Need a better mounting bracket

I have liked many products from JBL over the years and these speakers are very nice. Great imaging and full sound. I use them by my pool and I got them to update my Polk Audio Atrium 6 speaker that are several years old. Although they have a larger woofer than the Polk's, the bass did not blow me away. Also, D- on the mounts. They are flexible for aiming but they are terrible at tightening and holding a position. I am concerned that the plastic tightening collar will crack given the amount of pressure needed to hold the speaker in place

JBL Stage XD-6

I put these speakers outdoors to provide music to our pool area. The sound quality is fantastic and is plenty loud. They were easy to install.

Great picture

Excelente sonido, y calidad. Sugerencia el soporte que tiene no ayuda a la bocina a mantenerse en su posicion debido al peso de la misma. Si se genera presion uno puede romper la pieza. Deberia ser en metal este soporte o algo mas fuerte.

JBL Stage XD-6

I got tired to take my party speakers in and out, so decided to buy outdoor speakers. These speakers are awesome. They are very loud very clear crisp the bass sounds great. It actually feels like I'm at a concert. Worth the money considering the fact that you will enjoy the look and sound coming out of them.

Out in the heat

Great JBL sound! I'm sitting outside right now listening to Mayall and most pleased with look & sound. Mounting was a bit tricky.

Disappointed, expected more from JBL

All the audio was loud and clear, the bottom end range on the speakers just is not there. While these speakers are not ported, in comparison to Klipsh AW-650 these things didn't even come close. They're also relatively small speakers in their class.

Speakers great but mounting brackets aren't strong.

Installed 2 pair on the upper deck of a houseboat. Source is a car stereo receiver for now - will add amp asap. Pros: Look Great, sound great so far. They need more power than the 25w/ch car stereo deck that I have powering them, but have great sound. I plan on installing an amp and I'm sure they'll sound even better. Con: The mountain bracket requires a firm push to get the speaker ball into the socket of the mount. One of the four mounts broke during install. They are made of plastic and more brittle than I'd prefer. I understand the design as they can be mounted and rotated in any direction infinitely, but I'd prefer a metal mount on the outside with just an up/down adjustment capability. Crutchfield was great as always and was able to 2 day air a new mount, and I'm going to order a few extra as I plan on removing the speakers in the winter and am concerned other mounts will break over time.

JBL Stage XD-6

Good sound quality. Being used in a smallish area (225 sq ft) and they provide more than enough power/volume without distortion. Only con would be their size: height and width measurements are okay (about 8" x 10"), but they'd be better if they weren't quite so deep.

Great sound

I replaced my outdoor focal chorus with the JBL XD-6. I also have Revel M80XC which are beasts. Pushing them with a Cambridge CXA80. The sound is amazing!! I broke the JBL's in by hooking them up inside before the pool opened. Now that they're outdoors the sound is so wide open and clear. Crystal clear!! Between the highs and the lows the JBL's have enough to be your only pair. A great buy especially on sale. Crutchfield has always "delivered" with everything I've purchased. Never had an issue!!
