IPX6 Rated: The Klipsch RSM-Series RSM-800 outdoor loudspeaker is IPX6-rated, making it water and weather resistant. It its protected against the most challenging weather conditions; including heavy rain fall, snow, sleet, and ice. the RSM-Series speaker can be used in outdoor or indoor applications.
Note: The RSM-800 outdoor loudspeaker is water and weather resistant, but should never be submerged into water.
2-Way Driver Design: The Klipsch RSM-800 loudspeaker utilizes a 2-way driver design that features a horn-loaded 1" titanium dome tweeter and an 8.0" polypropylene cone woofer for dynamic, full-range sound.
- 1" Titanium Dome Tweeter: The RSM-800 outdoor speaker features an all-new 1" horn-loaded titanium dome tweeter mounted on a floating driver bridge in the center of the woofer. Using Klipsch patented mumps technology and a wide dispersion phase plug, the horn-loaded titanium dome tweeter delivers a 100 x 100 degree dispersion pattern for a much wider soundstage.
- 8.0" Polypropylene Cone Woofer: The Klipsch outdoor loudspeaker also houses a 8.0" polypropylene cone woofer for articulate midrange and deep bass performance outdoors.
Tractrix Hyperfold Port: The RSM Series outdoor speaker utilizes Klipsch's all-new patented Tractrix Hyperfold Port engineered to extend port length for maximum bass power via a proprietary five-step folded design. Its increased airflow eliminates chuffing and port noise while providing a greater dispersion pattern for larger coverage areas
ABS Enclosure With Aluminum Grille: The RMS-800 loudspeaker employs a rugged ABS enclosure for high performance outdoor sound. The included aluminum grille is mounted to the speaker cabinet with sets screws to ensure a secure fit regardless of the outdoor environment. The RMS-800 is available in a black or white finish. However, you can paint the enclosure and grille to better match your outdoor space.
Spring Post Terminals: The Klipsch RSM-800 outdoor speaker is outfitted with a set of spring post terminals that will accommodate bare wire (up to 12AWG). The spring post terminals are located on the back of speaker enclosure behind the mounting bracket and are protected by a removable cover. The cover features a rubberized opening for the speaker wire to pass through.
Mounting Options: The Klipsch RSM-800 speaker can be mounted outdoors or indoors using the included bracket system. The mounting bracket system is corrosion resistant powder coated zinc and offer great placement flexibility. It allows you to rotate the speaker almost 180 degrees after it's been mounted, letting you direct the sound to different areas as needed. If the speaker is mounted vertically, the bracket allows it to swivel side to side. If the speaker is mounted horizontally, the bracket allows it to swivel up and down. The speaker's shape and mounting bracket design even makes corner placement easy.

Upgraded from AW-650 which were great patio speakers for 13 years. I was looking to improve sound. RSM800 has cleaner highs, better dispersion and more bass. The porting helps with punchier bass at lower volumes. They are larger than AW650 but the sound is bigger.
