Worth every penny especially if you like live rock or blues!

I love live music and I love these things! They sound great and offer good hearing protection, especially with the foam inserts which seal much better than the silicone tips and are more comfortable, at least in my ears. The sound is clear and the bass isn't boomy or muddy. The high end isn't cut off as is the case with all non-electronic ear plugs. They have terrific battery life and can be charged many times before the battery in the case needs to be recharged. The optional 6db boost for quiet sounds is a brilliant feature! I found that it also makes the high end sound better if the music is loud enough to warrant hearing protection but not very extremely loud and also allows you to converse easily. I have custom ear molds for my Etymotic earbuds but they don't quite fit these earplugs. I'm going to check with my audiologist and see if custom molds can be made for these. They are that good.
Pros: The sound is outstanding and the hearing protection is very good. Etymotic is a great company.
Cons: None as far as I'm concerned. Yep, they cost much more than inexpensive passive earplugs but there is no comparison as far as the sound is concerned. They are well worth the price if you value both great sound and your hearing. They are a fraction of what decent hearing aids cost which you will need if you don't protect your ears from loud sound.

Great for Pro Horn Player
Haley from Dallas, TX on 12/17/2024
Great a professional horn player who has to enudure sitting in front of the percussion. I can still match my colleagues and hear myself while being protected. My whole section is buying these and happy with them.
Pros: Easy to put in and can still hear myself, many options
Cons: None

Nice to be able to hear myself better in the back of an orchestra, in front of the brass. Only problem is that now I can hear the conductor breathing! ??
