About the Rockford Fosgate RFK10i

Buck Pomerantz

This wiring kit does not include speaker wire, so you'll need to purchase that separately to complete your amp installation. This kit includes patch cables for a 2-channel or mono amp — you'll need to add cables for multi-channel amps.

Your amp needs big power wires in order to deliver top performance to your sound system. Rockford Fosgate's RFK10i amplifier power and signal wiring kit supplies everything you'll need to send power and input signals to amplifiers with fuse ratings of up to 25 amperes. Rockford Fosgate makes the 10-gauge cable from 100% pure crystal-oxygen free copper wire so you can count on maximum power transfer.

What matters is that they match on the head unit and amp - if you connect the black cable to the red output on the head unit, make sure it is connected to the red input on the amp.

It doesn't matter which you use as long as it's the same on both sides. So if you use black for right channel on headunit, then use black for right channel on amp as well.

Q
I am purchasing this kit for the Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4 amp. The amp recommends this wiring kit but with a 30a fuse rating. Since this kit comes with a 25a fuse... is it ok to install a 30a fuse instead of the 25a?

Q
Can I run the battery power cable tight up against the underside of my car to the trunk area? Or, does it have to be run in the interior?

A
Yea, I was hoping it was weather resistant / proof
rob  Mar 16, 2014
A
I'd keep it inside the interior so it's not exposed to water and short out. It's a bit more work, but you'll have piece of mind. Good luck!
