Great amp, this is my 2nd CXA series amp and I love them both. Great value for the money - clean and powerful sound in a compact footprint.

OMG!!!!!!

The certificate that came with it said 127 watts it was tested at. I remove my Directed 600D that I been running for years with 2 Pops Speaker 12" 500 rms 100 peak speakers.. I change it to this 1200 watts RMS amp and it's pumping out 1217 pure power. The one drain back is I had to upgrade my power cable from 4 gauge to 0 gauge. If I turn my boulevard pass 20 my 4 channel kicker would clip. Since I change the cable I can play it at any volume with no problems. I definitely love kicker everything!!!

Lot the amp after 5 months of light use

This is my review of the kicker mono block amp and not Crutchfield. I had the amp professional installed on a 2016 Toyota Camry. Its a power hog for sure. You will most likely need a big 3 or a extra battery to really use the amp to its full potential. I used Rockford fosgate T1 Dvc12 inch subs x 2 in a sealed box @1 ohm. The amp let go while driving under basic use. Green light on.. no protect mode. No ourput. Just went to be with Jesus for no reason. Crutchfield the next day sent out a replacement.. ive had it installed again for $109 In my opinion the amp is okay...at best..i am using for sound quality ...sealed. it might do better as a air pusher. Crutchfield did a top notch job helping me. I felt like VIP..guess they treat everyone that way.

I have been a kicker fan for years. I have 2 American Bass Elite 15s on the 1200.1 and I sounds great. Still have room to play with by the subs being 1200rms just don't have time to upgrade to a 0 gauge to run the 1800 but il survive.

3 comp r 12s

I ran this amp 3 years ago in an f-150. It pushed 2x12s , 2x15s , and 4x8s. It ran all the setups fine.however with 4x8s and the inherent lack of bass with an 8 inch woofer despite having 4 of them I would constantly blow fuses . You can chalk that up to the truck not having enough voltage or 4gauge wire not having enough current or sever clipping. It pushed 3 8s just fine however . That particular cxa12001 lasted 2 and a half years. It started fluctuating power delivery and bass would come off weak and then extremely strong. Hopefully the new cxa12001 purchased from crutchfield doesn't have the same issue 2 years from now.but it's currently pushing 3 kicker comp R 12s .the subs are happy and the amp is keeping satisfactory temperatures at a 2.67 ohm load . I'm toying with the idea of throwing a 4th comp R into the mix .which brings me to The question of why crutchfield advisors advise against running more than 2 subs on this amplifier with no explanation . Refrence the q/a section of this product. Q- can I run three subs on this amp A- power delivery is sufficient, but we don't recommend this amp I'm still trying to figure out why

Make sure you know how to use the remote wire it won't work without it which is a great thing so it won't kill your battery. Overall it was a great purchase

Powerful amp in a small package

Powerful amp. This runs my 8" Square 44L7S84 Solobarics in two 0.75cubic foot sealed boxes with rumble to spare. It hits low lows and shakes my 2013 Tundra CrewMax RockWarrior. I am running it at 4ohm/300W per sub. This amp will allow me to go to 1 ohm and 600W per sub once I have the alternator to support it.

Great Quality Bass

Really love this amplifier. It has a variable bass boost for a much more powerful thump from my subwoofers. Allows sound to come out clean without any distortion based on my personal set up.

I love how compact this amp is for it being a 1200-watt amp! Its perfect for the amp rack I behind the back seat of my 2020 Silverado 1500. There's no built-in fan so it can heat up but not too bad at all. I was worried about it getting hot because its crammed behind my seat with very little breathing room. I haven't ran any tests on it to clock what it's actually doing in my scenario but I can tell it's pushing some power through the speakers I'm using. Im happy with the features and performance now lets see how long it lasts!

Upgraded from a 2000w Kenwood Amp. Maybe it's the extra 200 to 400w, but this pushes my two Comp R 12s much deeper and harder. Works well in a 2014 Nissan Sentra with a higher-end battery than stock and 4 guage wires. Stock alternator is 110 amp.

Look its a 1200 watt 2 ohm monoblock from one of the most reliable car audio companies out there. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, then you'd be hard pressed to find a better solution for mult-sub installs. Between Kicker CX amps and Alpines S series amps, brother you're not going to beat these for the money. Just buy it!

I Give the cxa 1200 4 stars already have the l7 shallow sub was being pushed by the cxa 800 made a little difference in giving the sub more control with a little deeper bass but thought it would be a major improvement not the case bass heads are never happy according to the birth certificate it's only 300watts more then the cxa 800?

Space saving powerhouse

What a beast of an amp! It does about 1350 RMS when I check the volts. Obviously there are more powerful amps available, but look at the size of this thing! It's such a space saver! It's also quite durable. I've got it running at 4 ohms and it's STILL sending out 800ish RMS when I check the voltage. (On some songs, it's pushing 650 watts to each sub)! Doesn't even get warm. I have no intention of replacing the amp, I will be upgrading the woofers to handle the full 1350, and I would imagine it will be more sound than I need.

