Nice addition to the hue light system

Once this light was mounted & connected to power, it worked beautifully with my existing hue system, and easily integrated. I use this light fixture to replace an existing non-Philips hue light. The most difficult part was actually the installation. Although Phillips gives you all the parts that you need, I had to modify with existing mounting screws. I used the existing mounting housing from the prior light to fix the mounting brackets that came with the hue light. However, although the mounting brackets were easy to install, the mounting screws that hold the light were not long enough with where the bracket ended up being placed relative to the outside wall. It was very annoying and had to modify using longer screws, however, this took time to figure out and had to continually unthread the wires and the bracket to figure out that the bracket was too deeply recessed for the existing screws to be used. Wish they had supplied longer screw options instead of giving you one size fits all. However, I did get it to work and the fixture seems to be secure. Once connected with power, the hue system easily recognized it, and got it to integrate very nicely. I've used hue lights for years, and although they are expensive, they do last a long time and seem to be worth the money, given the automation and aesthetic variation that it provides. Bulbs last years, so longer than your average lightbulb for sure.

Nice porch light

Great addition to my Hue ecosystem. Connects seamlessly to hub; looks great; extremely bright. A bit larger than it looks in the pictures. Quick delivery from Crutchfield, as always.
