Monitor and adjust to ambient noise levels
Monitor and adjust to ambient noise levels
The AtlasIED Atmosphere™ X-ANS is an ambient noise sensor that provides data for the Ambient Noise Compensation function in an Atmosphere AZM processor. That allows for automatic volume adjustment within a given zone based on how loud the environment is. To protect privacy, the sensor returns only data to the processor, not live audio.
The back of the unit features dual RJ-45 ports for connecting to an AZM processor or daisy-chaining up to four X-ANS sensors per zone.

Product Research
Features
Overview: The Atlas X-ANS is an ambient noise sensor designed specifically for use with one of Atlas' Atmosphere Zone Master Signal Processors, like the AZM4 or AZM8 (both sold separately). AZM DSP processors feature Adaptive Ambient Noise Compensation that allows it to automatically adjust output levels based on the ambient noise level of a given room or space.
Note: The Atlas X-ANS ambient noise sensor only sends data back to the host processor, not audio.
Sensor Range: The X-ANS has an audio pickup range of 30dB to 110dB SPL.
Connections: The X-ANS connects to the host processor via a CAT 5e/6 cable (sold separately). The rear panel features two RJ-45 sockets, allowing it to be "daisy-chained" together with additional Atlas Accessories, with a maximum cable distance of up to 1000'. Up to four X-ANS sensors can be used per zone on AZM processors, and up to 8 Accessory devices can be connected to a single AZM processor port. All Atmosphere accessories are designed to be "plug-and-play", with AZM audio processors automatically detecting and assigning appropriate audio settings for that device when connected.
