Change your setup, change your settings
The MB1524 15" subwoofer features spring terminals that let you use the included jumper wires to configure the sub for 2-ohm or 4-ohm impedance. This flexibility lets you get the most out of your sub amplifier, and makes it simple to connect multiple subs. Its traditional high-density paper cone—like the bass speakers on all those old records you love—combines with the sub's double-stitched folded rubber surround and steel basket to minimize distortion and give you fat, warm bass at levels up to 500 watts RMS, so you'll get plenty of punch. And since it's compatible with sealed or ported enclosures, you have even more flexibility to dial in the kind of bass response you want.

Features
Terminals: One pair of spring-post input terminals offers easy connection of single banana plugs, dual banana plugs (standard 3/4" width), pin connectors, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Selectable Impedance: On the opposite side of the basket from the input terminals, there are four "shorting" spring terminals. Depending on how the included jumper wires are connected to these shorting terminals, the input terminals present either a 2Ω or 4Ω load. The power handling is the same for either setting; 500 watts RMS/1,000 watts peak.
Sealed Enclosures: Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music. Memphis Audio recommends a sealed enclosure of 2.5 ft³.
Vented Enclosures: Vented (or ported) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from a given amount of power. Memphis Audio recommends a ported enclosure of 4 ft³ with a 5½" diameter x 22" long port, yielding a tuning frequency of 33 Hz.
