Works really great. Very high sensitivity, meaning you can get quite a distance and with many walls between source and receiver before you start getting drop out. Classic Mac green display I have mine connected via MaC XLR cables to a Mac MA252.

Superior to MB20

Much easier to connect to than original model MB20. Also has a power trigger capability allowing it to turn on and off with my MAC6700 receiver remote. Lighted panel along with the connection information displayed is definitely an improvement over MB20. Streaming sound quality is excellent and same as the older MB20 unit. The easier connection to my phone is the best improvement over MB20 but all the other improvements make the move to the MB25 from MB20 is just icing on the cake.

Excellent Bluetooth transceiver

I'm using the MB25 to stream music from my legacy Connoisseur turntable and Technics CD player to KEF LS50 II powered speakers. The MB25 does a great job, and having a display (which is not a feature on the McIntosh MB20) is very useful. The only issue I've had is switching the Bluetooth connection between the KEF's and my iPhone to be between the KEF's and the MB25. For some reason, upon startup the KEF's automatically pair with the iPhone, and won't pair with the MB25. To resolve this, I have to turn off Bluetooth on my iPhone, and then the KEF's and MB25 connect. This is a small issue which doesn't affect performance in any way, so I'll live with it.

Added the MB25 to my older vintage 1980 Mac system and the sound quality with streaming Hi-Def supplier is fantastic. I would recommend this product without reservation.

This is a great product. It connects seamlessly to my vintage Mcintosh system. It sounds and looks great!

Just a product that stands above the competition! I bought the predecessor to this, the MB 20 and was just floored by how good bluetooth audio could actually sound. When the MB 25 came out with lighted display showing bit rate, bluetooth audio type(aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL, AAC and SBC) and the iconic Mcintosh logo...I had to have it. Let's just say with these new features and the same audiophile sound, I made the right choice. To me all the other bluetooth adapters are a step down. If you are going to incorporate bluetooth into your vintage system, this is the only option that makes sense.

Pros: Easy to read instructions and Easy set up. Sounds fantastic Looks cool Can be used as a reciever or transmitter.
