A Great Alternative if Space is an Issue
Richard from Palmyra, VA on 7/15/2025
A solid and capable sub that can hold its own against larger alternatives. If you have the space go larger but you will get diminishing returns. Especially good as a music sub.
Pros: Size cannot be beat. Great if music is your primary listen.
Cons: Not quite as deep for movies as the larger SVS subs.

Disappointed
John from TECOPA, CA on 6/7/2025
I bought this because the rep on the phone suggested it. It sounds so bad I don't use it. I'm self employed and very busy, I was able to treat myself to the McIntosh RS250 and this was recommended to pair with it. I'm way past a return window but truly feel I wasted a lot of money on this. It makes noise not bass. It ruins the sound coming out of the McIntosh and I have just turned it off and can't see why I would turn it back on...I wish I had been able to figure this all out within the return window, but I wasn't able to spend the time. Looking at all the other reviews, maybe the McIntosh is simply that good and this isn't that bad but as a pair it doesn't work for me.
Pros: It looks nice
Cons: It sounds horrible. More than bass comes out of it. It reminds me of an old school cassette that needs some Dolby noise reduction turned on.

Excellent subwoofer. The idea was to purchase a small subwoofer to use in a library room which was on the small to medium size. Its prime role was for music and paired with Sonus Faber Concertino speakers. The pairing was excellent and seamless giving the Sonus Fabers great dimensionality - 3d sound stage. The folks at Crutchfield were extremely helpful in selecting and setting up this subwoofer. This is the 3d piece of equipment I have purchased from Crutchfield in the last month or so. I am extremely pleased.
Pros: Great sound Quality finish Easy to set up in a system
Cons: None so far

Seamless Integration
James from Lascassas, TN on 2/12/2025
Replaced a set of speakers with a set with much more detail. Loss a little sound on the bottom end. Had read many reviews of subwoofers and decided that the features available on the 3000 micro may make seamless integration easier. After making the recommended settings and allowing about 40 hours of break-in, on the pair of 3000 micros, I finely tuned the position and sound using Room EQ wizard and the SVS control app. The final adjustments created the seamless integration I was hoping for. Subs are fairly quick and blended well with the main speakers. Would highly recommend the SVS 3000 Micros.

My first sub. I've got a ton to learn. That's really why I picked this one. The app makes hearing how changes affect the sound of the sub from my seat. No adjusting then going back to the listening position. The sound is very good even at lower volumes. I have a lot more tinkering to do, but I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This is what 80Hz and below should be!
Michael from HUNTSVILLE, AL on 12/17/2024
Wow, after purchasing one of these, I want to replace the rest of my gargantuan subs with this little jewel. My medium/large, oblong room is almost too much for them, however, I'm used to standing beside a 5-string player and prefer to be a little low-end heavy. After doing "the sub crawl" with these, I found a corner to really make these shine. The sound is very musical, punchy, not boomy. They blow my ported subs, Klipsch 120sw and PreSonus pro 10 out of the water for music. For AV, I set the crossover a bit higher with the app, and I'm of to the races. Overall, I'm pleased as punch. Would recommend and buy again.
Pros: Size, looks, and the sound. Such a quick response.
Cons: Peter out below 30Hz, which is fine for non organ music, but might be missed by AV enthusiast who need that wall shaking, explosion rumble. No mud here.

Musical and muscular!
Rob from ROCKVILLE, MD on 10/9/2024
The early generations of subwoofers were wall-shaking behemoths best suited for hard rock, action films, and meeting halls. Subsequent subwoofers provided a more natural sound that bolsters classical and jazz listening in small rooms. I endured both generations before I purchased the SVS 3000 Micro from Crutchfield. Besides its unobtrusive small size and ease of use, the SVS 3000 Micro is simultaneously musical and muscular. I use it in a medium-sized room within a home theater system that supports conventional stereo. To date, my SVS 3000 Micro has not wandered independently, is fast, and thwarts bada boom via phone app adjustments and custom settings. Although I was up and running within five minutes, user tweaking takes time. Overall, the prior reviews are right; the SVS 3000 Micro is highly recommended in small and medium-sized AV settings. Two tips: plug it into a good surge suppressor and turn it off between uses.
Pros: Unobtrusive small size, ease of use with a free phone app, musical and muscular simultaneously. Has not wandered independently and thwarts subwoofer bada boom.
Cons: Tweaking takes time.

