Q
Will this work with a Ford Transit 2022 with the 4" Sync 3 system? Details says it works with all Sync 3 systems but the check your vehicle says it doesn't.

Greetings. That is a great question, and it looks like we have conflicting information on our site. It should be corrected soon, but I reached out to Crux technical support, and they verified that this will work on all Fords with Sync2, or 3.

Greetings Devon, and thank you for your question. If you have a vehicle on the compatibility list, then yes, all you need to do is plug it into the vehicles USB input.

Q
so would using this allow me to use the rca to then plug into a amp? so that i can run a sub without having to splice into stock wiring? 2017 ford fusion large touch screen

Nope, this provides an input, not an output.

You will likely have to splice to get signal out from the OEM radio. An advisor would be able to explore your options more thoroughly: https://www.crutchfield.com/support/ContactUs.aspx

Q
My 2019 Ranger has the base radio with 4.2 inch screen which the owners manual refers to as SYNC. Your website states that this product will work with my vehicle but the compatibility section only lists Ford vehicles with SYNC2 and SYNC3. Will it work with the base SYNC radio? Did either of the two reviewers that installed this product in their Rangers have the base radio with SYNC?

I purchased this product for a 2020 Ford Escape with Sync 3. I'm old school and like having all of my music in one location on my 120+ GB iPod and a smart phone can't hold my entire music catalog. Ford has removed the audio jack as i'm sure you have found out (frustrating). This product did NOT work. In February of 2020, I called Ford technical support and I was told that, at the moment, with the current firmware, only a smart phone would be compatible with Sync 3. The vehicle would not recognize this device when plugged into either USB port. Furthermore, prior to this purchase, I purchased a Bluetooth transmitting device. That did NOT work either.

Yup, my 2019 Ranger also has the base 4.2 inch screen and the adapter works great. The 2019 Ranger with the 4.2 screen is running a version of Sync 3.
