About the PAC APH-GM02 AmpPro Speaker Connection Harness

Buck Pomerantz

PAC APH-CH01 interface

PAC's APH-GM02 speaker wiring interface saves a lot of time and effort when you're installing an aftermarket amplifier or amplifiers in select 2014-up GM vehicles with factory Bose sound systems. The APH-GM02 connects to the plug on your factory amp that houses all the speaker wires coming out of your factory amp, providing the bare speaker wire connections for your new amplifier. You won't have to cut off any plugs — you'll need to leave the factory amp connected. This interface requires PAC's AP4-GM61 AmpPRO module (sold separately). Warranty: 1 year.

Product Research

Features

Amplifier Installation Harness: The APH-GM02 installation harness simplifies speaker wire connections when using PAC's AmpPRO AP4-GM61 module (sold separately) to add an aftermarket amplifier or amplifiers in select 2014-up GM vehicles that feature factory amplified sound systems. The APH-GM02 keeps you from having to cut or modify your vehicle's original factory wiring, providing a direct connection at the vehicle's original factory amplifier location (you will need to make hardwire connections at the aftermarket amplifier/s).

Vehicle Compatibility: The PAC APH-GM02 installation harness can be used in the following 2014-up GM vehicles with factory amplified sound systems (requires compatible PAC AmpPRO AP4-GM61 (sold separately).

Q
I have the bose factory amp in my pickup, Would this harness bypass the bose anc?
rm4540  Apr 20, 2023
1 answer
A
This harness is not designed to bypass the Bose ANC. It would be used alongside the PAC AmpPRO AP4-GM61, which would allow for the addition of aftermarket amplifiers. However, these products do not bypass the factory amplifier or its functions. In order to disable the factory ANC, it will be necessary to cut an tape off a handful of wires leading to the factory ANC mics.

Q
Would this work with a Wavtech link 2?
michael  Mar 10, 2023
1 answer
A
This could be used as a means of getting signal for the Wavtech link2 from the output of a factory amplifier.
zachary  Mar 10, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Will this work with the lc2i channel line out converter?
adam  Feb 23, 2023
1 answer
A
Because this harness set does include a piece that allows for pass-through between the factory amplifier and the factory speakers, it would be possible to use parts of this set with the LC2i.

Q
Will this harness work with a lc8 audio control?
moby316  Nov 20, 2022
1 answer
A
Since this is designed to work in conjunction with the PAC AmpPRO in the link below, it will not easily work with the LC8 Audio Control. If you need the 8-channel output the LC8 can offer, it's best to hardwire it into your setup.

Yes that harness is compatible with a 2018 Colorado with Bose when used with PAC's AmpPRO AP4-GM61 interface.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
Does this come with active noise cancellation bypass plug and play harness? I ordered the APSUB-GM61 PAC in January and it didn't have one with it and I need the bypass harness to get my system to function properly

Q
I see that many people have used this harness to ADD an amplifier to the existing Bose, but would this work to add a 4 channel amplifier to power active front stage, AND a sub amp? Has anyone tried this yet? I have a DSP, so I don't feel the need to purchase the additional interface unit...
michael  Dec 08, 2020
2 answers
A
Yes this will work.
trina-melisa  Dec 08, 2020
A
I believe it will. I used it to add a 4 channel amp and I use aftermarket speakers in the doors and still have Bose speakers in the front. I plan on removing the Bose sub eventually and I'll replace with an aftermarket and a dedicated amp.
william  Dec 08, 2020
Q
2018 silverado factory bose audio without sub. Bench seat model. Want to add my own sub and amp and keep everything else working as is. Will this harness keep factory amp working properly?
christopher  Nov 19, 2020
2 answers
A
Yes It will work you were only use one of the plugs in and leave the rest of it as is that's the best kid you can use if you don't want to cut any wires on your car
jorge  Nov 19, 2020
A
Yes I believe it will just make sure you connect the speaker wires back properly they are set up to connect to the factory amp or an aftermarket amp. This harness allows you not to cut the factory wiring just plug and play. Just make sure the amp or line output converter has the ability to deal with bass roll off.

Q
can i use this to also install a kicker 19303118 powered sub woofer?
justin  May 05, 2020
1 answer
A
Brand and model of sub don't matter. The harness has sub leads on it. So as long as you do your due diligence during your install it will be fine.
kem  May 05, 2020
Q
Can this harness be used to add a Kicker Key108.4 aftermarket amplifier without having to cut factory speaker wire?
steve  Feb 19, 2020
1 answer
A
Yes. I have a Kicker Key installed. That is the sole purpose of the harness; so you don't have to cut wire.
kem  May 05, 2020
Q
Can I use just the PAC APH-GM02 interface(s) and use a LC7i line out converter instead of using the PAC AmpPRO AP4-GM61?
john  Apr 08, 2019
1 answer
A
Yes that would be an easy way to feed signal into the LC7i. You won't retain as many of the factory controls as you do with the PAC AP4-GM61. If you have questions about which way makes more sense you can connect with one of our friendly product advisors here: https://bit.ly/2QNxGQB
