Premium speakers all around

This bundle includes a pair of R700 floor-standing speakers to bring big, full-range sound to your front left and right channels. Each R700 rocks dual 8" long-throw woofers, a Turbine Cone™ 6-1/2" midrange driver, and a 1" Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter. The tweeter's waveguide minimizes high-frequency resonance, and the cabinet sports a down-firing port for reduced noise and better bass response

These are backed up by a pair of R200 bookshelf speakers that serve as rear surrounds. They feature the same excellent 6-1/2" woofer and 1" tweeter used in the R700. You can plant the R200s on a table or bookshelf behind you or use a set of high-quality speaker stands (sold separately) for additional stability and flexibility.

Smack in the middle of this system is the R400 center channel speaker, which incorporates two 6-1/2" Turbine Cone woofers and a 1" Pinnacle tweeter in a well-designed cabinet with two advanced rear-firing ports. This center channel ensures that dialogue comes through nice and clear.

A powerful sub for deep bass

The Polk HTS 12 sub is included to deliver hard-hitting bass with its 12" front-firing driver and 200-watt built-in amplifier. This helps you feel the rumble when dinosaurs are stomping around on screen or the boom when those dinos get exploded by a plucky hero.

You'll need speaker wire to tie it all together

Each speaker in this bundle will need to be connected to a high-current home theater receiver with speaker wire (sold separately). Check out our article about choosing and installing speaker wire and our selection of speaker wire.

Reserve R700 Floorstanding Speakers

Three-Way Driver Design: The Reserve Series R700 floorstanding loudspeaker utilizes a three-way driver design and inherits the Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter, plus Turbine cone midrange and woofers from Polk's flagship Legend series for renowned clarity and imaging.

  • Pinnacle Ring Radiator Tweeter: The 1" high definition Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter, developed by Polk Audio, delivers ultra-clear, crisp highs without unwanted coloration or distortions. The Pinnacle tweeter features a finely tuned waveguide that dramatically improves the dispersion of high frequency energy ensuring a broad "sweet spot" and while the critically damped rear-chamber helps to defeat any unwanted resonances. Hi-Res certified, the Pinnacle Tweeter is designed for today's two-channel music listening as well as multichannel 3D audio found in music, movies, sports, and video games soundtracks.
  • Turbine Cone Midrange & Woofers: The floorstanding loudspeaker houses one 6.5" Turbine Cone midrange driver and two 8" Turnine Cone woofers to handle midrange, midbass, and bass frequencies. Polk developed the new Turbine cone to ensure the natural reproduction of the midrange, the frequencies our ears are so sensitive to. The Turbine cone combines Polk's proprietary foam core and the molded Turbine geometry which dramatically increases stiffness and damping, without adding mass - resulting in a smooth, detailed midrange and effortless bass.

Hi-Res & IMAX Certification: The Reserve Series offers excellent sound reproduction for both music and movie soundtracks with Hi Res & IMAX Certification. With Hi-Res Audio certification, the Polk Reserve R700 delivers clear and detailed high-end response. Female vocals are particularly smooth, with exceptional clarity and without coloration. Plus, a minimum support of 40kHz perfectly reproduces the latest Hi-Res Audio files with improved audio extension. IMAX Enhanced certification guarantees a huge immersive and dynamic home theater experience when enjoying IMAX Enhanced movies, television shows and music.

Power Port 2.0: Polk's new Power Port 2.0 is the latest version of their successful Power Port technology. In addition to Power Port's carefully engineered down-firing port design that smooths the flow of air as it exits the cabinet through the port, X-Port adds a set of closed-pipe absorbers that are specifically tuned to unwanted cabinet and port resonances. Together, these two technologies combine to function as Power Port 2.0 to deliver smooth, detailed audio. Combined with dual 8" woofers, you’ll get louder, cleaner bass while minimizing turbulence and port noise.

