Turn any powered sub into a wireless sub

The SVS SoundPath can make any powered subwoofer go wireless — including one of the big beasts from SVS' own stellar sub collection. The included transmitter connects to your A/V receiver or amp, and the included wireless receiver connects to your powered subwoofer. Both components have a compact, low-key design that can hide easily in your setup.

Flexibility can lead to better sound (and bigger bass)

When customers set up their home theater system, they often call to ask us about subwoofer placement. I usually recommend moving your sub around the room, if you can. By testing different spots, you can figure out where you get the best sound in your particular space — with the hardest-hitting bass.

Of course, that type of experimentation is much easier when you're not tethered to your A/V receiver, or limited by the length of your subwoofer cable. The SoundPath gives you 40 feet of wireless range to play around with. (Just remember: you'll need to connect the sub and the SoundPath device to an AC outlet.)

Notes:

The transmitter and receiver are synched at the time of manufacture and will pair automatically when connected and powered on.
Avoid placing the transmitter next to other wireless devices that could create signal interference, such as mobile phones, baby monitors, 2.4 GHz wireless phones and 2.4 GHz WiFi routers.
Always try to keep a line-of-sight between the transmitter and receiver units with no hard barriers or walls between them for best performance.

Hey Naram, the SVS SoundPath is a one for one signal path so you do need one receiver per transmitter. Now SVS' other model which is their Tri-Band model does have the flexibility to use two recievers with a single transmitter. Can you split this to 2 subs without losing quality? I see it has white and red for mains but can you connect these to both LFE on the subs for 2 connections?

I see no reason why not, Matt. You can breathe easy even if you need to use an RCA splitter here (think maybe four subs) with very little reduction in sound quality. This SVS Soundpath is a great way to move the signal wirelessly across the room, even to dual subs!

No. The latency of the signal is below what you can notice. It isn't an issue at all. I have two SVS subs running wirelessly and ran the Room EQ software using a Umik-1 mic and also saw so blending issues with my mains and subs.

I've had this set up for a few months and I haven't noticed a difference between this and using the RCA cable. Of course, I didn't use any measuring tools of any kind. I just based it on what I was hearing.

These are full range transmitters that you can use in lieu of an RCA cable for most applications. If your powered speaker has an RCA subwoofer out it will work.

I only have one s s sub, it's maybe 15 feet away from receiver works great with wireless connection. I have a marantz , I turn it up to get connected then turn it back down.

They only work on 'line output' and not amplified - these are not meant for non-powered speakers. But you could theoretically attach a line out from a receiver.

Yes. However, these are designed for powered speakers such as my powered sub-woofer. Furthermore, don't plan on using several of these on speaker amplifiers because they will interfere with one other. I suggest that you call SVS and discuss with them what you want to do. BY the way, my SVS unit did not work so I contacted SVS and they immediately sent out a replacement unit and paid for me to ship back the defective unit. The new unit works fine with my powered sub-woofer even though I don't have a direct line of sight path between the amplifier and sub-woofer.

This is wireless communication device only that talks between receiver and subwoofer so yes you need receiver.

Mine work great. One is plugged into my Marantz receiver/amp/.... the other is plugged into my powered sub. I would need to more about your total set up to respond to your specific situation. I trust the techs at Crutchfields. give them a call.

If your existing receiver drives all of your other speakers, plug the SVS SoundPath transmitter into your receiver's subwoofer's output and plug the SVS receiver into your subwoofer's input. Cables are provided with the SVS SooundPath.

You need a receiver/amp to drive all of your speakers for your home theater sound. The SVS SoundPath enabled me to hide my powered subwoofer in a corner without running a subwoofer cable above the ceiling and through two walls to the receiver. The SVS SoundPath is a wireless link that replaces this subwoofer cable run and it works great in my application.

No, what you get is both a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter plugs into your audio receiver's subwoofer connector and the receiver plugs into your subwoofer.

You need to transmit the signal from your receiver to the other transmitter. You do this by plugging it into the your receivers SUB just like you would a cable. So yes you do

I'm going to say yes. If you have one output you will need a "splitter" to feed the two transmitters. I have two subwoofers and I use one transmitter feeding two receivers. Works like a charm.
