2010 Nissan GT-R
This is one of the best head units I've seen for the price. I would expect to pay twice this price tag for the quality and features of this unit. It's easy to use and very intuitive. CarPlay is fast and flawless. Installation in my girlfriend's 2017 Subaru Forrester was easy except for the two lower bolts that require removing the glove box and a driver's side panel. Took a long extension and socket wrench to get them out. The replacement mount was easier as it was a Philips head screw which was easier to reinstall with a long magnetic screwdriver. I would not have wanted to reinstall the factory bolts. The steering wheel interface and the mounting kit are excellent. This is a huge improvement over the factory head unit which is total junk.

It looks good and enticing but DO NOT BE FOOLED. I have had nothing but issued with this stereo. I had another Dual that was similar and it worked decent but this model does not do what it says. Android Auto shuts off every few minutes and you have to reset the stereo each time and unplug the USB. So basically you have no stereo because it's too dangerous to do all that on the road. Save your money for a better quality unit, this is a waste of time!

Cons: Android Auto shuts down every 3-5 minutes. Reverse camera takes a few seconds to turn on. Constantly have to press the restart button to get it to work. The SWC compatibility does not work at all, even with the expensive interface harness.

Does the things I want and is user-friendly. Installation was straightforward and this is my first time doing this. So far operation is basic. It's only been a couple of days but so far it works as described and as I needed. Please trust Crutchfield and its recommendations. After much research, I made my selection and added the website suggestions. The cost was reasonable and it gave me the features I wanted. The only item lacking is that the mic is wired. My previous system had a wireless mic which didn't tie into this. I wasn't willing to double the price of the unit to have a wireless one.
Pros: Simple Good price point Easy install with Crutxhfields harnes Clear display Easy operations.
Cons: The mic is wired.

I think it's awesome! Better than I expected. I wanted something with a decent menu system. This was not my brand of choice, but after reading the positive reviews, then watching some YouTube video on how nice the menu system is, I gave the Dual a chance. I'm truly happy I did. I paired this unit with Rockford Fosgate component speakers (From Crutchfield) and added a small powered sub. It sounds great and works terrific for my needs. I mainly use Apple CarPlay for music and navigation. This works perfect. I chatted with Crutchfield a few times before I made the purchase. I also bought the wiring harness that Crutchfield provides. I couldn't be happier. I hope I continue to love this unit.
Pros: Great menu system. Screen quality is nice. Sound is really good. Build quality is on part with higher priced brands. Apple CarPlay works great!
Cons: Can't think of any at this price point. Even if it costs more, I can't think of any real cons.

You can't beat the price, when you compare it to similar heads from different manufactures, the specs are almost the same. Easy to navigate the screen, plenty of power to feed to 4 speakers in a Crown Vic. Nice display, clear image on back up camera.

I'll give this a solid 4 star. It worked just as good as my old kenwood and pioneer head units. I have only 1 complaint that are pretty subjective. It's at night I noticed the buttons on the side do not illuminate. Not a big deal.

The Dual receiver was fine, but the install in my Nissan Sentra was not good. It wasn't clear to me that the factory backup camera could not be connected and the steering wheel control setup was a nightmare. Finally got some workable instructions from Axxsess after getting no help from Crutchfield. No radio antenna was included or suggested. I had to buy a separate backup camera and antenna. I would not buy this setup if I had to do it again.

This unit works great. Small complaint is that I have to increase the volume every time I switch inputs or start the truck. No big deal, but annoying when my phone rings and I have to turn the volume up to hear the call. Other than that it does what it says and does it very well.

I've had this head unit installed for about 3 weeks now it's been amazing! For the price you can't beat it the screen is really responsive. Screen resolution isn't the best and the brightness isn't great in daylight. The head unit made my audio sound way better than factory. I also got the pre wiring and it was really plug and play.I was also able to use steering wheel controls and backup camera

2009 Honda Ridgeline
I found this to be one of the most challenging installs I have done in some time. The directions were OK, but the wire harness that my DUAL Factory unit came with was faulty and caused me to have to return this item. There are not good directions on how to hook up a back-up camera in the kit. Also you will need to connect the blue wire from the antenna to the power wire on the head unit, also not explained. The Steering wheel controls pins were not clear to follow and also they did not tell the whole story of how to connect them. I got some wrong information one time with tech support, but the next guy was spot on. Kudos to the tech team otherwise, they got me thru this. First time I have had to call since the 90's. As for the unit itself, it is OK, it does not have the power I was expecting. I changed all of the speakers over to 6.5" Pioneers and kept my factory Subwoofer, which was another challenge as this was my first ever amp installation. The sound is just kind of MEH. The Car play and Bluetooth work very well and that was really all I needed in the first place, I just decided to refresh the car to a whole new level. I still love Crutchfield, but maybe I should have spent a lot more money on the head unit.