Wow, that was my first impression of how the 3000 Micro sounded. 2nd was the fact that it is beautiful. Every time the wife and I sit down to watch programs or movies I am amazed at the house shaking rumbles coming from such a small package. Do to limited space, I have this sitting directly behind our couch but you would never know it's there, the wonderful sound appears to be coming from everywhere. The opposing drivers in a sealed box plus great amplification makes for an amazing combination. I am truly impressed.

Over rated SVS
Howard from Sacramento, CA on 5/12/2024
Well SVS micro is simply a boom box with no low end. Over rated product. I own an earlier SB13 and clearly the quality is superior. SVS is mass produced and the quality is lacking. I replaced the 3000 with a KF92 and effortlessly outperformed the 3000. Similar design but just weight of the unit + separate amps per driver offers considerably better sound and more value vs a higher priced boom box.
Pros: Compact, smart phone app, nice finish
Cons: All boom, no low end at all, over priced for lower quality

Very good bass in a small footprint
Jaime from CAGUAS, PR on 4/28/2024
Bought two of these, using them for music to complement my revel f206, and for home theater. Its app is a big advantage for controlling subs from my listening position, this was a deal breaker on deciding between SVS and REL. Will like to sound compare them against the RELs, but chance since it require more $$$. Anyway, after several months I've been able to find the right spot, but is has taken some work due to my room acoustics . These subs have three preset available so you can set three different sound modes. For my room set-up probably two SB-1000 pro would work better or at least, would required less effort for the right spot. But don't get me wrong, my issues were related more to room acoustics. These subs have a small footprint but provide more bass that you may expect, sound is excellent, articulated and fast. Remember, these are dual active opposing drivers subs, so you have 2 drivers per sub. SVS app is excellent!
Pros: Adjustments, SVS app
Cons: Took a while for me, for the proper set-up.

Really impresive subsoofer.
Jonathan from Redondo Beach, CA on 4/11/2024
Has a lot of power and clear base response. Replaced a SuperCube III that died twice. Although the SuperCube has a 16-200Hz rating, at 600watts (I think peak, as the specs. do not define if it is RMS or Peak) the 800 Watt RMS from the SVS Micro 3000 really fills the room. Room is open on two sides and about 16 ft x 20 ft. I also have a Polk 12 inch subwoofer that can shake to couch, but even with it off the SVS does a great job making you feel the base. And it does have better base definition than the Polk Audio. Connected to a Yamaha RX-A2A.
Pros: Runs great out of the box
Cons: If you like to feel 10 Hz, this will not go that low.

Mike from Covington, LA on 2/27/2024
The small size makes it so much easier to place and move, and if you primarily listen to music then there is little if any compromise on sound quality; for the average listener you will not be disappointed. The phone app is such an advantage and makes it so easy to tailor the sound to the recording; until other manufacturers create something similar this by itself is a compelling reason to get this or any SVS sub.
Pros: light, small, beautifully crafted, brilliant phone app.
Cons: lacks punch for super lows some people want for cinema

Small Powerhouse
William from Evansville, IN on 2/8/2024
My woman's living room is small (16x16). The TV is 10' from the couch and there are chairs in both corners of the TV wall. Space is a premium and she will not allow large speakers. When I moved in she had 2 small powered bookshelf speakers sitting on the floor next to the TV stand. First I slipped in a pair of Warfdale EVO 4.2s in place of her anemic speakers. That was fine but those corner chairs hid the speakers. So I put them up on stands. She now hates them...shes a minimalist. Fast forward what to do about a sub? How can I hide one of those? Enter SVS 3000 micro! It behind the corner chair, hidden so well she hasn't seen it and it's been 2 weeks. The bass the 3000 cranks out is incredible. Phone app works well. It fills that low bottom end the Warfs can't touch. I'm very happy with it.
Pros: Small Footprint. Easily blended with existing furniture. Lots of boom for the buck. App makes adjustments a breeze.
Cons: No black veneer choice???

