Features
Ultra-Slim Design: The KEF Ci160TR is an ultra-slim in-wall/in-ceiling loudspeaker that requires only 1.4375" of mounting depth. It also features an ultra-thin bezel (UTB) and comes with an ultra-low profile magnetic grille that protrudes only 0.1875" from the surface of your ceiling. The speaker's grille and bezel are white, but can be painted to match the color of your wall or ceiling.
2-Way Driver Configuration: The KEF Ci160TR utilizes a 2-way driver configuration that features a 1" aluminum dome tweeter and 4.5" mid/bass driver for a frequency response of 110 to 24,000 Hz (+/-6dB) and power handling capabilities of 10 watts to 100 watts.
- 1" Aluminum Dome Tweeter: The 1" aluminum dome tweeter employs venting and KEF's unique Tangerine Waveguide to enhance its natural high frequency response and already exceptionally wide dispersion characteristics (160-degrees of coverage), as well as adding protection for the tweeter.
- 4.5" Polypropylene Woofer: The 4.5" polypropylene cone woofer features a rigid flat diaphragm to deliver clean upper bass and mid-range response.
Spring-Post Terminals: The KEF Ci160TR is outfitted with a set of gold-plated spring-post terminals that will accept bare wire up to 14AWG (not compatible with banana plugs). The gold-plated terminals provide excellent audio signal transfer and resistance to corrosion. The Ci160TR is 8-ohm rated.
Mounting Options: The KEF Ci160TR in-wall/in-ceiling loudspeaker offers versatile installation and can be mounted in the wall or ceiling using its integrated "dog-leg" clamps or via direct screw-in fastening. The speaker requires a round cutout that measures 7.6875" in diameter and 1.4375" in depth. The Ci160TR can be mounted to a wall or ceiling surface with a thickness of 0.375" to 1.0" thick. Make sure to leave approximately 0.625" of clearance around the inside of the cutout to accommodate the "dog-leg" mounting clamps.
Weather Resistant: Manufactured using a proprietary plating and powder coating process, the KEF Ci160TR is UV protected and moisture resistant making it safe for use in bathrooms, pool areas, and on ocean yachts.
