Great center speaker
Duane from Walnut Creek, CA on 1/8/2025
Great center channel, so much clarity to the vocals in watching TV and movies, Typcially when listening to music, I am more of a two channel person, but when I have, the sound is excellant. I have them matched with KEF R3 Metas for the front stage.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: None

At the center
Shawn from Fayetteville, AR on 2/12/2024
Perfect center channel to go with my R7 speakers and SVS SB-3000 sub. Natural sounding and smooth compared to the Klipsch it's replacing. Sounds even better biwired and with IsoAcoustic pucks under it. Crutchfield has been extremely helpful with my setup! Went with this instead of the R6 to save a bit of money. Matched with the sub I have no regrets.
Pros: Good size and price point for a center channel
Cons: Definitely want to pair with a subwoofer

Center Only
Loren from OSHKOSH, WI on 5/24/2023
The R2 Meta is put together very well, from construction to sound. The output is tightly controlled--but to the point of a fairly unmusical constriction on spatial cues. This design actually works perfectly as a center channel, of course, because its job is to provide clarity, strength, and nuance, leaving the AV processor to remove lower-bass content and to distribute sound to the other speakers in order to generate the correct sense of atmosphere. Used vertically in a pair as a Left and Right for two-channel music, however, the speaker has real difficulty creating a 3-dimensional space, regardless of placement. Our Crutchfield, Mark, kindly exchanged this KEF pair for a set of the MartinLogan XT B100 two-way bookshelf speakers, and the difference in atmosphere was evident immediately. Advice: confine the R2 Meta to center-channel duties in a HT setup; resist the temptation to pair them up for two-channel music--or for 2.1, as we also tried, achieving fine integration with the sub, but, again, resulting in a flat, unmusical space.
