We bought this in case we needed it-we did! It helps the television be at the correct height, it wasn't difficult to assemble and slipping the television on the stand was simple.

Used to mount a LG G4 77". A stand mount wasn't included with the 77 & 83"( wall only ) so I needed an aftermarket stand mount for my preferred setup. After reading reviews across the board I settled on the Sanus VSTV2 for stability and the +/-35 degrees of x-axis articulation. It has met all of my expectations and I am very happy with it and my new home theater setup. Note: Purchased this from open stock at a discount from the then listed new price. All parts were included (some in zip lock baggies instead of factory sealed) and I could only detect a small scratch on the base as the only defect. 1 week after I received it the item went on sale for a price equal to what I paid for open stock. Isallgood!
Pros: stable adjustable viewing angle
Cons: wire chase threading difficult so I didn't use it as my view of the wires are blocked by the center channel speaker

It is a really sturdy stand that does the job. The swivel works great as well. Disclaimer for those with modern Samsung TV's. You will need to put stand on its lowest position due to the low Vesa points on the TV's.

Excellent Sanus TV Stand
Charles from New York, NY on 12/14/2024
Very high quality console TV stand made entirely of steel. Base alone weighs just under 15 pounds. Included instructions are straightforward. Would highly recommend to anyone who doesn't want to wall mount or feels that the tv's duck feet look lousy. Way to go Sanus.
Pros: High quality All steel construction Reasonable Price

My latest TV , 77", Was too big for my entertainment center. By placing this TV stand over my entertainment center, not only solve that problem but also left me enough room for my center channel. Very pleased and highly recommended.

**"Rock-Solid TV Mount That Delivers
Mark from Clio, MI on 8/28/2024
I recently bought the Sanus VSTV2 to mount my expensive LG G4 77 OLED TV, and I'm genuinely impressed. The build quality is top-notch, giving me confidence that my TV is secure. Installation was simple, with all the parts included and clear instructions. What I love most is the ease of adjustment. It's smooth to find the perfect viewing angle, and the design is sleek, so it doesn't take away from the room's look. The tilt mechanism is a bit stiff, but once it's set, it stays exactly where you want it. If you're looking for a reliable, well-built mount for your high-end TV, the Sanus VSTV2 is a great option. It's sturdy, looks good, and gets the job done without any fuss.

Too little vertical height adjustment
Rob from Cary, NC on 8/15/2024
Good stand if you don't need much vertical height adjustment or downward tilt. Tried to use this with my Sony MASTER Series BRAVIA XR55A95L TV and could not lower it enough to get a small gap above a BRAVIA Theater 8 sound bar. Called Customer Support and they recommended the Kanto TTS100. Returned it for a Kanto TTS100 which has infinite height adjust and downward tilt.
Pros: Heavy Well constructed
Cons: Too little vertical height adjustment No downward tilt

Great for adding a center channel under my OLED!
Neville from Saint Louis, MO on 6/9/2024
Used on my 65 inch OLED to better fit a center channel under the screen. My TV is in an area where a wall mount is undesirable, so this was the perfect solution. Feels well made, looks good, and I'm happy with the purchase. My one note: it seems the VESA mounting points are MUCH lower on my particular OLED than described on installation instructions, which results in a super high TV. I had to adjust how it was mounted to the back of the TV to compensate, and made the mounting bracket taller than the cross supports. So far, seems strong and stable, just thought it worth sharing.
Pros: Affordable and does the job
Cons: Mounting installation was confusing due to low VESA points on my TV

A very secure mount
Edward from Rapid City, SD on 5/29/2024
This is the perfect stand for mounting your flat panel if you don't want to wall mount. It is a little more money than some of the other options I saw, but this stand has serious quality and heft! Very easy to set up. I mounted a Sony X90L 55" on it for my bedroom (supports up to 135lbs and up to an 85" tv), could not have been easier. Very sturdy, nice 35 degree swivel, and nicely marked hardware included with a variety of bolts to match pretty much any TV mounting requirements ... not much more I can say about it ... well worth the money and a very secure mount! Highly recommended.
Pros: Quality parts, very sturdy and secure mount, easy assembly and an even easy way to mount your flat panel.
Cons: None

I should have shopped around more
Julie from Washington, DC on 1/2/2024
This stand is overkill for most TVs except for the very largest. The product description says it fits tvs that are 40 - 88" but it's just too too too much for my little 43" tv. (The lower edge of my TV sits 8 inches above the base when mounted on the lowest height setting. #tvtoohigh ) Plus, it's an ugly/unsophisticated design reminiscent of a prototype. It's functional but has no finesse or style.
Pros: Great for a very large tv
Cons: very heavy and clunky. no elegance.

Sanus VSTV2
Carlo from Allison Park, PA on 11/27/2023
Very strong very well made but needs more vertical adjustment. I have a 65 inch TV. I should be able to lower the TV so that it is just above the base, but this stand in its lowest position holds the bottom of the TV 8" above the base. Also the base is very wide and deep, the with is no problem but the depth forces you to push the TV back to avoid overhanging my cabinet base. Can be a problem if you are trying to position the TV in the corner of the room
Pros: Very strong
Cons: Needs more adjustability

Curtis from Etowah, NC on 10/31/2023
Easy to put together and well made. Heavy will hold large size TV's well. Some adjustments settings are not the best and could be improved upon other than that well made.
Pros: Well made Holds big TV's
Cons: Angle adjustment screws not the best

The VSTV2 review
Daniel from Tripp, SD on 10/14/2023
Solid. Quality. Weighty (which is a positive in this context). The setup was fairly logical and intuitive, though the instructions were written in a typical "who knows little English for to write" manner. I thought stands and mounts were superfluous and not a good investment of $$$, but thankfully, this proved me wrong.
Pros: Weight. Ease of setup. Quality materials and build.

Wish my cabinet doors could closed
Gary from El Dorado Hills, CA on 2/9/2023
I was really impressed with the packing, the instructions, and the quality of this stand. It really exceeded my expectations. I put it together and mounted the TV without any issues. The only problem was that since I was mounting only a 42 inch TV to it, the big stand was too big in my cabinet to let me push it in and close the doors. This was my oversight since the dimensions were given to me before I ordered. I have another stand on order from Crutchfield and will be returning this one only because it is not optimal for my set-up. It is a shame since I liked it so much!

Great solution for those with larger center channel speakers.
Adam from Syracuse, NY on 2/8/2023
Had been looking for a while to find a solution to place my Klipsch RP 450c under tv. My entertainment center didn't have a shelf tall enough for it. This stand fit the bill. Large and heavy base ensures a stable platform for my Sony 65" OLED. Installation was easy. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Pros: Easy instructions, easy installation and enough heft to handle larger tv's without issue.
Cons: none

TV Mounting Position
Robert from Hershey, PA on 12/12/2022
The Sanus VSTV2 is well constructed and assembly is very simple. I am returning the item because the mounting points on the TV are below center so the TV can not be mounted close to the base plate which is what we are looking for.
Pros: The build quality is excellent. Easy setup and mounting of the TV.
Cons: This stand is not for you if you are looking to mount your TV low and your TV has a lower than center mounting point.
