Product Research
Features
Overview: The Hosa Sidekick Passive DI Box (DIB-443) is designed to convert your high-impedance instrument-level signals from a guitar, bass, or keyboard, into a balanced line-level signal for running to a mixing console. The Hosa Sidekick uses a passive isolation transformer that doesn't require batteries or an AC power connection.
Input: A 1/4" TS jack can accept instrument-level signals. It can also accept line-level signals, based on the Inst/Line switch setting. The Sidekick lets you run your signal through a guitar amp or DSP processor that outputs a line-level signal, and then feed it into the Sidekick's input.
Low-Z Output: A 3-pin XLR jack provides a balanced, low-impedance (Low Z) line-level signal for running to a mixing console.
Output: A 1/4" TS output jack provides a direct pass-thru for the input signal.
Switches:
- Inst/Line Switch: A 2-way rocker switch determines the signal type on the input jack.
- Ground Lift: A 2-way rocker switch lets you isolate the ground if needed, for a clean noise-free signal.
Construction: The Hosa Sidekick Passive DI Box is housed in a durable metal chassis that's designed for professional use. Four attached rubber feet help provide a tactile grip on flat surfaces.
