About the Lightning Audio L65

Alexander H.

Lightning strikes every time

Lightning Audio puts its car speakers through rigorous testing to guarantee reliable performance. When you play your Lightning Audio L65 6-3/4" 3-way speakers for the 500th time, you can be sure they'll sound as good as the first time you fired them up. The L65's rugged mica-injected polypropylene cone handles the lower frequencies, while the 1/2" Mylar balanced dome tweeter and piezo supertweeter will deliver accurate higher frequencies for a satisfying sound. And with power handling up to 40 watts RMS, you'll be in good shape to crank your tunes with a factory radio, an aftermarket stereo, or a suitable amp.

Size Classification Note: Some manufacturers, including Lightning Audio, call this size speaker a 6-1/2". Because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6-1/2" speaker, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size as a 6-3/4". Please refer to the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm fit in your vehicle.

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

Looking for door speakers for an 09 chevy traverse. Why do the 6 1/2 speakers listed for the rear doors also fit the front doors but the 6 1/2 speakers listed for the front doors do not also fit the rear doors?

Most likely it will have to do with the depth of the speaker. For additional details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on what fits and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle.
