Disappointing

Dam near impossible to screw the nut on the threaded part. The mounting bracket hole is too small the cap doesn't fit. Not a lot good to said for it.

Although you might find the price to be elevated, considering you can find very similar products on other sites, this is worth every penny. The build quality is excellent and installation in my particular vehicle was easy. I chose to permanently locate this in my cigarette port and the length of the cord made for very easy placement. This USB extender was VERY snug which, is ok in my eyes. I would much rather have it be to spec if not a little over than way to small and not fit in the port at all. The problem was fixed by sanding the port until the extender fit with little force. The cables are thick and feel very high quality. The female ports themselves had no bends and they were not out of alignment. These are also very tight, meaning when you plug something in, it definitely will not be wiggling out. Again, it is subjective but, it is a problem I would rather have than the alternative. The functionality of the product is also excellent. Both ends of the cord worked with no visible bends in the male end. Android Auto is working as it should with all my devices when plugged in. Data is being transferred and power is being delivered. 10/10 Again, there are other products that might be cheaper but after reading the reviews on this and all the others, I feel very confident in recommending this product.

Great product. Nice and snug plugs, long enough leads without being excessive (for my application at least) the bracket is nice but I ended up replacing a factory 12v cigarette lighter plug with this and worked perfectly

Perfect for Jeep install

Worked perfect to manage and connect two USB cables on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I did not need the triangular mounting block but used the insert and two threaded pieces to seat the USB connector into the round cutout that is molded on the outside of the left side of the glove box. I used a file to notch the threaded hex nut with the rounded edge for the back and used the second threaded hex nut flush to the back of the USB connector, then tightened it up an connected my cables to the new head unit. Perfect for aclean and accessible place for 2 USB plugs when needed.

I've now used these in both a 2004 Jeep TJ and 2015 Jeep JK. I installed in the lighter sockets, no drillling/filing required. The only issue is the supplied cover is worthless. I ended up using the rubber ring it's attached to and cut off the cover tab.

Super clean install

Honda Odysseys in the 99-2004 range have power plug at the bottom of the center console and I thought, this would be a great way to tap into the USB ports on the back of the radio I installed. The radio I chose had a wired Apple CarPlay cable and a regular USB cable. The only challenge to this is that the diameter of the plug is 1" while the factory plug is just slightly smaller. A little work with the drill and it fits like a factory plug. I am very pleased with the clean look this gives to the dash and I am happy to say that my phone charges on both cables. I did not have to use the supplied brackets, just the plug and one supplied jamnut.

Good, but the cap is junk

Works fine for my application. I did have to modify the radio housing for clearance on my Mustang. The only flaw I found is that cap, the plastic is brittle and it broke when I tried to fold it as you would to cover your USB ports.

Broke really fast.

Went in easy with my radio but right after the 60 day policy is up it won't even charge my phone now. I have an Android phone and it says my phones not compatible about half the time. It's not an old phone either and I've bought new cables to make sure it's not on my end. To replace this simple part will take an hour since I have to remove the entire radio. Save money and time and buy a better cable.

Great usb port.

This USB outlet pair worked perfectly in my dash. ( you do not have to use the bracket it comes with- as pictured) . I used a 1" diameter hole-saw to cut the hole in my dash panel ( while it was out of the truck). I did have to clean up the edges of the hole for the USB port to fit in, but it was not much. Only possible consideration I think others should be mindful of, is the length of the leads/cables, and if they have room to accommodate them. Because of the head unit I purchased, I had plenty of cable to get to the location on my dash, and I essentially had no need for the leads that come with this port. Fortunately, I have a truck with room behind the dash that I could nearly store/hide the extra cable.

Works for my needs, but it has quality issues

It works, but the product itself is very cheaply made. The USB ends were dented a bit and had to be reshaped to make the USB connections. The protective dust cover was too small and was a pain to try and install... the dust cap actually ended up breaking off. Fortunately, I don't plan on using the dust cover very often because I installed it in a hidden area and it will almost always have a cord in it. I intended to pull out the cigarette lighter and install it there, but that was more trouble than it was worth. So, on the 2006 Tacoma, there is a small tray to the right of the steering wheel that I almost never used so I installed it in the back of that tray, which is nice because the cables can be easily stored in the tray when not in use. Running the wires was easy and connected directly to the head unit (1 for charging and the other for CarPlay functionality). So, everything works, but it is not the prettiest of devices, so I'm glad it is hidden in my install.

