Overview: The Lorex 4K Smart Deterrence IP Wired Camera (Model E894AB) is an add-on security camera for the Lorex Fusion 4K Network Video Surveillance System. The camera features Smart Security Lighting in the color of your choice, plus Smart Motion Detection Plus that can identify what or whom triggered the detection. The 2-way talk feature lets you hear and speak to your guests through the camera. Active Deterrence features include a warning light, siren, and a pre-recorded message. Camera: The 4K IP Wired Camera has an 8MP 1/2.8" CMOS image sensor that produces 4K (3840 x 2160) 16:9 UHD video with High Dynamic Range (HDR). The camera can output video as follows: 4K (8MP) @ 15 fps, 5MP @ 30 fps, 1080p @ 30 fps, and 720p @ 30 fps.

Lens: The camera has a 2.8mm fixed focal length lens with a wide f/1.6 aperture. It has a 108° horizontal field of view.

Smart Security Lighting: On both sides of the lens are two bright LED warning lights that can be set to automatically turn on when motion is detected. Above the lens is the curved LED Smart Security Lighting that illuminates in the color of your choice. In the Lorex Home app, you can choose from 16.7 million colors for motion events and various preset camera modes (example: green for "welcome", red for "panic," etc.).

Color Night Vision (CNV): The camera is equipped with high powered Infrared LEDs to enable the camera to record video in the dark or low light conditions. The built-in Color Night Vision (CNV) Booster lets you record full-color nighttime video out to 150 feet (45 meters) using ambient light, and up to 98 feet (30 meters) in total darkness. When there is not sufficient ambient light, the video will revert from color to black & white to ensure an optimal low-light image.

Two-way Audio: The camera features a microphone and a speaker that enable two-way communication. With the Lorex Home app, you can talk to and listen to the person on the camera.

Siren: The camera has an extra level of deterrence with a loud, remote-triggered siren. The siren can be manually triggered from the Lorex Home app to scare away uninvited visitors.

Smart Motion Detection Plus: The 4K IP Wired Camera offers Smart Motion Detection Plus to alert you when there's activity outside your home. Smart Motion Detection uses AI and advanced algorithms to analyze and identify specific types of motion and push specific motion alerts to your smartphone. The camera can send Person Alerts, Vehicle Alerts, or Animal Alerts when they are identified. In addition, you can enable Package Detection that alerts you when you have a package at your doorstep or if a package has been removed. In the Lorex Home app, you can access the Motion Detection settings: Sensitivity (level 1-8), Detection Type, Motion Zone (can be defined to areas you want covered), Distance (lower the distance if triggered by unwanted events), and Siren Duration (up to 60 seconds or Off).

Mounting: The camera can be mounted indoors or outdoors on a wall or ceiling with the included bracket. The bracket features a swiveling mount that lets you aim the camera where you want. The camera has an aluminum alloy body and an IP67 weather-resistance rating, meaning it can withstand a variety of weather conditions and temperatures. It can operate in a temperature range of -22°F to +140°F (-30°C to 60°C).

Power Requirements: The 4K IP Wired Camera is powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet). It comes with over 98 feet (30 meters) of Cat 5e cable and should be plugged into the PoE port on your Network Video Recorder (NVR) or into a PoE Switch on your network. The cable has a weather-resistant cap to protect the plug from weather, dust, dirt, and other environmental contaminants. If exposed to the weather, you should seal the cap with silicone and electrical tape. The camera also has a 12V DC power inlet on a 15" pigtail.

Optional Video Storage: Video from the camera is stored in the system's connected Network Video Recorder (NVR). A microSD card can be inserted in the camera for optional independent video storage. You can access data through the camera using a web browser, but the video captured on the SD card will not upload to the NVR or to the cloud for mobile app viewing.

Lorex Home App: The Lorex Home app gives you easy access to recordings on your Lorex security camera or video doorbell. When your camera detects motion, you will receive an instant motion alert notification on your smartphone, allowing you to view live video on your device. Using the app, you can see and respond to a person at your door or on your property using two-way talk. The app lets you configure advanced motion detection functions and system settings. Access to your cameras and security system can be shared with family or friends, if desired. The Lorex Home app is compatible with Apple iPhone and iPod touch with iOS 10.0 or later. It also works with Apple TV (requires tvOS 9.0 or later) and a Mac with macOS 11.0 or later and Apple M1 chip or later. The app is also compatible with Android devices running version 5.0 and up.