Acoustically Inert Cabinet: Polk believes a speaker cabinet should be beautiful and add nothing to the playback. The Reserve Series speaker cabinet is carefully cross-braced to eliminate unwanted interior resonances, while rounded exterior corners help disperse sound broadly around the room with minimal diffraction, creating an open sound stage. A cloth grille attaches magnetically to the front of the speaker enclosure..

Dual Binding Posts: The Polk R700 is equipped with two sets of nickel-plated, binding posts allowing to bi-amp or bi-wire the floorstanding loudspeaker. These binding posts ensure a secure connection to many types of cable and connectors. The binding post terminals will accept banana plugs (single only), pin-connectors, spade-lugs and bare wire (16-10AWG).

  • Bi-Wiring: Bi-wiring can provide noticeable improvements in the overall transparency of your loudspeakers. Run separate speaker wires to the low & high frequency drivers from a single amplifier (the upper set of binding posts are for the high frequency drivers; the lower set of binding posts are for the low frequency drivers).
  • Bi-Amping: Bi-amping allows you to use separate amplifiers for the high & low frequency sections of your loudspeaker for greater dynamic range & lower distortion. We recommend that your separate amplifiers have identical gain to preserve the speaker's voicing balance.
Note: If you decide to bi-wire or bi-amp, you must remove the jumpers between the terminal posts (failure to do this could result in damage to your amplifier and loudspeakers).

Rubber or Spike Feet: The Polk R700 comes with rubber and spike feet for a variety of flooring. The spike feet should be used on carpet floors, while the rubber feet are designed for hardwood, vinyl, laminate, and tile floors. The feet will need to be screwed into the bottom of the speaker cabinet. The rubber feet come installed on the spikes. In order to expose the spikes, simply pull the rubber feet off. The feet are adjustable so you can level or angle the speaker to your preference.

  • Dimensions with Rubber Feet: 12.625" (w) x 45.0625" (h) x 16.9375" (d)
  • Dimensions with Spike Feet: 12.625" (w) x 44.9375" (h) x 16.9375" (d)

Note: Make sure to always utilize either the spike or rubber feet for optimum sound quality and maximum stability.

Polk Reserve R400 Center Channel Speaker

Two-Way Driver Design: The Reserve Series R400 center loudspeaker utilizes a two-way driver design and inherits the 1" Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter and 6.5" Turbine cone woofer from Polk's flagship Legend series for renowned clarity and imaging.

  • 1" Pinnacle Ring Radiator Tweeter: The 1" high definition Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter, developed by Polk Audio, delivers ultra-clear, crisp highs without unwanted coloration or distortions.
  • 6.5" Turbine Cone Woofers: The center loudspeaker houses two 6.5" Turbine Cone woofers to handle midrange, midbass, and bass frequencies.

With Hi-Res Audio certification, the Polk Reserve R400 delivers clear and detailed high-end response.

Polk X-Port: The R400 center loudspeaker employs a bass reflex cabinet with dual rear-firing ports. This new patent-pending Polk X-Port delivers deep, effortless bass compared to traditionally ported speakers. Polk's newly patented X-Port incorporates an Eigentone Filter (ETF) offering distortion-free, effortless bass. The X-Port consists of a set of closed-pipe absorbers that are specifically tuned to catch and eliminate traditional speaker distortions. Polk's X-Port design ensures that the upper bass and mid-range are free of port and cabinet resonances for smooth, detailed audio.

A cloth grille attaches magnetically to the front of the speaker enclosure.

Binging Post Terminals: The Polk Reserve Series R400 center loudspeaker is equipped with a set of nickel-plated, binding-post terminals that will accept bare wire (16-10AWG), pin-connectors, spade-lugs, and banana-plugs (single only).

Mounting & Placement Options: The most popular placement for a center channel speaker is below the TV. You may also place the center speaker above your TV should you choose. The center speaker can simply be placed on shelf, tabletop, or other stable flat surface. Integtrated rubber feet help to isolate the speaker from the mounting surface and protect your furniture.