Upgraded from a SVS-SB1000 (non-pro). Has less boom but more thump, which is what I wanted. It won't peel the paint off your walls, but you will hear drums and bass like they were meant to be heard, without overpowering everything else. Also, the app is amazing. Be able to change the sub volume from your couch is a game-changer.

Compared the SVS 3000 mini to the 1000 and they are nothing alike in my system. I have a 3000 mini paired with Klipsch Forte IV's for a 2.1 music set up and the 3000 matches well with the fast bass of the fortes. The additional $200 over the 1000 is worth it for the space saving, minimal cabinet resonance and additional punch in the upper bass frequencies.
Pros: Tiny footprint Fast punchy sound App/software
Cons: Probably not the best choice for big home theater sound

The missing piece
Matthew from Honeoye Falls, NY on 12/19/2023
The size of this subwoofer is perfect for my available room. Although a larger sub may pack more of a punch and deliver more bass. This sub meets my current needs. I have a cambridge axr100 and a pair of Martin Logan f2's. In a relatively large room with tall ceilings this sub fills in those lows that were missing . A very good compact sub
Speakerman from Right behind you... on 7/30/2023
Six months in, this is unequivocally a great little sub. There's nothing like it in similar X,Y,Z dimensions or weight. Given its size, it is very powerful and fills in the lows missing from a pair of Polk R200 series bookshelf speakers really nicely. Don't expect performance like a 12-16" sub, but response down to 30Hz is really good, and could probably be goosed a bit with the app. With digitally adjustable volume buttons and an LED power output display on the unit it's easy to re-tune for different tracks and music genres, and you can make this sub really drive the lows (top 40, rap, hip-hop, test tracks) or just have it be a cleanly integrated part of the sound stage (preferable). Though it's expensive, I really recommend this sub if you need to fill in the lows in a high-end system but don't want some giant unmovable sub the size of a car. Really solid and pleasing performance for that usage. I'm driving this with the LFE port on a Yamaha A-S801 and it's just about perfect. I scored the scratch-and-dent price and it's 100% worth it. Crutchfield rules.

Let's start the review with a shout outs to Ace at Crutchfield who guided me into this subwoofer and then Jay at SVS who expertly guided me through the set up process. SVS does a fantastic job of getting your sub perfectly aligned with your room and your system. Everyone who purchases a SVS sub should call their support line for initial set up. Just superb! So, my room is 20 x 20 and this little sub is killing it. It gets plenty loud quickly. The sub has great punch and is perfect in my Onkyo/Def Tech 4.1 combination. Somehow this little guy raised the soundstage significantly. Good for movies and music. I could not be happier. And even though this little beast is pretty as can be, my wife is happy because it is tucked away under a little table next to our couch. 5 Stars for service, for design, for SPL and for sound quality!

GREAT little sub, but..
John from Orlando, FL on 4/27/2023
My experience is a bit unique with this sub. I'm using mine exclusively for music. I purchased the SB-1000 PRO first, but because of its size, wanted to try the micro, given that logistically, it fit PERFECTLY into my entertainment center (and out of the way). The 1000-Pro is off to the side, and kind of in the way. That said, I got used to the 1000, and found that in my experience the 3000 micro couldn't compete with the frequencies of the 12" speaker of the 1000. A big part of me couldn't help but wonder if I would've been perfectly happy with the 3000 micro, had I purchased it first. It's important to understand that when it comes to bass frequencies, wattage makes a HUGE difference (regardless of what volume you're listening at). That's one of the reasons bass guitar amps can be 1000+ watts. It's not for the volume, as much as quality of tone. That said, I returned the 3000 micro, and may either go with a single full sized 3000 that has more wattage, or just pick up 2nd 1000 Pro, given it sounds very, VERY good, with my Cambridge CXA61 & Wharfedale Lintons. The golden question will be.will it sound even better with one 3000, or two 1000 Pro's??? We'll see! I hope my research benefits your decision in some small way. I can't recommend their subs enough, and recommend you start with the micro, then work your way up from there, if you're not happy.
Pros: GREAT size, and placement options Sounds much bigger than it's size
Cons: Even with more wattage, and dual woofers, it couldn't compete with the low-end of my 1000-PRO. Whether you need that much low end.only you can decide.

