DJI's FPV Drone Combo is the closest most of us will get to being a superhero. You can see through the drone's 'eyes' and fly in crystal-clear first-person up to (and I'm not kidding) 87 mph. That's insanely fast for a drone. 

The combo comes with a remote controller and the FPV Goggles V2, so you've got everything you need to take to the skies. Together, they look like something straight out of a sci-fi novel, with a sleek, futuristic design that begs to be played with.

A control mode for everyone

The FPV Drone has three core flight modes, each designed for a different flying experience.

  • N Mode is designed for beginners, with easy controls and the help of forward and downward obstacle sensing that can decelerate the drone automatically to help avoid collisions.
  • M Mode is for advanced flyers, giving you complete control and letting you fly incredibly fast. Once you're comfortable, few drone experiences can match zipping by scenery at full throttle with this drone.
  • S Mode is a new hybrid designed to make it easy to snag cool first-person footage. It uses simplified, manual controls that bridge the gap between N and M Mode.

There are also nifty safety features like an emergency brake, usable in any of the flight modes, that lets you press a quick button to make the drone stop moving and hover in place. The Return to Home is smart too, sending the drone back to its takeoff point if it loses connection or the batteries run dry. There's even a system to detect and warn flyers of nearby manned aircraft.

Strong transmission, stable controls

Getting a fuzzy feed or losing the video connection entirely mid-flight could be disastrous with a drone this fast. Luckily, the FPV Drone uses OcuSync 3.0, a new and improved version of DJI's already impressive transmission system. This wireless technology automatically switches between two different bands (2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz), to resist pesky interference and provide reliable high-definition video transmission. At less than 28 milliseconds of latency, the video feed and control over your drone stay sharp and responsive, letting you relax and focus on the thrill of flying in first-person.

With a range up to 6.2 miles, you also have some serious flexibility. You can ride the wind, skimming over a mountainside or through a ravine while planted safely on terra firma.

Making it easy to fly and share

DJI makes it easy to start learning how to fly in first-person. The DJI Fly app has comprehensive tutorials and the DJI Virtual Flight app lets you connect the goggles and remote controller to run through simulated flying exercises, helping you get prepped for your first real flight. Before you know it, you'll be zipping the drone overhead with confidence.

You can also edit your footage directly within the Fly app. Built-in filters, background music, and professionally designed video templates help you splice together cool content in minutes. Connect to SkyPixel, DJI's social media platform, to share your creations with other hobbyists in the community.

Aerial Drone

Advanced Safety Features: The DJI FPV is equipped with a Forward and Downward Vision System, plus an Infrared Sensing System for advanced safety. The Forward and Downward Visions Systems consist of two cameras each and the Infrared Sensing System consists of two 3D infrared modules. The Forward vision sensor automatically detect objects in front of it and decelerates the aircraft, so you can maneuver around the detected objects manually (there is no automatic avoidance function). When obstacles are detected, the aircraft will slow down, but will not stop completely unless controlled to do so by the pilot. The Downward Vision System and Infrared System help the aircraft maintain its current position, hover in place more precisely, plus fly indoor or in other environments where GPS is unavailable. In addition, the Auxiliary bottom light located on the underside of the aircraft improves visibility for the Downward Visions System weak light conditions.

OcuSync 3.0 Technology (O3): The FPV utilizes an adapted version of DJI's OcuSync 3.0 transmission technology (O3) for a strong and reliable wireless transmission signal with ultra-smooth, clear, and reliable image footage. The OcuSync 3.0 transmission system for the DJI FPV provides a maximum video transmission range up to 6 miles (10km), bit-rate of up to 50 Mbps, and a minimum end-to-end latency within 28 ms. OcuSync 3.0 (O3) and multiple high-gain, dual-band (2.4GHz/5.8GHz) antennas on the DJI FPV support omnidirectional signal reception, offering sensitive and stable signal when the drone is flying above or ahead. A stronger transmission signal is absolutely critical when flying a drone. An increased signal means pilots can fly farther and see more. It also means increased safety as loss of signal is less likely. And with a low-latency feed, pilots are more able to get the precise shots and movements they want for a better flight and filming experience.