It works but pain in the rear to install. First of all the size is a bit larger than 3/4 in spade so when you make a hole in the dashboard this thing does not exactly fit, so you have to make a hole bigger. Next the thread on this thing is poorly aligned it took me over an hour just to trying to tighten a security nut. After using lithium grease spray it finally went on. Factory QA in China is poor, so fit is very poor which makes installation very difficult

LOVE having dual usb in one spot. My truck has two cigarette lighter (power) ports right next to each other on the dash. My stereo has two remote USB ports. I was able to keep one of the lighters and use this for the stereo phone charger and Apple car play.

Maybe not super high quality, but for the price its great. Some of the molded plastic around the female USB ports impeded the male ends of my cords from easily plugging in and unplugging. After a little use, things seem to have loosened up and fit more easily. I needed this for my Boss car stereo that came equipped with female USB plug cables in the back of it for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. One of the plugs on this product is now what I plug in to charge and interface my Iphone with the stereo, and the other plug allows my girlfriend's Android phone to charge and interface with the stereo

Having 2 usb ports in on convenient place is great but after installing 2 of these in 2 different applications I'm less impressed. Getting the rubbery nut threaded and tight is more difficult than I thought. I may be stuck using this again but I might try to find a different option.

Overall, the Accele USBR2X is fairly easy to install, looks clean when installed, and most importantly works well, both for charging and for data transmission (in my case, connection for Android Auto). I like having two ports in the single outlet. As mentioned by others, the nut that goes on the back is too tight and can't be fully threaded on, at least by me, which is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. In my case that wound up not being an issue as the hole that I drilled in the panel was tight, so, even without the nut fully engaged, the outlet is stable. Of note, the instructions do not state what size hole to drill. When I called Crutchfield they looked it up and told me that technically it should be 1.1xx" (it was something slightly above 1.1"). So, I used a 1" spade drill bit and then wiggled it around, and (after a couple of tries and slight expansions) was able to push the outlet through. Also, I would have preferred a 3' cord for my particular installation, though clearly that's not a big deal, and would be a benefit if you are going to run this further back.

I used this in place of the factory cigarette lighter on my 2004 F-250. The fitment into the factory hole itself was great. However, there is not clearance behind to properly install the nut, so I had to glue it in. There is no fault in the product, I am just putting that info out there for other 99-04 owners. As far as the performance of the product, it works just as it should. The usb ports are VERY tight so you will not accidentally be pulling cords from this plug.

This was easy to install and looks great. It has plenty of cord length to install it wherever needed and multiple ways to install for different needs. The rubber nut that holds it to the dash is a little difficult to get tight but keep working at it. Once its tight, it won't come loose.

Perfect for the job!

Perfect for my Base model truck that did not have any USB ports. Drilled a hole on dashboard and installed to the back of my New Crutchfield Boss Radio. The ports have a look that matches the dashboard so no one will ever know that these ports are an aftermarket upgrade. They also have a rubberized plastic cover to protect the ports from dust which match the two other rubberized plastic covers the truck has covering the headphone jacks. The cords on these jacks are really long, but if you use zip ties you can install them with know problem. one of the jacks ia a Apple Play port. I didn't know what Apple Play was, but after hooking up my iPhone to the port, anything you do on your phone, you can do on your radio screen including navigation. I would highly recommend this product if you have room in your dashboard. (Installing Tip: When not using the supplied undermount bracket and mounting port module and are installing the module into your own pre-drilled dashboard hole, after tightening down the module installation nut, apply clear silicone caulk around the nut to the backside surface of the USB ports module.) This will keep the module from ever spinning in the dashboard.

Installed this in an existing cigarette lighter hole, however when I tried several different USB cables, none of them slid into either connector easily. Had to apply too much force to make a connection and then it required a needle nose pliers to remove. Crutchfield sent a second cable and it has the same problem. They are checking their supply to see if it is a bad batch.