Expensive at First Sight, A Great Value Once Listened To

This subwoofer is darn good. If you want to add bass to your system, whether to beautifully round out the sound or create some "boom," this is a good choice for the space-conscious audiophile. I have been using this subwoofer over the past year and have grown to appreciate its power, the quality and tuneability of the bass produced from this 12" cube. SVS 3000 Micro
Lawrence Univ from OSHKOSH, WI on 11/28/2022
A solid subwoofer in a very discreet package. Do not expect subterranean bass, however. The app allows you, for example, to boost the level at or above 20Hz, up to 6dB, with various slopes. Music contains plenty of information at that frequency, but, no matter where we placed the two subs, the subwoofer could not reproduce--and therefore boost--anything in the 20-25Hz region. And it could boost the 25-30Hz region only modestly. Use this sub (or a pair) if you want to supplement bass at or above 30Hz, not "above 20Hz" or even "above 25Hz." The listed frequency range is thus a bit misleading on this SVS product (or maybe it's just a lot more strict this time). Think "30Hz and above," and you'll be on target--unless, of course, you want exactly that 20-30Hz region fleshed in. If that's your target, do not buy this sub or even a pair of them, as we did and then were forced to return. Buy a sub that actually does 20-30Hz (or lower), all of it. The old line about subwoofers--"there's no replacement for displacement"--applies here. This mighty little box just can't move enough air to genuinely flesh in the sonic region below 30Hz.
Pros: Elegant design
Cons: Operates most creditably at 30Hz and above

Satisfies my needs
Ricardo from Oxnard, CA on 11/26/2022
I was debating between this sub woofer and the SB1000 Pro. I'm glad I went with this. It needed to be white and it fits perfectly where I wanted. The small footprint was important to me and I just needed to fill the lower frequencies on my basic 2 channel set up. Sounds good to me and the SVS app makes making adjustment a breeze. I'm using it in my 3 car garage with 2 Dynaudio Emit 10's and a NAD C700. Note: I bought an open box to save a few more bucks and I couldn't tell it was used at all. I used the savings towards the SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.
Pros: Great output for its size Available in white finish Small size SVS App
Cons: Pricey, get it on sale if you can or open box.

Absolutely Remarkable!
Alan from Rome, GA on 11/7/2022
Having lived with this sub for over 2 months now I think I can share my opinions on it. First off this may be the best value to performance deal out there in subwoofers. I have it running in a mid-sized room with an NAD C328 integrated amp and a pair of Triangle BR03s. The build quality is very good. The SVS control app works great and makes this an easy sub to integrate into your system. This little sub produces wonderfully clean tone with clear definition. It is accurate and musical in its presentation. The amp is powerful and provides a tremendous amount of control. This sub has never felt like it was anything less than composed regardless of what I was throwing at it. The dual opposed firing 8" woofers provide some truly remarkable low extension. It is hard to overstate how tiny this sub actually is-I thought the SB1000 Pro was small but this makes them look huge. All in all purchasing the 3000 Micro is a no brainer.
Pros: Controlled, defined, accurate, musical, powerful, small footprint, surprising low extension considering size
Cons: None

Great Bass In A Tiny Package
Francis from CHARLOTTESVLE, VA on 9/23/2022
Wow. SVS managed to get 12" bass out of a tiny 8" subwoofer. Set this up in my den (20x15) and it truly blew me away. It has high spouse approval factory due to it's size. I can't fit anything large next to my bookshelf speakers due to the limited room and I wouldn't pick any other subwoofer for the job. Highly recommend. It will not go extremely low, but I still think it's better than most 10" subs.
Pros: Extremely small. Tight, musical bass, lower extension that you'd initially think.
Cons: Won't accurately hit 25hz and below. Sounds slightly muddy with anything subsonic (if it plays at all).