  • 1080p HD Video: OcuSync 3.0 (O3) has a video transmission distance of up to 6 miles (10km) and can deliver a 1080p FHD resolution livestream directly from the drone's camera to the included FPV Goggles V2. Now, you can enjoy more freedom for exploring and more clarity for that perfect shot.
  • Dual Band: OcuSync 3.0 (O3) works at both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz with the capability of selecting the best transmission channel automatically. This enhanced anti-interference ability greatly improves the smoothness and stability of the video transmission, providing an integrated and immersive flight experience.

Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B): The DJI FPV provides an added layer of airspace safety with the industry-leading AirSense safety system. This receives Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) flight location information from airplanes and helicopters in your area that transmit ADS-B signals, displays those aircraft on a map, and provides audio and visual alerts through the Goggles V2 to help you keep the drone out of the way of those aircraft.

3 Flight Modes: The DJI FPV has three flight modes (Normal / Sport / Manual), plus a fourth flight mode (Attitude) that the aircraft witches to automatically in certain scenarios. Flight mode can be switched via the flight mode switch on the included Remote Controller 2.

  • Normal (N Mode): Ideal for new users, the Normal (N mode) offers immersive flight with traditional drone flight controls along with DJI safety features. The aircraft utilizes GPS, the Forward and Downward Vision Systems, plus the Infrared Sensing System to locate itself and stabilize. The aircraft will use GPS to locate itself when the GPS signal is strong and use the Downward Visions System to locate and stabilize itself when the lightning conditions are sufficient. When the Downward Vision System is enabled and light conditions are sufficient, the maximum flight attitude angle is 25 degrees and the maximum flight speed is 33.5 mph
  • Sport (S Mode): Get the dynamic look of FPV footage easily in Sport (S mode). This hybrid flight mode combines the freedom of flying manually with the simplified controls. The aircraft uses GPS and the Dotard Vision System for positioning. In Sport mode, aircraft responses are optimized for agility and speed making it more responsive to control stick movements. The maximum flight speed is 60.4 mph with a maximum ascent speed of 33.5 mph and maximum descent speed of 22.3 mph.
  • Manual (M Mode): Fly in Manual (M mode) for complete, limitless control and a full FPV flight experience with customizable parameters and unbelievable footage. Manual mode provides the high maneuverability, which be used for racing and freestyle flying. In Manual mode, all flight assistant functions such as automatic stabilization are disabled and proficient pilot and control skills are required. The aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 87 mph in Manual mode.
  • Attitude (A Mode): The aircraft automatically changes to this mode when the Vision Systems are unavailable or disabled and either the GPS signal is weak or the compass is experiencing interference. When the Vision Systems are unavailable the aircraft is not able to position itself or auto-brake, so potential flight hazards exist when flying in this mode. Environmental factors such as wind can result in horizontal shifting, which may present hazards - especially when flying in confined spaces.

Emergency Brake & Hover: FPV flight control can be intimidating even for seasoned pilots. That's why DJI FPV comes with an emergency brake and hover feature. Simply press this button on the remote controller while flying in any mode, at any speed, and the aircraft will stop and hover stably within a few seconds.

Return To Home (RTH): The Return to Home (RTH) function brings the aircraft back to the last recored Home Point when the GPS signal is strong. It does this by recording its real-time flight path, and when you choose to return home or if the control signal gets lost or the battery is low, the aircraft will fly towards the Home Point, bypassing any signal obstruction and reconnect to the controller. When the FPV detects an obstacle, it will choose a proper path to bypass it according to its altitude. The aircraft will match the images of the ground with those captured at takeoff for increased landing accuracy. When landing automatically, the FPV will scan the terrain of the landing area in real-time, then warn the user and safely hover if it detects

Note: If the aircraft's video link signal is lost during flight while the remote controller is still able to operate the movements of the aircraft, there will be a prompt to initiate RTH that can be canceled.

Customizable LEDs: Sporting front LEDs and aircraft arm lights with customizable-color, the DJI FPV allows your to make the aircraft even more unique.

