Overview: The Soundtube CM62-EZS-WH is a 2-way, blind-mount, in-ceiling speaker featuring a coaxially mounted 6.5" woofer and a 1" tweeter. The speaker features transformer tap settings for 25, 70, and 100 volt operation, and also includes a 16-ohm bypass. Designed specifically for indoor paging and background music, the CM62-EZS-WH is ideal for hotels, restaurants, airports, churches, and similar applications.

Drivers: The CM62-EZS-WH features a 6.5" treated fiber woofer cone with a cloth surround and with a 1" silk dome tweeter, all mounted in a sealed steel backcan enclosure. This combination delivers high efficiency and performance across the operating bandwidth with a frequency response of 135 Hz to 22 kHz (@ -3db). Able to handle up to 50 watts RMS (100 watts Program power) and with a sensitivity of 87.5 dB (1 W/ 1 M), the CM62-EZS-WH can provide clear powerful sound with a coverage angle of up to 140° @ 2kHz (105° @ 10 kHz).

Enclosure: The CM62-EZS-WH is housed in a drawn steel backcan with an ABS plastic front baffle along with a painted steel-mesh grille. The grille can be painted to match the room color and includes an attached safety restraint lanyard.

Mounting: Installation of the speaker is done blind-mount using Soundtube's proprietary SpeedWing mounting arms. Two constant-tension, winged assemblies come pre-mounted to the speaker. Once the speaker is set in the ceiling opening, two Phillips-head screws on the front of the speaker can be tightened, expanding the SpeedWing mounting arms and providing tension on the backside of the mounting surface. The CM62-EZS-WH can be mounted to ceilings ranging in thickness from 0.04 to 1.6 inches, including drop-ceilings using the optional Tile Bridge. Additional attachment points are provided on the back of the speaker for an additional safety line (not included).

25/70/100 Volt: The CM62-EZS-WH can be used in 25, 70, and 100 volt applications and includes a 16-ohm bypass selection. A tap selection dial on the front of the speaker allows for easy configuration without having to remove the speaker from the ceiling. The following tap settings are available:

• 25 Volt: 0.3 W, 0.5 W, 1 W, 2 W, 4 W
• 70 Volt: 2 W, 4 W, 8 W, 16 W, 32 W
• 100 Volt: 4 W, 8 W, 16 W, 32 W
• 16-ohm Bypass

Connections: The Soundtube in-ceiling speaker features a set-screw terminal strip that can accept speaker wire up to 14-gauge. One set of +/- terminals acts as the input while a parallel set of terminals provides a pass-thru for daisy-chaining additional speakers.