Great once it's setup correctly
Not my name from Tucson on 7/31/2022
If you have the room then get the SB3000... If you have a middle to small room and want stealth bass output, then this is great... That said, when I first set it up I was pretty disappointed. I ended up calling SVS and they set me straight. Turns out I needed a stereo cable vs a single rca with a y connector. It was choking the signal. That with a few changes to my app settings and the thing came alive. I have dual SB3000's in my hometheater system and they also helped me tweak my calibration settings as well. I think most people will benefit from calling them. They are great! The micro's bass is tight, accurate and blends well with my Elac Carina's. The receiver is a Arcam sa20 stereo setup with white Bluesound node. I think it looks amazing! Lastly, due to design the micro's enclosure literally doesn't vibrate at all. It's balanced on the two small beams and doesn't move or vibrate the table at all. Pretty cool.
Pros: Great for music and enjoyable for movies.Small accurate, enclosure has no vibration even when bumping...
Cons: Can start out underwhelming. A call to SVS can often fix it.

Louis from Pasadena, CA on 6/8/2022
At first try without the app, It was being outperformed by an older VX-11 Velodyne. Dialed in with the app and messed around a bit with placement, and this thing rocks. It's in a smaller 10X12 room mostly used for 2 channel listening. It may be overkill, but I'm going to get a second one. This is paired with the new RP-600M II and couldn't be happier. Sub is musical and super transparent.
Pros: Musical, fast, and tight. Bass guitar really shines.
Cons: App doesn't remember settings on future listens unless you save. Not a deal breaker.

Excellent
Paul from Hanover, NH on 3/31/2022
I love it, this sub fits nicely in my space. I would fine it hard to find a better space friendly sub that sounds this good. Paired with the SVS Soundpath TriBand wireless transmitter this thing fits anywhere and sounds great. Due to the opposing dual-drivers the case of the sub produces no vibrations. Each sub drives in the opposite direction at the same time and balances the box. If you put your hand on the box you will feel no movement, even though it may be bumping loudly and filling your room with sound. It is magical. I would be surprised if SVS didn't copy this design with woofers in the 12-16" range. They have really found something special with this design. I would love to see this concept replicated with drivers that dig into the basement down to 20Hz and below. Super happy with this purchase. I will likely buy a second one soon.
Pros: Isolated vibrations, you get subwoofer bass without subwoofer rattle. Single driver subs will shake themselves and produce their own distorted sounds due to imbalanced forces. This sub just produces great bass without the distorted sounds of box-resonance because the opposing drivers physically balance each other.
Cons: This sub doesn't dig deep. If you want super deep sounds for theater effects you might want bigger drivers. But if you want a sub that fits easily into most spaces and helps to augment the lower end of some bookshelf speakers or tower speakers then this is a good choice.

I chose this over SB2000
Brian from Nashville, TN on 3/23/2022
I previously owned a SVS SB2000 (which I loved) and was concerned about whether or not this micro would be satisfying / how it would compare. I decided to buy based on reviews. Once I got it set up, I was initially disappointed with low end not feeling right. I contacted SVS for support to make sure I wasn't missing something - it turns out a setting on my pre-amp was causing the bass to distort. I removed that setting and now this micro is exceeding expectations. I really can't believe how powerful it is - I use it exclusively in a 2 channel audio setup and I wanted a sub that was subtle, musical, but could also dial up and be fun when I want it to. I love this micro! A few final thoughts: 1. if you have any concerns or problems with the micro during setup, contact SVS for support! they are really top notch. I'm so glad I reached out to them instead of just returning this sub 2. if you are deciding between this sub and the SB2000, you really can't go wrong with the micro. I'm very pleased. 3. the app makes this sub really amazing to control and setup. I love being able to play with the EQ, volume, and low pass filter and see results in real time vs going back and forth to the sub and my listening position.
Pros: small size, white gloss looks great, way more powerful than it should be, all of the positive reviews seem to really check out as true!
Cons: can't think of any. honestly

