Solid premium earbuds
Robert from Langhorne, PA on 4/24/2025
I'm replacing the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 with these earbuds due to a damage claim on the Sennheiser's. They are around the same price so I feel like its a fair comparison. The Denon's took a little while to get a good fit but once I did I feel like they are comfortable and fairly secure at work and during a workout. The Denon's were very easy to setup, the app is simple if just a little dated feeling but it includes all you need. The one thing I miss about the Sennheiser's was the sound quality, if they are a 10 (the best earbuds I've heard) the Denon's are a solid 8. My one major issue with the Sennheiser's was the terrible fit and connection problems with my Pixel phone. I must say the Denon's have had zero connection issues so overall I will gladly sacrifice a little sound quality for earbuds I know ill always connect and fit securely,
Pros: Easy set up, stable connection
Cons: Fit is a little hard to get right, case feels a little cheap

Not for me.
James from Williamstown, NJ on 4/15/2025
Gave them to my son-in-law. I couldn't exactly figure them out. Not the fault of the air buds. I wish they came with more documentation. Something that you could refer to as a glance.

Good options
Michael from BOWLING GREEN, KY on 3/31/2025
Takes some trials with tips. Which are slightly difficult to apply because the driver shape is oval instead of circular. They sound much better if you can get them to hold inside your canal. I ended up using tips I had from another set of buds rather than ones Denon provided. Mostly I like the app in which you can custom how many taps do what. For example one tap to play/pause etc. And I enjoy their sound more without the app connected.
Pros: Custom controls in app
Cons: Transparency mode seems useless. It's too much of all sounds (garbled) even with slider/fader. Noise canceling is fine off or on.

Great product
Glenn from Elkton, MD on 2/17/2025
They're well made and sound great. I would recommend any denon product. At this price point they sound as good or better than earbuds selling twice as much.
Pros: Great sounding
Cons: None

Combined with the Denon app, these are the best headphones I've had in a while. Better than my Bose on ear $300 and my Sony in ear $300 pair. Bass specifically is great!

Really like these Denon Pros
Howard from Palos Heights, IL on 2/1/2025
It took me lots of time to decide away from my plug-in brand , Sennheisers. Yet, I chose the Denon based on the sound a compact Denon stereo system. The Denon Pro ear buds set up was fairly easy. I used the buds as they came in the box. Since, I've tried other wings and ear pieces combinations. What I know is the transmission of bass sound has not been transmitted without placing my hand to the bud. I love the rest of the sound, the spatial capability, the comfort and ability to stay in my ears. The thing that makes me most angry is my inability to listen to multiple devices before rolling the purchase to completion. That is how I came upon all my former high end audio purchases. DAMN COVID

Great earbuds. Glad I tried the Denon's
Darryl from Brownington, VT on 1/18/2025
These are by far the best sounding earbuds I've tried. While I haven't tried every brand, they definitely have an edge in clarity and bass response over the Bose, Sony, B&W, Galaxy and Pixel Buds that I have owned. The quality of the materials is definitely a step above the rest as most earbuds I've had to return because of irritation from the plastic that the buds are made out of and/or the foam earbud tips. They also fit me ears very well and the sound customization makes a startling difference in the tonal and spatial response of the buds. Outside of the Sony WF1000-M5's, the spatial audio is actually good sounding. Bluetooth connection is very solid and connects immediately after removing them from the case. Call quality is clear and the noise reduction is almost too isolating. The ambient mode sits in a nice sweet spot, perfect for my taste anyway. I am very happy with these buds and will definitely NOT be returning them.
Pros: Fantastic sound and customization through the app. Responsive controls and robust Bluetooth connection. Many ways to customize the fit for my finicky ear shape.
Cons: Might be a little large for some people, Noise cancelling can be a little too much in some situations.

Great sound
Crutchfield customer from Gresham, OR on 1/13/2025
Pleasantly surprised with the above average quality of sound. Better than my LG Harmon Kardens. Way better than my AirPod pros. They are a bit bulkier and can't seem to get a solid seal on my right ear but it's not a deal breaker yet. Still testing.

