iDatalink's HRN-RR-CH3 wiring adapter allows you to connect an iDatalink-ready car stereo in select 2007-up Chrysler vehicles, working in conjunction with iDatalink's Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module. Q
Will my factory backup camera work with this harness 2018 Jeep Compass latitude?
louis  Jul 06, 2022
1 answer
A
This iDatalink HRN-RR-CH3 Factory Integration Adapter does fit your 2018 Jeep Compass, but it's only one piece to the puzzle, Louis. You'll also need this iDatalink Maestro RR interface as well, this is the unit that downloads a "flash" specific to your vehicle, and allows all the gear to work together seamlessly. We only recommend using radios from Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC, Sony, or Alpine that have a 4 pin iDatalink Maestro port on the rear to connect with this unit. If you use all three pieces to the puzzle, you CAN keep your factory backup camera! Good news Louis, If you need help putting together the right package for you, we have Advisors at 1-800-325-9695 that can help. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_794ADSMRR/iDatalink-Maestro-RR-Interface-Module.html

Q
My truck never came with steering wheel controls what harness would be the best one for me for aftermarket radio?
shane  Mar 12, 2021

A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
Will this product solve the issue of the stereo harness not fitting?
jd  Jun 11, 2020
1 answer
A
I used this wiring harness in my 2018 Ram 1500 Express to replace the factory Unconnect stereo with a Pioneer DVD headunit. It did work, however, the instructions provided by Idatalink only went up to 2017 models. This may have been rectified since my purchase. 2018 Rams changed the wiring slightly (but turned out to be very important changes to know) and had to kind of figure it out ourselves after reading everything thoroughly and looking at everything we had purchased. If you have a 2017 or earlier model Ram, the instructions are spot on, I would imagine. Any other model of Chrysler or Jeep, I can't really help you with.

Q
Does this product utilize steering wheel phone controls?
james j  Mar 16, 2018
1 answer
A
The ability to retain steering wheel controls with aftermarket receivers will be determined by the receiver you are using and the vehicle you have. For full information on this type of integration (including the parts you will need) please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

Q
Are all 52 wires included in the connector?
robert  Jul 20, 2017
1 answer
A
The iDatalink HRN-RR-CH3 offers the 52 pin plug for connection to the stock plug in compatible vehicles, yes. Keep in mind; the HRN-RR-CH3 cannot be used by itself; it needs to be paired with the iDatalink ADS-MRR integration module: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_794ADSMRR/item.html and a compatible aftermarket stereo.
