Product Research

Features

Overview: The Sanus Cable Concealer In-Wall Low Voltage Kit (CCSIWLVK) helps you to hide unsightly signal cables from below your wall-mounted TV. The kit lets you route your in-wall rated low-voltage cables such as HDMI, coax, and audio cables, out of sight inside the wall. The Cable Concealer Kit requires a standard 2x4 framed wall depth (3") or greater with minimum 1/2" thick drywall. The kit includes two PVC and rubber grommets and a 3" hole saw with a 1/4" bit. The grommets are paintable to match your decor. Dimensions: Diameter 3.725", Depth 1.368".

Tools Required: The following tools are required for installing the In-Wall Cable Concealer:

  • tape measure
  • pencil
  • electric drill
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • paint

Installation Steps: Installing the In-Wall Cable Concealer Kit requires the following steps:

  1. Cut Holes: Using the included 3" hole saw and driver bit, cut the upper hole so that it is concealed behind your TV. The lower hole should be cut in the same wall cavity directly below the upper hole, hidden behind your entertainment cabinet. You should verify your cable lengths before cutting.
  2. Insert Grommets: The grommets should slide into the 3" cut holes in the wall. The grommets should be inserted with the Sanus logo at the bottom.
  3. Secure Grommets: Each grommet is equipped with two "wings" that secure it against the drywall. The wings tighten by turning the Phillips-head screws.
  4. Route Cables: Insert the HDMI and other low-voltage cables through the upper hole and route them in the wall cavity toward the lower hole using a fish tape. Any HDMI or other signal cables in the wall should exit through the slits in the gasket on the grommet. Walls with blown-in type insulation may require removal of some of the insulation inside the cavity.
  5. Connect Cables: The HDMI or other signal cables can then be plugged into the TV at the top and into the receiver or video components at the bottom.
