Freakin' AWESOME
Scott from REXBURG, ID on 6/19/2025
Finally got my new system up and running and have had time to listen to these a bit. Using an Anthem AVM 70 and a pair of NAD C298 amps to bi-amp the KEF R11 Meta's. For reference, I've had many top-of-the-line speakers and systems over the years including Outlaw and Klipsch. When I saw a reviewer say that he compared these to the LaScalla's, That's when I knew I had to give these a try. The sound from these is phenomenal. The vocals and mid's are clear and precise. But it's the bass that surprised me. Even though I have an SVS PB4000 sub, I didn't run it when first trying out these speakers. I wanted to know if all the hype was true. Trust me, it is. I get goose-bumps listening to songs I've heard a million times. The accuracy is undeniable. Even my wife (who forced the sale of my Klipsches due to the harshness of the highs) commented on how good these sound. The sound stage is amazing and the imaging is just so cool to listen to. I highly recommend bi-amping if you can afford it. The KEF R11 Meta's really come to life, loud and clear, when you feed them enough clean power and bump up the volume. My love of music is restored.
Pros: Beautiful Walnut cabinets with matching grill. Wife loves the look! Sound is incredible. These babies rule!
Cons: None.

KEF R11 Meta Clean and Natural
Eddie from Windsor Mill, MD on 6/18/2025
I got these speakers in White Gloss, the finish is remarkable and the design is gorgeous. I use these as my back surround speakers, more for music to hear the background singers. The sound of these speakers is clean and natural with good separation in the mid-range level and the tweeter. These speakers have great depth and give outstanding details when listening to music and movies. For my taste I do wish they had a little bit more bass to round out the sound but all and all and for the price these are great speaker.

Elegant design and powerful sound
Aung from Escondido, CA on 4/22/2024
Beautiful design and well engineered tower speakers. The fit and finish is impressive and sound is a big step up from my previous Sonus Faber Veneer 2.5 towers. For music it is very neutral and good imaging. Movies have a good tonal presence with good mid bass. I paired the R11s with also KEF RC92 dual subwoofers and let me tell you, sound is amazing watching Dune in 4K. I'm using Anthem MRX 1140 AVR, to run all my sound system. Thanks Crutchfield for having a great selection of medium-high end products.
Pros: Sound, design, power handling
Cons: None

Phenomenal soundstage!
Brian from Clover, SC on 4/8/2024
After a lot of research, I've invested in my "final speakers." At least I hope so. These came impeccably packaged right on time from Crutchfield. Even the UPS freight driver commented on the high quality of Crutchfield customer service. Anyway, I had the speakers unboxed and installed within the hour. I guess I was excited! I initially fed them from an Eversolo DMP-A8 thru a 300W Emotiva amp. After a little toe-in I hit the sweet spot and, the soundstage image is amazing. A few more tweaks and before I knew it several hours of blissful listening went by. I then watched a couple of movies over the next few days. Even my wife who really doesn't care too much about all this commented on the smooth sound. I'm a race fan and watched the formula 1 race in Japan this past weekend. For grins, I switched from surround to stereo and, after a few laps, I forgot that the center channel wasn't active. The placement of the speeding cars and the commentators in the middle of the screen was amazing. Bravo KEF!

Accurate, clear, full sound with large sweet spot
Comet from Montesano, WA on 2/14/2024
While I have always had nice speakers the Kef R11 metas are on another level. I am hearing things in recordings I have listened to for decades that were just not there before. The soundstage and separation of instruments is outstanding. There is a realism to the human voice I have only heard from live performances. While there is a sweet spot it is much larger than with other speakers and even if you walk into the next room they still have a full sound to make other speakers jealous. I feel you would need to spend considerably more money to get a speaker that is noticeably better.

R-11 Most Impressive
B from Wailea, HI on 10/30/2023
Purchased a pair of these (walnut) from Crutchfield in April 2023. Shipping to Hawaii worked great and arrived perfectly. Speakers took a couple hours to really open up. I have a large ceiling room these speakers are placed in and they sound better every time I play them. I run them with Marantz M-CR612 and Marantz MM-7025. Could not be happier. I had KEF C-series that lasted me a good 20 years from age 18 to about 38, so I wanted to upgrade now that I am a bit older. These R11's do not disappoint.
Pros: Beautiful, clear and loud.
Cons: None.
