Overview: The ARRIS SURFboard® SB8200 Cable Modem is ideal for "Gigabit" home networks with cable internet plans up to 1 Gbps. The modem is compatible with dozens of broadband cable service providers, including Cox, Spectrum, and Xfinity. This DOCSIS 3.1-certified device provides up to 1 Gbps wired speeds from either of its two 1-Gigabit Ethernet Ports for faster video streaming, gaming, and downloading. Owning your cable modem instead of renting it can save you up to $180 per year (depending on your cable internet provider's rental fees). The SURFboard SB8200 comes with a two-year warranty.
DOCSIS 3.1: The cable modem is certified DOCSIS 3.1 by DOCSIS CableLabs, and is backwards compatible with DOCSIS 3.0. It features 32 Download and 8 Upload streams (DOCSIS 3.0), plus 2 x 2 DOCSIS 3.1 channels. With DOCSIS 3.1-capable service, your speeds can reach up to 1 Gbps. The front panel LED icons indicate whether the downstream and upstream connections are DOCSIS 3.0 (Green) or 3.1 (Blue) modes.

Coaxial Cable Connector: The SB8200 has a female coaxial (F-type) cable connector for connecting the coax cable from your Internet Provider.
Ethernet Ports: The SURFboard SB8200 is equipped with two RJ-45 1 Gbps Ethernet ports for directly connecting your computer or a router. The LEDs indicate the connection speed: Green - 10/100/1000 (GigE) data connection made; Amber - 10/100 Mbps connection made.
Product Placement: The cable modem can be placed on a tabletop or wall-mounted. There are four keyhole slots on one side of the device for hanging it vertically or horizontally on a wall with two screws.
Web Manager: The Web Manager desktop app can be used to view and monitor the SB8200's operational status and network configuration settings. It can also be used to reset or reboot the cable modem.
SURFboard Central: The SURFboard Central mobile app (iOS 13.0+, Android 7.0+) lets you configure and manage your SURFboard cable modem from your smartphone. It also provides step-by-step installation instructions and activation by your Cable Internet Service Provider.
