ISP Compatibility: The NETGEAR RS700S works with your existing gateway or modem and Internet service provider right out of the box and you won't need to change your current equipment to use the router. The RS700S uses a single Wi-Fi name (SSID) and with just a couple of clicks, your secure Wi-Fi network will be ready in no time. If your gateway or modem has router functionality, when you set up the NETGEAR network, turn off your existing gateway or modem's Wi-Fi to improve performance.

360° Wi-Fi Coverage: The RS700S router is equipped with 8 high-performance antennas that can provide full 360° coverage throughout your home and yard, and up to 3,500 sq. ft. of coverage.

WAN and LAN Ports: Gigabit Ethernet ports on the router make it convenient to set up. The RS700S router is outfitted with one 10 Gbps Multi-Gigabit WAN port, one 10 Gbps Multi-Gigabit LAN port with port aggregation, and four 10/100/1000 Gigabit LAN ports with LAN port aggregation capability. The WAN port is used to connect your Internet modem, while the LAN ports are used to connect your local network devices.

2 Separate Wi-Fi Networks: The NETGEAR RS700S lets you setup 2 different Wi-Fi networks:

• Main Network: The Main Wi-Fi network broadcasts simultaneously in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands. The 3 bands can be turned on/off in the Main network, the SSID set, security options, and password configuration.
• Guest Network: An optional Guest network is enabled by default, letting guests connect to your Wi-Fi without compromising the security of your other networks. The SSID, security option, and password can all be assigned.

VPN: The RS700S lets you create a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to securely access your network via the internet when you are not at home. The VPN feature must be enabled on the router and you must install and run VPN client software on the computer.