Note: The R400 does not include brackets, keyholes, or inserts to wall mount the center speaker.

Polk Reserve R200 Bookshelf Speakers

Two-Way Driver Design: The Reserve Series R200 bookshelf loudspeaker utilizes a two-way driver design and inherits the 1" Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter and 6.5" Turbine cone woofer from Polk's flagship Legend series for renowned clarity and imaging.

  • 6.5" Turbine Cone Woofer: The bookshelf loudspeaker houses a single 6.5" Turbine Cone woofer to handle midrange, midbass, and bass frequencies.

Note: The R200 does not include brackets, keyholes, or inserts to wall mount the speaker.

Polk HTS 12 Powered Subwoofer

12" Polypropylene Dynamic Balance Woofer: The HTS 12 houses a front-firing 12" polypropylene long-throw woofer with rubber surround for deep, accurate bass. The woofer incorporates Polk's patented Dynamic Balance technology and is Klippel optimized to provide clean, clear bass, better linearity, lower distortion, and greater durability.

200W Class D Amplifier: The Polk HTS 12 employs a 200 watt (RMS) / 400 watt (Peak) Class D amplifier for dynamic bass performance.

Power Port Technology: The Polk HTS 12 powered subwoofer utilizes floor-firing patented Power Port Technology for deeper bass response and reduced port noise. The Power Port floor-firing design smoothly transitions air flow from the speaker into your listening area for deep, extended bass impact while minimizing turbulence, distortion, and port noise. At the port tuning frequency, Power Port equipped subwoofers have 3dB less port noise than similarly configured subwoofers without Power Port.

Non-Resonant Enclosure: The powered sub's strong, rigid, and acoustically inert curved enclosure reduces unwanted internal standing waves for less audible coloration. Its non-resonant Meddite MDF construction, with extra bracing and thick baffle, ensures a more lifelike sound.

Controls: Built-in controls for variable volume, low pass filter, and phase let you tune in optimum bass levels. All controls are found on the rear-panel of the powered sub.

  • Volume: The rotary volume knob adjusts the volume of the powered sub relative to the other speakers in the system.
  • Low-Pass Filter: The variable low-pass filter is adjustable from 40-160 Hz. The low-pass filter is only active for the powered sub's stereo RCA inputs. The low-pass filter is deactivated when using the powered sub's LFE input.
  • Phase: The phase switch allows you to select 0-degrees (normal) or 180-degrees (reverse). If the bass sounds muddy or unclear, toggling the phase control can sometimes strengthen the bass attack.

Line-Level Inputs: The Polk HTS 12 powered subwoofer is outfitted with an unfiltered LFE input and filtered stereo RCA inputs (subwoofer cable not included).

  • LFE Input (Unfiltered): The LFE input consists of an unfiltered mono-RCA jack (the LFE input bypasses the powered sub's variable low pass filter). Using the LFE input when connecting to an AV receiver or integrated amp with a filtered LFE output and built-in crossover control.
  • Stereo RCA Input (Filtered): The Stereo input consists of a left & right RCA jack (both jacks are filtered). Use the Stereo input when connecting to a receiver or integrated amp that does not have an LFE output, but does provide a preamp output.

Auto & DC Power On/Off: The powered subwoofer will automatically turn on when an audio signal is received and off when there is no audio signal for about 20 minutes. There is also a 12V trigger input on the back of powered sub which allows it to power on with your receiver or integrated amp that features a 12V trigger output (the 12V trigger provides a faster auto on/off).

Note: There is a switch on the back of the powered sub that indicates which power on/off method you will be using - Auto or DC.

Placement: You may place the powered subwoofer anywhere in your room, but it will perform best when it's on the same side of the room as your system's front speakers. Also, placing the subwoofer near a wall or in a corner will increase its loudness.
