask Alexa or Google to enable/disable the guest network and reboot the router.

• Before you enable the Orbi router to work with Alexa or Google, you must download the NETGEAR Orbi app, create a remote access account, and register your router with your remote access account.
• There are two ways to enable the Orbi router to work with Alexa or Google. You can use the command "Alexa, enable the NETGEAR skill" or "Ok Google, talk to NETGEAR"; or you can manually link the NETGEAR skill to the Alexa app (for Apple iOS 11.0+ and Android OS 6.0+) or Google Home app (for Apple iOS 11.0+ and Android OS 5.0+).

Built into select NETGEAR WiFi routers and systems, Smart Parental Controls offer a number of ways to manage your children's online activity and promote good online habits. NETGEAR offers a free 30-day trial period, after which a Premium Subscription ($7.99/month, $69.99/year) will be required for most features.

Mounting: The Orbi RBE970 add-on satellite is designed to sit on a table-top or shelf and features rubberized anti-slip pads along the bottom of the unit.
