Awesome Amp

Very powerful amp, installed in my boat in a dry locker, pushing 4 Kicker 6.5's (75w x4), and 2 Kicker 8" (150w x 2), and it doesn't get too hot, although I do keep an external fan on it. Highly recommend for a staggered setup.

Pros: Can be mounted either way, then add the logo, brilliant. Does not get super hot like some amps, that you could literally fry an egg on.

Cons: None

Does Not Disappoint! Worth every dollar. Make sure to have a 4-volt input signal at a minimum and you will be happy as a clam.... Alpine = Two Thumbs UP!

Pros: Small Footprint, Exceptional Quality.

Cons: Do Not Use a Two-volt Input.

Easy to install nice to be able to have front rear and subwoofer in one amp. Sounds great in my 2015 f350 super crew cab

Pros: One amp for door speakers and subs. The bass knob really woke up the subs

Durand

I wasted so much time chasing what I thought was a bad ground, only to find out that the amp going into protect mode was due to over-voltage sensitivity of the high level input circuit. I was feeding the speaker wires from a 2016 Ford Fusion head unit direct into the amp with the hi level circuit selected. It wasn't until I finally consulted with Alpine, and they told me an LOC was required. What's the point of having high level inputs (rated at 10V) if they can't handle a wimpy stock radio signal? BTW, I ended up using an Audio Control LC7i, and it did the trick.

Pros: Easy install Nice quality weight and feel

Cons: Can't handle line level inputs as advertised.

Incredible and versatile amp.

Cheapskate from PA on 10/15/2020

This amp offers so much value and versatility that few other six channel amps can match. Here are some highlights for me. 1. Channels 5 and 6 put out twice the watts as channels 1-4. I cannot overstate how awesome this is. The extra power is fantastic for midbass drivers if you are running 3-way active or great if you are bridging it to run a subwoofer (500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms) in 3 or 5 channel mode. 2. Bandpass filtering. I don't have a DSP or high end head unit so I have no way to run a bandpass filter. But thanks to this amp, I can run an active two way component setup and attenuate the tweeters since higher frequencies tend to sound harsh/painful to my ears. This amp lets me run 80-4000hz to the woofers, 4000+ hz to the tweeters and 80hz and below to the subwoofer. The vast majority of other multi-channel amps only have high and low pass filters up to 500hz or so. 3. Fits under the driver seat of my Tacoma. 4. Underrated output. My birth sheet says says 118w @ 2 ohms for channels 1-4 and 272w @ 2 ohms for channels 5-6. 5. Bought a scratch and dent model and it looks brand spanking new. 6. My 8 inch JL Audio Microsub sounds great with this amp. 7. Amp has a very solid build quality and feel. Alpine is not some flea market brand. I could not be happier with this purchase and cannot wait to get better speakers for it.

Pros: Plenty if power for virtually all applications. Bandpass filtering. Crossover frequencies adjustable beyond 500hz unlike most amps these days.

Cons: Only does 4 ohms bridged on any of the channels.
