Anthem MRX and AVM Rack Mount Kit

This product works, but could be nicer. Finish just OK, not sure why the slots for 6 rack screws and I could not, no matter what get it to mount directly below another unit. I tried a few. Ended up wedging a small Middle Atlantic vent above the Anthem so there wasn't an opening. Installed a Denon the same day, and that kit was way nicer. Anthem can do better.

Too wide. Unbelievable. Also overpriced.

Amazingly, it makes the MRX720 too wide. I have to find a way to cut the metal. Excess is about a quarter inch (1/8" each ear).

It works

Installed to AVM90. Fit and finish is good. Value for what you pay is questionable, it does work fine. Need 4U space as it has 1/2U spacer on the bottom.Intend might be to cover the feet. I always remove mine when it goes to rack.

Perfect fit and finish for rack mounting the AVM70/90. This mount fills the opening so there are no gaps around the face like there would be with an open shelf.

Anthem MRX and AVM Rack Mount Kit

The rack mount does the job and leaves a professional appearance, but it's not as nice as rack mounts from, for example, Denon/Marantz. The Anthem AVR/AVP itself is about 3.75RU, but the bottom plate of the mount makes it 4RU. The bottom plate does not act as a crossmember like you would expect, it's purely for aesthetics. The mount is designed so the feet can stay installed, which is unusual, I took mine off anyways out of habit. This rack mount would never fly in the data center world, but it's generally adequate for home theater. My rack is tall and on wheels, so I prefer fixed mounts. If your rack is 100% stationary, just use a 2RU shelf. Be gentle with the screws, the ones for the top holes on each side are not really correct.

Perfect. Works as good as I expected. Very clean and professional look in my exposed AV rack. Wish more manufacturers would make AV rack kits!

Two stars only because it worked. This price is a lot of money for three little pieces of sheet metal and four tiny screws. For a little more money I could have bought a better rack shelf, and I wish I had.