Overall it is a good unit, just lacks the power to push my factory speakers evenly. My factory head unit and speakers are Pioneer. Occasionally the Bluetooth struggles to connect. Lastly, sometimes the touchscreen requires me to tap several times before responding to my command. The hands free calling works very good. As I originally stated, it is a good unit overall especially at the price point.
Pros: Touch screen, handsfree calling, look and features.
Cons: lacked the power to push my factory speakers as well as my original factory radio, touch screen sluggish, Bluetooth delayed connecting.

This is an excellent radio if you're looking to completely re-invent your car! I have a 2011 VW and the factory radio recently died. With this new radio, it feels like a completely new car! I particularly like the Bluetooth mobile calling and CarPlay to listen to music hands free. Additionally, Axel from customer support went above and beyond to help me with the installation. While aspects of it are straight forward, there were some questions I had about the installation. Axel was polite and patient to help me see it through to the end. Crutchfield is with no doubt the way to go to help you buy and install your new radio!

This unit is great, the screen is responsive, and the sound is great after some fiddling (out of the box it had way too much bass, but the detailed equalizer enabled me to hone on to the sound I like) I don't get the point of a remote control when I can do almost everything from the steering wheel. Apple CarPlay connects every time as soon as I plug in the phone. Radio is crisp and easy to use I would recommend this in a heartbeat

I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit and for the money I don't think you can go wrong for a entry level Apple CarPlay unit. I have had the unit in for a few weeks and it's been working great! Bluetooth microphone has good clarity and the unit has quite a array of features to pick from. Love the EQ amd how you can adjust all the frequencies. Buy it you won't regret it!

This is better than I expected. The OS is smooth and quite simple. It does lack some customization, but that is to be expected. The internal amp is a bit weak, so I would definitely suggest a external amp. For this price range, this simply cannot be beat.

Eh. It's cheap. The apple carplay stopped working minutes after it was installed. Even after trying TWO different iPhones. Bluetooth connectivity is fine, though. The system relies on carplay/android auto for the bells and whistles (navigation, most audio, etc.), so without them, the unit is just your standard bluetooth/FM receiver. A bit overpriced considering its lack of functionality on its own. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a quality radio that will work with your devices.
Pros: Big display with Apple carplay/Android auto compatibility (if/when it actually works)
Cons: Apple carplay/android auto outs extremely faulty and only accessible through wired connection. Seriously lacking in built-in functions.

Works. Limited controls when using Android Auto. Installed in a 1008 Honda Fit. Got the wiring harness done by Critchfield. This made installation easier. Added a backup camera to the unit which works with no issues CURRENT ISSUE: The radio does not ring when there is an incoming call. It will pause the radio or media, but other than the displayed message, there is no audible notification. I have reviewed the manual and also checked the settings in the radio menu...there is not an option to adjust the ringer volume. If I had to do over, I would not get this system

This is an awesome stereo! Bluetooth is great as is the car play. The touch screen sometimes needs a little firmer presses than my stock ford / sony unit in my car but this works and fits perfect in my navigator. The only negative 2 things I can say is the SETTINGS menu times out too fast and goes back to home. The 2nd thing is the stupid blue power button is BLINDING at night time!

Dual DMCPA70 is such a great upgrade to my 2002 Toyota Camry XLE. Mr. Shields from tech support was very helpful with installation. I had purchased the ready harness which is totally worth it making installation a LOT easier like a plug-n-play. Apple Carplay is seamless. The touch screen is very responsive, allowing for easy access to Spotify, Google maps, phone etc. The stereo sound is crystal clear with several options to adjust using equalizer. I hooked up a BOYO rear camera, also purchased from Crutchfield, to the unit and it clearly shows view when backing up the car. Thanks to Grant who helped select this stereo unit and camera during sales.

