Injection-Molded Woofers: The woofer cones are injection-molded carbon fiber and polypropylene. This molding process assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.

Butyl Rubber Surrounds: The butyl rubber surrounds dampen unwanted harmonic distortion while maintaining linear geometry under extreme weather conditions. This leads to less distortion, superior frequency response, and superior durability.

VAST Surround: The Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST) increases a speaker's effective radiating cone area without increasing the size of the basket.

Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1" Aluminum dome tweeter for outstanding dispersion and clarity. The tweeters are angled so you can direct them toward the listening positions.

FlexFit Basket: The Flex Fit frame utilizes slots (where possible) instead of single screw sized holes; allowing slight adjustment of the speaker when mounted.

StampCast Basket: The T16 features StampCast steel baskets for added rigidity.

Mounting: While Rockford Fosgate calls the T16 a 6" speaker, they are sized to mount in standard three-hole and four-hole 6-1/2 applications. They can also be easily mounted in 6-3/4 applications, but because the extra screw holes create an air leak in the larger opening, speaker baffles must be used.

Multi-OEM Adapter: For mounting flexibility, the included brackets can be modified to fit 5x7, 6x8, or 6x9 applications.

Speaker Terminals: These speakers have 0.25" wide positive (+) terminals and 0.187" wide negative (-) terminals, which are too large for the vehicle-specific speaker harnesses supplied by Crutchfield for many vehicle applications. It is recommended that a pack of assorted female quick slides (item number 120FQS10PK, sold separately) be purchased and spliced to the harnesses to adapt them to the speaker terminals.
