Features
Common Motor Compression Driver: The Hertz HTX 8H S-FL-SW marine tower speaker features Hertz's new Common Motor Compression Driver that combines an 8" woofer and an integrated tweeter for improved acoustical performance and a significant reduction in size and weight. The HTX tower speaker features a single magnet with 2" long-throw voice coil that's fine-tuned for the sealed enclosure. A FEM-optimized cone design, that acts like a compression horn, and a precisely tuned wave guide provide a focused and linear 98 dB SPL response out to 100+ feet. The tower speaker also features a built-in crossover with a resettable solid-state compression driver protection circuit and an acoustically transparent dust cap for added protection.
Materials Testing: The Hertz HTX tower speaker is designed for the marine environment and carries an IP65 certification, making it impervious to water spray. The speaker also meets ASTM-D4329 and ASTM-B117 standards for UV and salt/fog spray resistance.
Power Handling: The 4Ω marine speaker can handle 200 watts RMS with a peak power rating of 400 watts.
RGB Lighting: The Hertz HTX marine tower speaker features RGB LED technology with an illuminated ring around the base of the speaker grille. An optional LED rear logo cap can also be illuminated and is sold separately. Individual colors can be selected, via the wiring, or can have thousands of color variations using an optional RGB controller, such as the 867SYNC4 or the RFRGBMC (both sold separately).
Mounting: The Hertz HTX marine tower speaker does not include a mounting clamp or hardware, but can be used with the Hertz HTX CLAMP.1 swiveling mounting clamp, found here. The Hertz HTX CLAMP.1 mount can be used on round or square tubing ranging from 1.5" to 3" thick.
Wiring: Each speaker includes an 12" wire harness extending from the bottom of the enclosure and terminated in a Molex plug. An additional 12" harness is included with a matching plug on one end and bare-ended wires on the other. Wiring includes:
- White: Speaker positive (+)
- Black: Speaker negative (-)
- Yellow: RGB LED positive (+12V)
- Red: RGB LED negative for red (-)
- Blue: RGB LED negative for blue (-)
- Green: RGB LED negative for green (-)