Flight Recorder: Flight data including flight telemetry, aircraft status information, and other parameters are automatically saved to the internal data recorder of the DJI FPV. The data can be accessed using the DJI Assistant 2 (DJI FPV Series) software program that is compatible with Windows PC and Mac.

Gimbal Camera

Gimbal with RockSteady EIS: The single-axis gimbal of the DJI FPV stabilizes the camera, while DJI's RockSteady EIS (electronic image stabilization) lets you capture clear and stable images and videos even when the aircraft is flying at high speeds. No matter how dynamic your maneuvers get, the RockSteady EIS technology ensures your footage is ultra-smooth, stable, and clear. The gimbal mode will automatically switch according to your chosen Flight mode.

  • Attitude Stabilization Mode: In Normal or Sport Flight mode, the gimbal is automatically set to Attitude Stabilization mode. The tilt angle of the gimbal remains stable relative to the horizontal plane, which is suitable for shotting stable images.
  • FPV Mode: In Manual Flight mode, the gimbal is automatically set to FPV mode. The tilt angle of the gimbal remains stable relative to the aircraft body, which is suitable for FPV flight experience.

1/2.3" CMOS Image Sensor: The DJI FPV's camera features a 1/2.3" CMOS image sensor with a resolution of up to 12 million effective pixels. The aperture of the lens is F2.8, the focus range is 1.97' (0.6m) to infinity, and the FOV (field of view) of the lens can reach 150 degrees. The DJI FPV's camera has the ability to record 4K/60fps video at up to 120Mbps, plus capture 12MP still-images photos.

4K/60fps Video: The DJI FPV aircraft can record 4K/60fps video at up to 120Mbps, capturing crisp details that make footage look as exhilarating as the flight. Video is recorded in MP4 or MOV (H.264 / H.265). You can select between 4K or FHD video resolution.

  • 4K: 3840 x 2160 @ 50/60p
  • FHD: 1920 x 1080p @ 50/60/100/120p

12MP Photos: The DJI FPV aircraft can capture 12MP still-image photos. Photos are recorded in JPEG format only. It only supports single-shot recording. There is no burst mode or other advanced camera modes.

Camera Parameters: Camera parameters such as ISO (100-12800), shutter (1/50-1/8000s), EV, saturation, and WB can be adjusted. Advanced camera settings include video coding format (Standard or D-Cinelike), color, and anti-flicker, as well as distortion correction and image roll correction.

microSD Card Slot: The DJI FPV aircraft and FPV Goggles V2 each feature a microSD card slot for storage of MP4/MOV (H.264 or H.265) videos and JPEG photos on a microSD/SDHC/SDXC memory card (up to 256GB). A UHS-I Speed Grade 3 rating microSD card is required due to the fast read and write speed necessary for high-resolution video data. You can record to both microSD card slots and inserted memory cards at the same time.

FPV Goggles & Controller

FPV Goggles V2: The included DJI FPV Goggles V2 give you a first-person view of the aircraft's aerial's camera with real-time video and audio transmission. Now, you can feel the thrill of a truly immersive flight provided by the DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI's FPV's super-wide 150 degree FOV (field-of-view). It utilizes DJI's OcuSync 3.0 transmission technology (O3), offering a maximum transmission range of 6 miles (10km). You can adjust the goggles' Interpupillary Distance (IPD) between 58mm and 70mm to match the width of the lenses and your eyes until the dual-screen images are properly aligned into one smooth, focused image. The DJI FPV Goggles V2 can even be worn over glasses.

  • HD First-Person View: The DJI FPV Goggles V2 are a equipped with high-performance dual 2" screens with support of displaying a 810p/120fps live video feed. HD video transmission at up to 120fps gives you an ultra-smooth, real-time view of your flight.
  • Obstacle Detection Status: Obstacle Detection Status displays over the first-person live video feed. It indicates the distance between the aircraft and obstacles, as well as the general direction of the obstacles.
  • Playback & Control: The FPV Goggles V2 can also be used to play videos recorded by the goggles, as well as set transmission, control, and camera parameters using its on-screen menu and the included Remote Controller 2.
  • Audience Mode: The DJI FPV supports Audience Mode to share the view from the aerial drone on other sets of DJI FPV Goggles V2 (sold separately). Simply put the other DJI FPV Goggles V2 to the same aircraft channel.