Kicker power

This is an absolute powerhouse. I have not bought a bass amp in 15 years, and what is offered for under $500 is leaps and bounds above what used to be a $1000 or more. I run this through a pair of JL Audio v3s and I can run it for over an hour at high volume and it barely gets hot. I ran 4 gauge power and ground and 12 gauge speaker cable and this thing functions perfectly. No clips, no dips and no fuse trips.

I paired this with a kicker46TL7T124 and it blew my mind. To be honest, it hits far too hard for my needs so I had to turn the gain down to 50% and the bass boost down to about 75% because the bass was so powerful. I control the rest through my Sony XAV-AX7000. Even with the lowered setting it will make seeing out the mirrors of my F-350 super crew almost impossible. Wish I had this as a teenager. No distortion even at 80% volume. The amp is very compact and generates no real heat. Fits perfectly behind the back seat or under the factory steel frame hidden under the rear seat. Truly better than I had anticipated.

Very Capable Amp at a Modest Price

Very good amp so far. I have this amp pushing two Digital Designs 600 series 10s and it slaps! The low bass is killer. I have the 4 ohm dual voice coil subs wired to a 1 ohm load and this amp runs cool without any issues. I love the bass knob so I can constantly dial in the perfect amount of bass for each song that I play or turn it down a couple notches when I don't want to go full tilt. This amp makes my subs sound great and absolutely no background noise- just crystal clear bass notes.

Compact and powerful. Pounding the brains out of my single L7S wired at 2 ohms in a ported enclosure tuned to around 34. Entirely to much power, I know. Should be able to power two L7 at 1 ohm without a problem. Had a five channel kenwood running my entire system. When the bass hit my lights would dim even though I had a extra battery and a 3 farad cap. Sub is getting twice the power now and lights do not dim.

Kicker 1200.1 hits the mark

This amp is a great, it hits hard, easy to set up and is sturdy. I couldnt believe the weight of this amp. Let me back up though. I have this hooked up to 2 Kicker comp r woofers in the kicker ported box. These are rated at 500 rms each, so this 1200 rms amp gives plenty of head room. I have cranked it up a couple times after setting gains and it really shakes the car with the deep feel it in your chest bass. Besides that though since they are still all new, I am giving them a little bit of a breaking period, so I may review again in a few months. But as of now, this amp is a beaut and I definitelywould buy again and refer a friend. On a side note keep your eye on Crutchfield because they run promos on these.

Kick -ass Kicker - Incredible bass!

Prior to purchasing this Kicker amp i bought a Planet Audio amp that claimed to put out 1000w RMS at 2 ohms. After hooking it up to my MTX subwoofer enclosure (2-12" subs in ported enclosure), it would not even move the subs, even at full gain. I sent it back and called Crutchfield. The advisor recommended this Kicker amp, which i bought and installed. Its a true 1200 watt RMS, even comes with a certificate. Now my bass is so powerful my car shakes. Priced at around $325, it's considerably more than i had initially wanted to spend, but its well worth it. What i learned from dealing with Crutchfield is if you buy great equipment and set it up properly (with the aid of Crutchfield tech support), you will have a great sound system.

Nice Amp, I would recommend without thinking twice

This Amp is worth every penny! If you spent a good amount on your subwoofer then do the same with the Amp. Don't get cheap with an Amp. I chose this Amp and I'm glad I got the Kicker 1200. 1200 Watts RMS!! I have mine setup at 2 ohm and it's pushing a 15" SKAR VXF D4-4. My subwoofer is happy with this bad boy giving it juice. SKAR subs are made to play loud so I can put more power to this woofer but for now I'm staying with this Kicker 1200 (if it ain't broke then don't fix it!!) Hope this helps anyone looking for a Great Amp that won't break the bank. IMO one of the beat bang for the buck!

Stillwater Designs BIG power!

I've had this amplifier for around 3 months. I'm running a single 12" Kicker Comp Q 4 ohm DVC subwoofer in a 2.5 cubic foot SPL box. The subwoofer is rated at 850w RMS. This amplifier could run 2 of them with ease. Power set up is 0 guage to a 4 gauge distribution block on a 200 amp fuse. Very clean installation with 13.89 V consistantly. The things I love about this amp are, footprint, wiring options, power, solid construction, and cool running. I play this setup loud all the time. Once I set the gains and crossover, it is set and forget. Not one issue with amplifier has arisen since I purchased it. I can play it pushing that 12 for hours and it doesn't even get warm. I am extremely impressed with the playability and consistancy of this unit. Build quality is simple and stout. I love the fact that it has dual outputs for wiring freedom and the truth in the crossover settings. If your looking for BIG POWER, price point, footprint, and set it and forget it quality, buy this amp! You won't regret it. Thank you Crutchfield for your service, speed, and quality.
