Handmade in France, the Elite K2 Power Series ES 165 KE component system is the culmination of Focal's passion for perfect sound. Focal's sound gurus engaged in intensive listening sessions designing this line of speakers so that you experience uncanny realism, sweeping dynamics, and breathtaking depth in your music.

A classic woofer with a twist

The 6-1/2" woofer uses Focal's classic "W" sandwich cone design for incredibly accurate audio reproduction. The nimble and rigid woofers, made with aramid fiber, lightweight foam, and fiberglass, demonstrate the control needed to play delicate classical passages. Yet, they'll handle the power needed to drive your bass-heavy tracks with authority. Focal adds a new Tuned Mass Damper (TMD®) butyl rubber surround which minimizes harmonic distortion for the cleanest midrange possible.

In addition to sweet-sounding tweeters and woofers, this system includes crossovers with settings to tweak your sound.

A responsive tweeter and adjustable crossover

The unique TKME aramid fiber tweeter employs an "M"-shaped inverted dome design that disperses the highs with remarkable precision, all the way up to 22,000 Hz. The K2 Power crossovers use hand-made components developed by Focal to deliver an ideal blend of the highs and lows for a dynamic stereo image. Three levels of tweeter control let you dial in the sound to your car's environment.

Size Classification Note: Some manufacturers, including Focal, call this size speaker a 6½. Because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6½ speaker, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size woofer as a 6¾. Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit in your vehicle.

Tweeter Mounting Options: The tweeters can be surface or flush mounted using the included adapters, or the trim rings can be removed and the protective washers added for mounting in a factory tweeter location. The included angled cup allows surface mounting at one of two angles; approximately 60° and approximately 40°.

Crossovers: The inputs and outputs are screw terminals; they will accept bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.315" wide. The high-pass crossover slope is 12 dB/octave and a switch allows you to set the low-pass slope to 6 dB/octave or 12 dB/octave; the crossover point for both is 3,000 Hz. A three position switch on each crossover allows you to adjust the output level of the tweeter to -3 dB, 0 dB, or +3 dB.
