Flush-mounted with a super-low profile, the Being gives you tunable shades of diffuse white light.

With a contemporary round aluminum design, super-low profile, and soft, diffuse lighting effects, the Being ceiling fixture from Hue gives you tunable light from warm to cool white. Bluetooth control means you can operate the Being without a hub. That's a feature many Hue users will appreciate.

Control it all with the app

The free Philips Hue app makes it easy to turn the light on and off and adjust the brightness and tone. You can also group, schedule, and create presets for up to 10 lights using Bluetooth, and more using the optional Philips Hue Wireless Bridge (sold separately).

You can set timers and create routines — for example, a “wake up” routine gradually increases the brightness in your bedroom, like a smart sunrise.

Or use your voice

You can control your lighting system hands-free if you've got a voice assistant. The Being works with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. That means you can turn your lights on or off, dim them, and recall your favorite presets just by asking.

Add wall control

Operating your lights with an app or your voice is super-convenient, but some folks prefer a good old-fashioned wall switch. A Hue dimmer adds a wall-controlled option to your Bluetooth- or Bridge-based system — and it's battery-powered so you don't need to deal with any wiring.

Overview: The Philips Hue Being ceiling light can be used as a standalone light or as part of your smart lighting system. The Being ceiling light has a contemporary design with an aluminium frame and installs flat against ceiling of your kitchen, living room, or bedroom. Its White Ambiance light lets you set the mood with warm to cool light tones using the Philips Hue app on your smartphone or tablet, or control the light with your voice through your favorite voice assistant. The Being ceiling light is covered by a 2-year warranty.

White Ambiance: Using the Philips Hue app, you can choose from over 50,000 shades of light from warm white (2200K) to cool daylight (6500K). The light can be deeply dimmed as a nightlight or fully bright for work or other tasks. The Philips Hue app offers several light recipes, or preset scenes, with different shades of white light for your daily activities: Energize, Concentrate, Read, and Relax.

Note: The LED light is built into the fixture and is not user-replaceable.

Installation: The Philips Hue Being ceiling light replaces an existing light fixture, and requires hardwiring into your home's electrical wiring. Installation should be completed by an experienced installer or a qualified electrician in accordance to your local electrical code.

Control: The Being ceiling light can be paired to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth for local control within a single room. Using the Philips Hue app, you can control up to 10 compatible lights and light fixtures within a range of approximately 30 feet (10 meters). Pairing the light to the Hue Bridge (sold separately) expands your control to up to 50 lights/fixtures throughout your entire home, and enables control in or away from home. The optional Dimmer Switch lets you control your lights (up to 10) without the Bridge or a smartphone app.

Voice Assistant Control: The ceiling light can be controlled by some of your favorite Voice Assistants. You can use simple voice commands to turn the light on or off or dim/brighten the light. Being is compatible with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant (Bluetooth or Hue Bridge control), as well as Apple HomeKit (Siri) when paired to the Bridge.

Apps: When your Philips Hue products are paired to the Hue Bridge, or control them via Bluetooth, you should use the Philips Hue app. The app is compatible with Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running iOS version 14.0 or later, and with Android devices with version 10.0 and up.
