Kicker's Solo-Baric square-cone subwoofer technology has been turning heads and popping ears for decades. Designed to excel

The 49L7X121 starts with a cast aluminum basket that supplies the rigidity needed for solid output. Its double-pressed pulp cone and Santoprene rubber surround are designed with Kicker's square cone technology, with ribbed corners for consistent movement. Its 3" aluminum voice coil stays cool while dishing out the heat. This sub will handle up to 2000 watts RMS, so you'll produce prize-winning bass at volume levels no one else can touch.

Totally wired

Kicker's unique SoloX wiring terminals make it easy to connect your sub. Each spring-loaded terminal accepts up to 8 AWG wire, and a dual 8 AWG terminal block above it makes series or parallel wiring a breeze.

Recone in the field

The L7X is designed to allow a quick recone in the field. The 49L7X121RK Field-Replaceable Recone Kit for the 49L7X121 (sold separately) includes its exclusive surround compression system, bolt-on spider landing, and helpful alignment shims to allow you to reboot your blown sub in minutes with no gluing required.

Features

Dual Voice Coils: For increased system flexibility, the woofer has two 1Ω voice coils. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a ½Ω load; when wired in series, the woofer presents a 2Ω load.

Square Design: By making the SoloX square, Kicker is giving you the most possible cone area (Sd) for a given size baffle, 16% to 20% more area than a conventional round subwoofer. More cone area means the cone moves more air, resulting in louder, deeper bass.

Terminals: There are two set screw terminals shorted to each spring terminal, making it easy to connect multiple subwoofers. Each terminal accepts bare wire up to 8-gauge.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker's subwoofers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum bass response. The high-performance suspension system makes the speakers very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Enclosure: Kicker recommends a 3 ft³ ported enclosure with a 13" x 3½" x 36½" slot port, yielding a tuning frequency of 31 Hz.

Cutout: The woofer will not mount in a standard enclosure with a round cutout. Instead, the woofer must be mounted in an enclosure with a 11.06" x 11.06" square opening.