Small sub not small sound
Andrew from Stafford, VA on 3/20/2022
Integrates perfectly into a small space. Feature rich product at a very competitive price. It's smaller in real life than I thought it might be but doesn't lack in size.
Pros: Price options size
Cons: Shiny finish attracts fingerprints but easy enough to clean

Great subwoofer for apartments and finicky speakers
Kuljit from Boston, MA on 3/7/2022
After a lot of research and the obligatory Google spreadsheet comparing my options, I settled on the SVS Micro. It was essentially between this and the KEF KC62. While the KC62 is the better looking of the two, the feature set between these two is pretty much identical and the lower cost of the SVS along with a comprehensive control app won the day for me. In use, it is fantastic. I have it paired with a set of Genelec 8320A monitors. The whole setup works wonderfully, with a nice clean sound where the bass can be easily dialed in since the Genelec's are so small and lacking in low end. For my purposes, that of having a small unobtrusive subwoofer that delivered great sound, was flexible, and looked good, the SVS micro checked all the boxes.

SVS 3000 Micro
Perry from Hudsonville, MI on 2/26/2022
The svs micro can put out quite a bit of bass. It has been a struggle though getting it tuned to play nice with my B&W towers. It can be booming most likely due to my room geometry and layout. I don't think my experience is due to this SVS. Overall the app makes it really easy to adjust. Very compact for the bass it produces.

So much power in such a tiny box! I'm honestly still in the process of optimizing my setup, but what I've experienced so far is enough for me to keep this unit--it's more of me deciding whether I need another one for my small room :) The phone app control feature is very useful, especially when first setting up and fine tuning speaker system. Happy with the purchase!

Size Is Important
Liang from SAN GABRIEL, CA on 1/28/2022
I learned it the hard way why the size is important for a sub. The Micro is cute and rated high in amp power. The listed bass end is as deep as 23 Hz. The operation relies on micro-processors. But all this doesn't help much in extending the lows in bass. My main speakers go below 40 Hz. I checked SVSound.com and found that the Micro's freq response curve is not flat down passing 40Hz. Instead, it goes a long slope down by 12 dB from 40 to 23Hz. And I have no idea what the listed +/-3 dB means. The interval is 12 dB, not 6 dB. Wattage-wise, I tried to dial up from the default -10 dB to 0 dB. It did help but still not deep enough. The Micro has two drivers moving the air in opposite directions within a closed box. The sound pressure there will be doubled and the total output of the amps has to be quadrupled. For this reason, a bigger, single-driver sub may need only 1/4 of the wattage in order to move the same amount of air.
Pros: Size. Looks.
Cons: Efficiency. Bass extension.

SVS 3000 Micro
Greg from Hyannis, MA on 1/3/2022
recently purchased the SVS SB 1000 Pro, but a few days later read up on the 3000 Micro which I had not seen. Swapped out the SB1000 for the Micro, and this thing is on a whole different level. At normal volumes, probably not a huge difference, but once the wifey goes out shopping and I get to crank the volume, OMG! This thing literally kicks butt! Didn't really intend to spend this much on a sub, but buy once, cry once, right? Typical SVS beautiful build quality, great remote app and hard to believe it can deliver this kind of performance from such a small footprint. Now I see what all the audio reviews were so impressed with.

Best of Both Worlds
Fred from Peoria, AZ on 12/21/2021
I got rid of my 5.1 system because although movies sounded great, music didn't sound nearly as good as my old 70's stereos. So I bought a 2.1 Parasound pre-amp & amp (with a Theater bypass channel) and some KEF R3s and a very musical sounding sub. So now music sounded great, but movies didn't have that chest thumping overdone bass that media subs have. So after watching a U-Tube review of this sub and the phone app that comes with it, I bought one. Now I have the best of both worlds. I have two pre-sets: music, and media (which I also use for sports). Media is louder and has a parametric EQ 4 db bump at 50 hz that's 1 Q wide. Music has flat EQ and is lower volume. Depending on which I'm listening to, I just whip out my phone open the SVS app (which automatically connects to the sub via Bluetooth) and select one of my presets. Music and movies/sports both sound exactly like they should. And the technology they put into this puppy lets it achieve low frequencies like a 12" sub, but in a more compact package. It costs more than their comparable 12" sub, but I like the options it gives me on placement.

