The Solidsteel SS Series speaker stands feature a unique open-frame tripod design that minimizes the acoustic interaction between speaker and stand while adding stability to your setup. The stands' rigidity and mass help drain unwanted vibration away from your speakers, allowing you to experience stronger, cleaner bass plus enhanced imaging and detail. Solidsteel SS Series speaker stands are perfect for use with medium- to large-sized bookshelf speakers in high-performance sound systems.
Crafted in Italy, these stands offer a stylish design and heavy-duty build quality. Each one features a hand-welded steel frame with an anti-resonant black finish. Precision ball bearings support an MDF top plate to provide a high level of speaker isolation. A putty-like reusable adhesive couples the speaker to the top plate and damps vibrations. The threaded stainless steel spikes are height adjustable to level your speakers. Optional stainless steel discs are available for use on hard surfaces.

Solidsteel Philosophy: Solidsteel's philosophy is that there should be no compromise in the build quality or benefits to sonic performance, and that the products should reflect the Italian "style" of design with the use of excellent materials, clean lines, well-considered utilization of space, and attention to detail.
Steel & MDF Construction: These bookshelf loudspeaker stands (SS-7) feature steel & MDF construction. The "tripod" body of the speaker stand is made of steel, while the top-plate is made from MDF (medium density fiberboard). The benefits of MDF include a much higher damping factor and superior rigidity over time.
Anti-Resonant Paint: The stand's steel "tripod" body is finished with an anti-resonant black, textured paint.
Spike Feet: Spike feet are included that screw into the bookshelf loudspeaker stand's "tripod" legs. Together, the spike feet and the three-legged base provide a solid, secure footprint. All spurious mechanical energies are discharged into the ground through the spike feet at the point where the table legs contact the floor. The spikes are removable to allow the steel tubular uprights to be filled with sand, lead shot, or other similar types of damping materials; which adds to the stand's already solid and secure footprint.
Note: There are no rubber feet or protective discs included with these stands, so be careful not to scratch your hardwood, laminate, tile, and vinyl floors with the spike feet. We recommend you purchase two sets of Solidsteel's protective discs (961DISCS3, sold separately) to protect your floors from damage.
Putty Pads: The included putty (sticky) pads attach to the stand's top-plate and provide a stable environment to place your bookshelf loudspeakers.
Dimensions: Each stand measures 28.5625" in height and are not adjustable. The base measure 13" (w) x 12.25" (d) for a stable footprint. The top-plate measures 6.3125" square to place your bookshelf speakers. The manufacture did not provide a maximum weight capacity for the stand.
Assembly Required: These bookshelf loudspeaker stands (SS-7) come mostly assembled, but do require partial assembly. The included hex-key and hardware are all you need to finish assembling the stands.

The choices on stands that both fulfill durability and aesthetic are slim. Solid steel first caught my eye, but when they came in I was blown away by the build quality. Definitely a deep expense for speaker stands but I can confidently say I feel they are worth every penny.