Had 2 other stereos prior, Boss and Pioneer. Had horrible connection issues from day one. Installed the Dual and have had no issues at all. Best feature I didn't have from the others is the remote. This stereo is faster reacting than the other 2. Sound quality is warm and clear. The others were tinny and not warm. I also run a sub amp and a 4 channel for the door speakers and I still couldn't get the sound right. I hope this one holds up for the long haul. So far I would recommend it.

i bought this radio and spent the time putting it in only to have no luck with the maestro rr working. serveral call to crutchfield and one to idatalink finally found a program option that kinda worked. everyone at crutchfield told me they hadn't heard of any issues yet here i see some reviews with the same issues and same result, crutchfield helping to find a replacement radio: Dual Radio NOT compatible with Maestro Blake from Three Rivers on 8/2/2022 2008 Honda Civic EX anyway skip this radio, buy another and yes crutchfield has heard of the issue, idatalink says they don't officially support this radio, if you want swc this is not the radio you are looking for. for my car the chassis of the radio did not match with the dash kit to allow the radio to sit high enough in the opening to close the dash. all around this radio was nothing but a headache.

I upgraded my deck to a touch screen with Bluetooth and android auto and this headunit had been great. Very user friendly. Screen is not overly sensitive, but you don't have to bang on it to work. This is one of the best bang for your buck decks I have used to date and I have used quite a number of them. This deck improved the sound quality of my stereo over my Kenwood. Excellent product so far.

So far I'm loving this upgrade over the factory HU. The screen is responsive, it "boots up" quickly and the volume is plenty for my needs. I'm waiting on an adapter so I can install my backup camera; I have to take a 2.5mm jack in to the female RCA. Hopefully once that's done I'll get the full experience. For now though, this has breathed new life into my 2005 Subaru Outback! Install wasn't too bad. I didn't unhook the AC cable because I just couldn't get to it; but I was able to work the left side of the HU out far enough to get the screws out. Getting the pre-wired harness was an absolute must, I can't even imagine doing it myself! Thanks Crutchfield!
Pros: Great interface. Pre-wired harness is awesomeness. Plenty of volume for non-audiophiles.
Cons: Maybe include a 2.5mm input for those upgrading from previously installed stand alone backup cameras, or include the adapters to do that.

Dual Radio NOT compatible with Maestro

I purchased this in conjunction with the Maestro RR module, per the direction of Crutchfield's vehicle fitment tool, so that I could retain the steering wheel controls in my 2008 Honda Civic. The radio itself appears to be ok - I've used it for about 3 weeks, however it is NOT compatible with the Maestro unit. No matter how many times I re-flashed the unit, using different configurations each time per the direction of Crutchfield's technical support team, I could not make them work well together. A quick internet search shows that other people have had similar issues, and that the Dual works best paired with a PAC audio or Metra steering wheel interface unit. I returned the Dual in favor of a (much more expensive) Pioneer in hopes that I can get my controls to work again. This isn't so much the fault of the radio as it is Crutchfield's goof, however they were helpful in assisting me try to track down the issue (including sending me a replacement), and get me in to a new radio.

After my stock radio died in my 2007 Dodge Ram, I wanted to upgrade to an Android Auto compatible HU. This definitely fit the bill. The radio sounds so much better than stock and the Android Auto works great. In general, the user interface is very intuitive making setup a breeze. The install was a lot of work and I took my time with soldering and shrink tubing the wires to the adapter cable. I also added a back up camera. I used the dash kit from custom install parts. It was a lot of work, but worth the effort. My only disappointment is that there is no information on the radio (station, song title) - I assumed that would be standard but apparently, it's a premium feature. Nevertheless, I have music in my truck once again with bonus features.

This little guy is amazing! I wanted something budget friendly and relatively simple to upgrade my 2009 RAV4 and this fit the bill. There aren't toooo many bells and whistles but for the price I really feel like the value was there. I was able to connect the USB port to an aftermarket dongle that clips into my car and then into a wireless CarPlay dongle. There is a slight lag when booting up but it isn't even a big deal because that's basically the same time it takes me to get buckled and ready to drive.

Probably should warn you, I have never had a fancy radio, so this thing is crazy cool to play with. The Android auto works great, starts up within a few seconds of plugging my phone in, touch screen is great, and it fit great in my 05 Civic. Love all of the navigation, music, and media features and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I suppose the only thing left to test is the longevity of the device, well only time will tell. I will update this review if the radio ends up dying before the car haha, but I doubt it will.

2012 Ford Expedition
Great receiver and was easy to install.
Pros: Easy to navigate; responsive; love having the volume control buttons instead of relying solely on the screen. The receiver does exactly what I need.
Cons: The mute button is too bright of a blue at night. The left side of the screen is tough to see from the drivers seat as the edge sticks out a bit.

2015 Mazda 6
Great unit with no frills. Dual is made by Sony and more affordable. The CarPlay works as it should. The user interface is rudimentary but gets the job done. Has the ports you want for other accessories. The way it is built allows plenty of room behind it for The wires. Overall would recommend as this is my second time buying this one.

Cons: Rudimentary style