Awesome little subs great value versus comparable units
Brent from Honolulu, HI on 12/14/2021
I purchased two SVS 3000 Micro subs from the Crutchfield Outlet reassured that they were under warranty and covered by Crutchfield's return policy. One was an open box and the other a scratch and dent. The subs arrived very quickly to Hawaii and were double boxed with packing peanuts filling the gap. One inner box was clearly damaged and previously repaired with tape so I assume this was the scratch and dent unit. I'm happy to say there is no discernable damage to the sub itself and both units are functioning perfectly and playing nice with my main speakers. Very happy with my decision to purchase the SVS Micro from Crutchfield.
Pros: Small slick cabinet, SVS app, tight bass good for music and movies
Cons: SVS app does not connect at times and I have to unpair and pair the bluetooth connection to get it to work again.

The Little Engine that Can!
AK from Phoenix, AZ on 11/6/2021
This is a phenomenal subwoofer regardless of its small size. I'd put it up against almost any other traditional front-firing 8" or 10" sub and it would more than hold its own. My Micro 3000 is being used in a 260 sq. ft. dedicated "theater" room in my house that has a vaulted ceiling and some nooks for windows that make the acoustics a bit odd. I was initially getting some nulls and dead spots for bass when trying the sub. Concerned it could be the subwoofer I brought my 10" Martin Logan Dynamo from downstairs and had the same problem but it was even worse. After trying some different locations with the Micro 3000, running Audyssey again and adjusting the Micro 3000's settings with the fantastic SVS phone app the sub came to life and sounds FABULOUS. For my particular room and its odd shape this sub works perfectly and I attribute a lot of it to the fact this is a dual-driver, side firing subwoofer. You essentially have two 8" subs co-located and firing in opposite directions. I was able to position the sub out of sight as I originally wanted along a back wall about 3 ft. from the corner. If you're considering this subwoofer I'd highly recommend it for a few reasons and for a few particular use cases: 1. Performance-to-size ratio is incredible. Sounds much larger than it is. 2. The SVS app provides great control and let's you make adjustments to level/volume, crossover point, EQ, etc. from your seat. 3. Lots of placement flexibility. Try it in different spots.
Pros: Performance-to-size ratio Placement flexibility Musicality (sounds great for music)
Cons: A little expensive Piano black is great but can attract fingerprints

I'm Impressed!
Alan from Lancaster, OH on 10/19/2021
I'm not new to subwoofers and I have learned over the years that cheap ones can be frustrating because they just aren't enough. I have two Martin Logan Descent i's in my living room, and two SVS SB-3000's for home theater. I have a pair of Cambridge Min Minx 21's that I put in the dining room with an old Denon AVR-786 and a Denon 3910 for SACDs. I wanted to use the SVS app so I got the SVS 3000 Micro for "background music." This goes way beyond background music, this thing is fun! I don't really notice sound coming from the Micro Cabinet but it makes the little Cambridge speakers sound many times their size. Cheap subs pound, these go deep with authority! I really like this sub, it delivers an amazing amount and quality of bass.
Pros: The SVS App and the ability to disappear. The SVS SoundPath Isolation System fits the 3000 Micro.
Cons: None

Mini-Dual Sub Enclosure, Big Bass!
Tony from Columbus, GA on 10/17/2021
Own two Martin Logan Subs, this my first SVS sub owned. Purchased this sub because of the dual sub, cancel distortion design. Was surprised this sub could reach 23 Hz distortion-free. Pair this sub with two Peachtree Design 5 satellite speakers, blended well and matches the glossy-black finish. Surprising sound from such a small sub!
Pros: Huge sound, great looking glossy-black cabinet, downloadable app to tailor your sound, easy to use right out the box, great for music or movies.
Cons: None thus far

