Similar to the original but better

I've had the original SVS Ultra Bookshelf for over five years and like their sound signature. I would describe the Ultra Evolution bookshelf as a more refined version, specially in the high frequency range. Everything is clear but not overly bright, at least in my rig. The sound stage is wider and deeper than the original. However, this differences (between the two) are not night and day. That said I definitely prefer the evolution version over the original. You'll need to pair them with subs. Mines are at 60Hz. and the integration for music is very pleasing. If you like the sound signature of the original I would recommend you listen to the Ultra Evolution and decide for yourself.

New Sounds

I have owned several different brands of speakers Bose 901 Dalguist DQ 12 MartinLogan Sequal ll ,Montange. And a complete MartinLogan home theater in another room .Nothing sounds quite like these. This is the sound I've been looking for forever. It's hard to believe sound like this can come from a 2-way speaker . I hear sounds from the tweeter I never herd on any of my other speakers.I would buy them again over any other speaker I've heard or read about

Crutchfield & SVS - A Winning Combination

I purchased these to replace my 28 year old Paradigms. I have only had them set up about a month so they aren't broken in yet. As you can see, I went with white just to change things up a bit and I am glad I did. They look great. Fit and finish are top notch. These speakers sound fantastic. The highs are incredible, although a little too bright in my living area. We don't have overstuffed couches or drapes etc. Surprising amount of bass from a bookshelf speaker. I paired them with the SB 1000 Pro sub and together they are outstanding. So far, we (my wife loves the sound and the new set-up.) couldn't be happier with SVS and purchasing them through Crutchfield is a no-brainer. They shipped in a timely manner and arrived damage free, they were double boxed. Crutchfield and SVS are a winning combination.

SVS Ultra Evolution Bookshelf

I purchased a pair of these speakers and after listen to them for a couple of days I can now give my review they sound very good anyone looking for surround sound for their home theater they will not be disappointed with these speakers. this is my second purchased from Crutchfield and the delivery was right on time