Remote Controller 2: The DJI FPV's Remote Controller 2 is equipped with joy-sticks, dials, switches and buttons to operate a range of functions used to control the aerial drone's flight and gimbal-camera. It utilizes DJI's OcuSync 3.0 transmission technology (O3), offering a maximum transmission range of 6 miles (10km).

Note: The Remote Controller 2 does not offer a built-in display and does not support the DJI Fly app for Apple iOS or Android OS.

Optional DJI Motion Controller: Take your flight experience to new heights with the DJI Motion Controller (sold separately). This compact controller allows the aircraft to maneuver based on your natural hand motions.

DJI Fly App: The DJI FPV must be activated before using it for the first time. Make sure all devices are linked after powering on the aircraft, goggles, and remote controller. You'll need to connect the USB-C port of the goggles to your compatible smartphone device, download the DJI Fly app (for Apple iOS 11.0+ and Android OS 6.0+), and follow the prompts to activated. An internet connection will be required for activation. The DJI Fly App also provides other unique and useful features.

  • Smartphone View: The DJI Fly app can be used to display the live-view video feet from the DJI FPV Goggles V2 on a compatible smartphone device when connected via USB.
  • Fly Spots: From the DJI Fly app, you can view or share nearby suitable flight and shooting locations, learn more about GEO zones, and preview aerial photos or different locations taken by other DJI Fly app users.
  • Album: View photos and videos from the DJI FPV and your compatible Apple iOS or Android OS device using the DJI Fly app. You'll be able access image templates and edit imported footage.
  • DJI Academy: The DJI Fly app includes access to the DJI Academy where you can find easy-to-follow flight tutorials and instructional videos to help you get started.

Rechargeable Battery

Rechargeable Batteries: The DJI FPV is powered by a high-density, rechargeable lithium-polymer (LiPo) battery that has a capacity of 2000mAh and voltage of 22.2V. This battery can provide a maximum flight time of up to 20 minutes (at 24.8 mph with 0 wind) and a hover time of 16 minutes (with 0 wind). The included FPV Goggles V2 features a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 1800mAh that has a maximum runtime of approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes. The included Remote Controller 2 features a built-in, rechargeable lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 5200mAH and can last up to 9 hours. The operating temperature for all batteries is 41°F to 104°F. The batteries must be fully charged before using it for the first time.

  • Intelligent Flight Battery: The DJI Intelligent Flight Battery in the FPV adopts the latest technologies to ensure that the flight control system is able to obtain accurate battery level. This allows it to calculate remaining flight times more accurately. It also gives pilots a full understanding of the overall battery status, including real-time battery cell status, circle number, temperature and more - all display on the included FPV Goggles V2.
  • BMS (Battery Management System): As well as monitoring the battery status during flight, the BMS (Battery Management System) also has overcharge and over discharge protection, reducing the likelihood of battery damage. When not in use for extended periods of time, DJI Intelligent Flight Battery automatically discharges to 50% charge, keeping it at an optimum charge level for extended battery life. When flying in cold temperatures, the BMS will activate low-temperature protection and will control power output according to the temperature. This ensures the battery can provide adequate propulsion without damage from the cold.

Notes: The aerial drone will automatically return to home if the battery signal is getting too low. The drone may land automatically if the current battery level can only support the aircraft long enough to descend from its current altitude.

Battery Charger: An AC power adapter is included to charge the FPV's Intelligent Flight Battery. The AC power adapter is also outfitted with two USB (type-A) ports to charge the FPV Goggles V2's battery and the built-in battery of the Remote Controller 2. It takes approximately 50 minutes to fully charge a single Intelligent Flight Battery. The optional DJI Charging Hub (sold separately) lets you charge up to three Intelligent Flight Batteries at once. The Intelligent Flight Batteries will be charged in sequence according to their power levels, from high to low.

Note: The Intelligent Flight Battery and FPV Goggles V2's battery must be removed from the aircraft for charging using the AC power adapter.