Small & Powerful
Raphael from Honolulu, HI on 10/4/2021
I was deciding between REAL 7i, SVS 2000 Pro and 3000 Micro. This new sub will pair with my existing KEF sub, and B&W 704 S2 tower speakers powered by Hegel H120. The listening space is typical sized condo living room. Mostly for music, from rock/pop to classical. SVS won over REAL for the ability to use APP to control the sub. This is critical because different music has different bass, and the B&W tower provide such a good bass, some music doesn't need additional boost of the subs, but others may need different level of boost. Being able to adjust from the listening position is the deal breaker. Narrow down to 2000 Pro vs. 3000 Micro, they are so similar in sound signature, I can hardly hear difference in 90%+ cases. Even for the ones I do hear difference, I think the position of the sub may be a factor. I was expecting the 3000m to be faster, but I can't tell from my audition. Same as the low end extension, I can't hear the advantage from the 2000 Pro neither. If I were being critical, the 2000 Pro may be a bit smoother. So, for the sound itself, I may pick the 2000 Pro. However, the small size and flexible placement of the 3000 Micro wins the day. I can put the 3000m INSIDE an open end table/stand behind the decorated pieces, and it still produce the almost same sound as the 2000 Pro. Both units drop bluetooth connection once a while, but re-connection doesn't take any effort.
Pros: SIZE !!! Power, App.
Cons: Bluetooth connect may drop once a while, but has no issue reconnecting.

Tight, Low extension.
Gary from SPRINGVILLE, UT on 9/21/2021
Just what I was looking for. A sub that can play low and loud. I have the crossover set at 70hz, and the parametric EQ set at 45hz with .8db gain. The volume is turned up enough to blend and fill in the bottom end with some Audio Engine HD4 speakers. This Micro 3000 is steady as a rock at any volume because of the opposing drivers. Tight response and great low extension. I listened to Rock, Country, Pop, Metal, Rap, this lil' sub did it all. I have a Rel T/5i in another room I use regularly. This SVS sub gets louder than it. It performs like a really nice 10" in a sealed cabinet. This is my first SVS sub I have owned. I am impressed!
Pros: There is an app to adjust all the settings for the Sub! Really compact. Only 10 inches SQ'd. 2 of these could easily handle Lfe channels in a home theatre with modest sized room.
Cons: I can't think of a single one.

The reviews are not wrong
Joel from Phoenix, AZ on 9/13/2021
I had researched this sub by reviewing a variety of YouTube channels from respected audiophile, subwoofer, and HT reviewers, and with the price tag and my previous experience with SVS, I decided to pull the trigger on this sub. It is literally tiny, and by far the smallest sub I have owned. It's even smaller than the SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers I am pairing it with! But it packs a strong and sustained punch, with tight and strong bass output. The SVS app allowed me to easily integrate the sub to my room and system, and it only took me 15 minutes to get everything dialed in. I love this little sub, and the wife acceptance factor is insanely high, given its small footprint and that the gloss black is a perfect match for my speakers. I am using this in a medium sized bedroom, and it does more than well enough for our needs, even when it's not able to be placed in a corner because of the position of our 2-channel setup and TV. If you are in the market for a smaller sub that delivers well above its size and price point, you can't really go wrong with this little beauty.
Pros: Value, size, ease of setup, performance well above its size and price point
Cons: None

I purchased two of these units to replace some Polk Audio subwoofers. I was very limited in space to fit the subs to provide bass for a larger media room. These subs fit the bill perfectly. They are powerful enough to make the room come alive and I finally have my media room starting to replicate an actual theater instead of just a big TV.
Pros: Compact with a lot of power and bass

This sub is what I would call transformational. Previously, one would have to buy a very large and expensive piece(s) of equipment to get the glorious, tight bass that the SVS 3000 Micro produces. A footprint of just under 11" and a finish in glossy black makes this a very attractive addition to your audio equipment. A great plus is the mobile app that allows you to control all of the advanced features of the sub. This subwoofer is a great value for the investment! Highly recommended!
