These were an upgrade from a 25 year old set of NHT's. Needless to say there's a night and day difference. The Pinnacles just create this incredible sound environment - and seem to do it effortlessly.

Unbelievable imaging and bass

I reluctantly purchased these because we got new furniture and my beloved Infinity Kappa 9s would no longer fit. I purchased them without hearing them first only because of Crutchfield's great return policy. I could not be happier or more impressed! I am powering them with a Marantz 7010 configured to bi-amp them. No expensive amps or special equipment. The imaging is unbelievable and the bottom end still catches me off guard, especially during movies! They blow the Kappa 9s away! I streamed the live acoustic version of Hotel California with Spotify airplay from my IPhone directly to the Marantz and the soundstage was unbelievable! I literally had a friend have a tearful emotional reaction! I've never heard Magic Man by Heart or Whiskey for Sale by Buddy Guy sound better! They performed flawlessly, regardless of the genre played! This was straight out of the box and really too close to the wall. They were expensive but worth every penny. I'm a 63 year old former DJ and lifelong music buff. I've owned KLH, JBL, Klipsch and Infinity speakers and these are by far the best speakers I've ever owned and at the top of the list of the best I've ever heard. I'd put them up against speakers costing twice as much or more any day! I've used a lot of exclamation marks in this review and still have fallen way short of describing how impressive they are for both music and video! Of course the entire Crutchfield experience from advice on the decision to delivery was exceptional!
Pros: Unbelievable imaging Three dimensional soundstage Narrow width Impressive frequency response Fantastic bottom end Easily powered by A/V receiver They look great. Wife is happy! Expensive but still a bargain!

Just as advertised

Just got the new towers incorporated into the man cave. 7.22 bi-amp with identical SVS cables. Streaming,bluray,sacd all sound superb. Only using a slight toe-in with the surround speaker application. I only wish that the rear woofers had fabric grills...."three mischievous cats live here" in closing, I'll be spending more time working out and rocking out. SONIC BLISS...!
Pros: Sharp authoritative appearance with all the necessary sonic clarity.
Cons: No grills on rear woofers.