Well worth the $
Jordan from MINNEAPOLIS, MN on 10/11/2024
For the same price had the Sennheiser momentum 4. These are much better. A bit bigger yet the fit is better. The case is more slick and charging lights show when case battery is charged and a light for each ear bud. The sound is very impressive. Overall a comfortable feel and great sound.

Great When They Worked
Adam P from PORTLAND, OR on 10/7/2024
They were great when they worked but one bud died after 80 days, which seems to be known online when you look at some reviews and message boards. Denon support was quick to tell me to charge them for 24 hours, which didn't work, but now they are stalling with resolving the issue by saying that they will reach out in a day or two anytime I contact them. I have unusable headphones, just after the return period. This isn't the customer support or quality I expect at this price level and I can't support a decent review as a result.

The left one fits very securely, the right one doesn't fit as well. The sound is excellent- clear and loud. Overall, they are the best earbuds I've ever had, but they should be for the price.
Pros: Great sound, loud volume

Amazing sound.
Marc from Vista, CA on 6/24/2024
Simply amazing sound. I am not the type to usually download lots of apps, but in this case, it is worth it to download the app and spend 5 minutes setting these up properly. I have no idea how the Masimo sound personalization works, but it does. Like magic. After personalizing the earbuds for my ears, these deliver the best sound I've ever heard from earbuds. Quite frankly, better than several high end over the head earphones I've used as well.
Pros: Best sound I've ever heard in earbuds, by far.
Cons: Need to set them up in an app for best sound.

Best overall buds for the price
Jesse from Jessup, PA on 6/11/2024
These are the best overall true wireless buds in my opinion. They have the best connection over Xm5 and Momentum 4. I have not had a single loss of connection at all while working out, running or casual use. Both other brands had several brief disconnections within the first hour. Sound clarity is better than the XM5 but not quite as good as momentum 4 but close enough. Bass is powerful and better than the other two IMO, if set correctly. Getting them out of the case can be tricky at first, but you need to just use your index finger on the upper outer corner of each bud. They look bulky but they fit and feel great. No need to readjust like I felt I had to with other buds once in a while. Follow the directions for an easy secure fit. Put them in and twist. Denon should read across the ear when they are on. App is great but not as good as momentum 4 or XM5s. Connection is my number 1 priority then sound clarity and bass. For this reason, I easily choose these buds over the other top buds I tested. If you are looking for best sound then the momentum 4 is the way to go but these are not far inferior from them. Barely noticeable. 1. Denon Pro Perlu followed by momentum 4 and then XM5.
Pros: Connection, sound, bass, fit, comfort
Cons: None

New earbuds
Sara from New York, NY on 4/18/2024
They're a bit bigger than I expected, and a little flashy, for me. The sound and setup is great though! The earbuds are a little difficult to replace, and actually I flung one into oblivion (never to be found again!) in the process of finding a good fit.
Pros: Sound quality and adjustments.
Cons: Finding the right fit.

Exceptional Sound Quality
Craig from Olathe, KS on 1/12/2024
I love these new buds. They have exceptional sound quality. I do own a pair of Bose noise cancelling earbuds and the Denon buds are definitely a step up in sound quality. The pairing and setup of the earbuds was very easy and very quick. I found the right fit easily as well. I did wear them to the gym and had no problem with and had no problem with them staying in my ear. I will say the only negative is that the noise cancelling is not as good as the Bose, but the sound quality more than made up for it. I will have music on anyway and can't hear anything while my music is playing.

The best I've experienced.
Ronald from Pittsburgh, PA on 10/8/2023
I have not had good luck, in general, with earbuds. I had never found a set that fit securely and comfortably, that also sound great. These Denons are the exception to this. they fit securely, are comfortable over long periods (including overnight), and sound great. The noise cancelling is superb, and the battery life is the best I've experienced, at 8 hours per charge. Highly recommended.
Pros: Secure, comfortable fit, great sound, outstanding noise cancelling, and long battery life.
Cons: These are a bit pricier than some competitors.
