Product Research

Features

Wireless Subwoofer Receiver: The KW1-RX allows you to add a second wireless receiver to the KEF KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter (sold separately), so you can connect two compatible KEF powered subs - including the KUBE 8b, 10b, 12b, and KF92 (all sold separately).

High-Quality Wireless Transmission: The KEF KW1 wireless subwoofer system provides a high-quality wireless transmission that delivers every ounce of detail and impact from your movie and music soundtracks. The KW1 operates in the high-bandwidth 5GHz RF band with an auto-selectable digital wireless link of 5.2GHz or 5.8GHz. It delivers a wireless audio signal up to 24-bit/48kHz that is near lossless with a low-latency of less than 17ms. The KW1 has a wireless range of approximately 49' (15M). Pairing is intuitive and simple with a pairing button on the transmitter and receiver. Simply, press both buttons to pair the two devices.

Expansion Port: The KEF KW1-RX wireless receiver simply plugs into a compatible KEF powered sub's proprietary "Expansion" port to receive its wireless audio signal from the KEF KW1 wireless subwoofer system's transmitter. The proprietary "Expansion" port on the compatible KEF subwoofer also powers the wireless receiver (no external AC adapter or USB port required). Once the wireless receiver is plugged into the "Expansion" port, it is secured to the back of the powered sub by the included screws.

Power Requirements: The KW1-RX wireless receiver is powered by the proprietary "Expansion" port on the back of the the KUBE 8b, 10b, 12b, or KF92 powered subwoofer.

Customer Q&A

Q
Hi I recently bought an EV Hyundai car and I am interested in installing a subwoofer in the trunk, however without the need to connect wires to the dashboard. There is a 12V output which I can use to power my subwoofer in the trunk, however, I am still not sure how to solve the signal issue? Can I use this device advertised here to transmit the audio signal to the car's existing sound system using Bluetooth?

This will not work. It is possible to get the audio signal needed from a stock system to send to a subwoofer by using the speaker wire ran to each speaker location which means you won't have to work in the dashboard. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation
