About the MB Quart NA3-1000.5

For music on the go
For music on the go
Whether cruising through waves, sand, or mud — you want to hear your tunes clearly over the noise of having fun. MB Quart's NA3-1000.5 marine amplifier can send four speakers 75 watts each and a subwoofer up to 400 watts, which'll keep the music rockin' no matter where you are. This rugged and compact amplifier utilizes a number of technologies that ensure normal operation no matter what the conditions are — like over/under voltage protection, thermal slow-down (not shut-down), and current limiting on the outputs to protect speakers.
Versatile amp
You can configure this amplifier as a 3-channel amp and send 300 watts each to a pair of high-performance tower speakers, for example, plus 400 watts to a sub. The onboard variable tone controls let you tailor the sound to match your particular speakers and subs. A wired remote lets you control the bass level from the helm.
Marine-tough
Three decades of marine and powersports audio expertise goes into making each MB Quart marine amplifier. Conformal coating protects the internal circuits from water and dirt, while stainless steel hardware resists corrosion in even the saltiest environments. MB Quart designed and tested this amp to stand up to the toughest conditions on the water and off the beaten path.

Features
Overview: The NA3-1000.5 5-channel amplifier is effectively two full range 2-channel amps and a subwoofer amp built into one chassis. Each pair of full range channels (labeled channels 1/2 and 3/4) is independently bridgeable, so the amp can be wired as 5-channel, 4-channel, or 3-channel.
Power Output:
- Full Range Channels:
- 4Ω: 75 watts x 4
- 2Ω: 150 watts x 4
- Bridged: 300 watts x 2 (into 4Ω)
- Subwoofer Channel:
- 4Ω: 100 watts x 1
- 2Ω: 200 watts x 1
- 1Ω: 400 watts x 1 (only the subwoofer channel is 1Ω stable)
Control Panel: The control panel is protected by a cover to help keep the controls dry, and to prevent unwanted adjustments. The cover screws are removed with the included 2.5 mm Allen wrench. The rotary controls and recessed slide switches require the use of a narrow flat blade screwdriver (not included) to make adjustments. Each section of the amplifier has independent gain and crossover controls.
- Input Mode: 3-position switch; 2-channel (all five output channels fed using just the channel 1/2 inputs), 4-channel (discrete inputs for channels 1/2 and 3/4, subwoofer channel fed by the sum of those four), 5-channel (discrete inputs used for all five output channels)
- Turn-on Mode: 2-position switch; Remote (turns on when triggered by +12 volts DC on the blue wire), DC Sense (turns on/off with the presence of a speaker level input)
- Gain: rotary controls; variable from 200mV to 9V
- Crossover:
- Full Range Channels:
- X-Over: 2-position switches; select high-pass or full-range
- Frequency: rotary controls; variable from 50 Hz to 250 Hz
- Subwoofer Channel:
- Frequency: rotary control; variable from 50 Hz to 250 Hz
- Subsonic Filter: 2-position switch; select 25 Hz or off
- Full Range Channels:
- Bass EQ: rotary control; subwoofer channel only; variable from 0 to +12 dB
Connections:
- Speaker Outputs: 10" ten wire harness; plugs into 6" pigtail attached to the amp; 18-gauge wire
- Power: 10" three wire harness;
plugs into 6" pigtail attached to the amp
- +12 Volts: 10-gauge red wire
- Ground: 10-gauge black wire
- Turn-on: 18-gauge blue wire
- RCA Inputs: three pair of stereo RCA inputs, each on the end of a 16" pigtail attached to the amp; compatible with preamp level and speaker level signals (speaker wire to RCA adapter required when using speaker level inputs)
- Remote: harness on the end of a 16" pigtail; for use with the included wired remote
Wired Remote: A remote level controller is included that allows you to control the output level of the subwoofer amp from the cockpit or driver's seat. A 16' remote cable is included.
