Woofer: The TS-W1008D2 is an IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) \r\ncomposite cone woofer with interlaced Basalt and Aramid fibers. This process of cone \r\nmolding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. The cone \r\nis lightweight and rigid for low distortion and superior bass response.

3-Layer Urethane Surround: The surround uses two layers of urethane \r\nwith a layer of interwoven fiber between them to add strength and stability and reduce \r\ncone distortion.

Dual Voice Coils: For increased system flexibility, the woofer \r\nhas two 2Ω voice coils. The two sets of spring compression binding post terminals \r\nare side-by-side for easy wiring. Each post will accept a pin connector, a single \r\nbanana plug, or bare wire up to 10 gauge. The speaker is shipped with two of the \r\nterminals shorted together and covered (wired in series) to present a 4Ω load. \r\nRemove the shorting wire and connect the terminals in parallel to present a 1Ω \r\nload. Additionally, each coil can be connected to a different amplifier channel and \r\neach channel will see a 2Ω load.

Dual Mass Magnet: The TS-W1008D2 uses a Dual Mass Magnet assembly \r\n(weighing in at 74oz.) to create a powerful magnetic force. This increases the control \r\nexerted over the voice coil and the power transferred to the cone.
