2023 Honda Ridgeline
Application: Rear doors of 2023 honda ridgeline RTL stock sound system. The stock speakers measured 3.2 Ohm ( I think thats what they were). In order to hear the rear stock speakers balanced with front the fade is set alot to the rear to balance it. The Pioneer speakers were similar setting on fade. Once pioneer speakers broke in a bit they seemed a bit louder and I adjusted the fade range more to the front still set to rear a good bit. The pioneer speakers have good overall range and good bass much better range and clarity than stock. The ridgeline does have a subwoofer behind rear seat. I chose these speakers because they are 4 way and 35-29,000 Hz. A low bass note of a regular 4 string bass is 40 Hz so they seem to have pretty good bass/range and clarity. I also like the mid range tweeter as the ridgeline has a treble and bass adjustment but no midrange adjustment. The stock speakers were lacking in range and clarity. If these come back in stock I'll probably put a pair in front doors also. Mounting was easy with speaker mounts and wire pig tail supplied by Crutchfield. I do wish Crutchfield would post the Hz range and db sensitivity as you scroll through all the speakers so you don't have to open each speaker choice to see that info

Solid budget replacement speaker
Paul from MILLSBORO, DE on 3/29/2025
2010 Honda Civic
I bought these to replace the rear speakers in my 2010 Honda Civic Si. The sensitivity of these speakers is noticeably less than the stock speakers. As a result of that, I needed to adjust the fade control of my head unit to increase the volume of the rear speakers relative to the front. I found that a setting of +3 to +5 is about right. (The Civic's fade control goes from -9 to +9.) These speakers deliver much cleaner sound overall than the stock speakers. The high-frequency and midrange performance is superior but the bass response is not as good. If you have more to spend, you should be able to find a better replacement speaker. But for the price, these would be hard to beat.

Speakers are excellent in many ways except for bass. They will need a sub to back them up. They do everything else well.
Pros: Mids and highs are excellent.
Cons: No bass

These sound great! Nice range. The highs came to life even though my Land Cruiser has factory tweeters high on the door. And the bass is way better than I expected. Pretty easy install with the installation parts that all fit correctly.
Pros: Sound great. Install kit was perfect.

Stock speakers were crackling after upgrading my car stereo. Bought these and couldn't be happier, sound is crisp highs, clear mods, and decent lows. I'm noticing parts of my music that'd I'd only heard on headphones before. Wish these fit my rear doors so I could buy a second set. Installation was difficult for me a first time speaker installer, but after a couple hours I figured it out. Crutchfield including wire adapters is a life saver.
Pros: Awesome crisp and clear sound.
Cons: Installation was hard for me.

Average bass
Jake from Pasadena, CA on 3/20/2024
while these have some bass they do not have the old school 4 way bass that speakers used to have. Also the blades connecting to the wire harness are extremely fragile and bent with very little pressure. be careful connecting if your leads are tight.
Pros: Easy to install, fit perfectly in the space.
Cons: Flimsy connector blades, average bass was expecting more.

Good, clean and efficient
Drew from CLEVELAND, OH on 3/12/2024
2012 Mazda 2
I purchased these speakers for my 2012 Mazda 2 (Crutchfield said they did not fit in my vehicle). They do, in fact, fit in my cars doors. The door speakers have two plastic tabs that must be removed in order the fit the adapter, which maybe thats why Crutchfield said they do not fit? The speakers themselves (with my 2010 Sony headunit pushing 16 watt RMS) sound very clear and crisp. They do indeed lack in the sub bass range but anything above 50-90hz sounds superb. I plan on installing a Alpine 12" Type R 1500w soon to fill the sub-bass void. These are best paired with a subwoofer of some kind, to hit the sub-bass. These are great for rock music, but hip-hop and electronic will not have the punch and rumble of bass, they just aren't designed for it. I used the original wire harness and purchased an aftermarket harness-to-speaker adapter that made the install go along much faster. This along with using speaker gasket to seal the speaker to the mount and a thick foam speaker gasket on the face of the speaker to seal it with the door panel. I installed 3-in-1 sound deadening to the doors frame and removable door panel with very good results. Road noise has been lessened and my doors almost completely stopped vibrating.
Pros: Excellent mid-bass, mids and treble. Good design and build quality
Cons: Sub-bass is almost non-existent

Clean, full sound but light on bass.
Nik from ROYAL OAK, MI on 2/21/2024
2006 Honda Civic
Excellent speakers; the sound is clean and full. I installed these in the front doors and rear decklid of my 2006 Honda Civic EX with stock headunit. They are a huge improvement over stock speakers; fuller, clearer, and actually louder too. I'm taking 1 star off because I'd say the 35hz low-end rating is a little too generous; they play very nicely down to about 50hz. An aftermarket headunit may help a little. Despite that, I'd still wholeheartedly recommend these as long as you're not expecting deep, powerful bass.
Pros: Clean, full sound. Good build quality. Pleasing, OEM like design.
Cons: Bass may not be as deep as expected.

My head unit is a Jensen CR271ML and I have these speakers running through a Jensen JA2B amplifier. I feel they are worth the money and produce great sound with clarity. I recommend regardless of your setup that you always take note of the rated RMS of your speakers and try to match them closely with the head unit or amplifier.

Great speakers and with the installation kit, an easy and perfect way to change the sound in my car. They compliment the JBL 3 way 6x9 speakers I installed in the rear shelf I bought from Crutchfield as well.

2019 Honda Ridgeline
I replaced 7 of the 8 factory speakers in my Honda Ridgeline and put these in the 4 doors. These produced excellent sound and are obviously way better than the factory speakers. The bass is crisp and clear and sounds better than the factory subwoofer. The whole change from factory to after market speakers was like night and day. These just sound so much more crisp and clean. The Crutchfield installation information for my vehicle was great!

2019 Honda HR-V
I installed the Pioneer TS-A1681F in the rear door of my Hond HR-V. The installation went smooth and with the included brackets and wiring adaptors the installation was a breeze. The sound out of these 4 way speakers is tremendous and even though I have factory speakers in the front they actually improved the soundstage exponentially. The bass is tight, the highs are crisp and the mid ranges are second to none. I can't say enough good things about these 4-way speakers and the quality that is built in to these. I plan on installing a set of Pioneer TS series components and I can't wait to hear how they sound. If they sound as good as these then I won't be disappointed.
