Hue's Infuse Ceiling Light is an attractive way to add some smart and colorful lighting to hallways, dens, and other areas of your home where you want a hardwired fixture. It has a slim, contemporary design, and the integrated white and color ambiance LEDs deliver soft, diffuse lighting effects in your choice of over 16 million colors and 50,000 shades of white light.
The Infuse ceiling fixture comes in black or white.
No Bridge required
One of the only complaints I've heard about Philips Hue lights is that you have to have a separate Bridge to control them. Well — not anymore. This one connects to your mobile device using Bluetooth. You can then use the Hue mobile app to control up to ten lights in one room of your home.
Use your voice
You can also control this light hands-free if you've got an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device. That means you can turn your light on or off, dim it, and recall your favorite presets just by asking.
Add wall control
Operating your lights with an app or your voice is fun, but you might find that some members of the household prefer a good old fashioned wall switch. If so, you can pick up a Hue dimmer to add a wall-controlled option to your Bluetooth-based system.
Expand your system with a Bridge to do more
If you want to do even more, you can add a Philips Hue Bridge (sold separately). Then, you can control up to 50 Hue devices — even when you're not at home. The Bridge also adds compatibility with other Hue accessories and Apple HomeKit.
You can also set schedules and create routines. For example, a “wake up” routine gradually increases the brightness in your bedroom to mimic the effect of sunrise. That sure beats the buzz of an alarm clock.

Overview: The Philips Hue Infuse Ceiling Light is designed to cast light above and below the fixture. With its built-in White and Color Ambiance bulb, Infuse lights up your bedroom or living room in up to 16 million colors. Above the fixture, it casts a subtle light against the ceiling. To control the light or set light schedules, you will need to pair the bulb to the Hue Bridge (sold separately or as part of a starter kit), or pair the fixture directly to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth to control the ceiling light in the room. The Infuse Ceiling Light should be hardwired to your home's AC power, but does not require a junction box.
Light Fixture: The Infuse Ceiling Light is a modern-styled fixture made of sturdy black metal and synthetics. The low-profile circular light is 15" in diameter and 3-3/8", and weighs 6 pounds 13 ounces. It has a 9-7/16" metal mounting and wiring bracket, which can be mounted directly to the ceiling via 3 screws and wall anchors (not included), or attached to a electrical box designed for ceiling fixtures. The bracket has wiring connectors for the Line (L) and Neutral (N) wires and a grounding screw to accommodate your home's and light fixture's wiring. The Infuse Ceiling Light has a built-in 19.2W LED bulb which produces up to 16 million colors or a range of white light from 2000K to 6500K. Out of the box, it has a light output of 2100 lumens at 2700K, up to a maximum of 2350 lumens at 4000K. When paired with the Hue Bridge or via Bluetooth, the ceiling light can be dimmed or brightened, turned on or off, or the color changed using the Philips Hue app. The bulb has an estimated nominal lifetime of 25,000 hours and 50,000 switch cycles. The bulb can be professionally replaced (not user replaceable).
Philips Hue App: The Philips Hue app, when used with the Hue Bridge, gives you full home control of your Philips Hue lights. Within the full Hue Lighting System, you can set timers and schedules, control lights away from home, set wake-up and go-to-sleep routines, and sync the lights to your music, movies, and video games. Additional Hue products can be added to the system, up to a maximum of 50 bulbs and 12 Hue accessories that can be controlled by a single bridge. Bluetooth control has been incorporated into the Philips Hue app, allowing control of up to 10 Bluetooth-compatible Hue products from within the room. The app is available for Apple devices running iOS 14.0 or later, or for Android devices running Android 10 and up.
Bluetooth Control: The light is Bluetooth-compatible, allowing you to control the light from the room without the Hue Bridge. Up to 10 Bluetooth-enabled lights can be controlled from your smartphone or tablet from up to 30 feet away. You can turn the lights on or off, dim or brighten the bulb, and apply Light "recipes" for everyday tasks. You can even control them with your voice through the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Bluetooth control requires the Philips Hue app.
