Though the British hi-fi company is typically known for its higher-end products, they still pack their design and acoustics expertise into their value-oriented models. That means a modestly priced speaker like the SX-70 can offer high-quality sound without putting a big dent in your wallet.
Crisp, clear dialogue
This compact center channel uses two 4" woofers and a 1" silk dome tweeter for clear dialogue and natural-sounding special effects. It's ideal for small- to medium-sized rooms where space is at a premium.
Team it up with the highly rated SX-50 bookshelf speakers and a SX-120 powered subwoofer for a kickin' home theater that doesn't require a lot of real estate.

1" Silk Dome Tweeter: The Cambridge Audio SX-70 center-channel loudspeaker features a silk dome tweeter that combines a soft, smooth sound with high levels of detail. A dedicated foam damper behind the tweeter reduces reflections and increases sound stage depth for a truly spacious, room-filling experience where you can pick out every instrument.
Dual 4" Treated Paper Cone Woofers: The SX-70 center-channel speaker employs two custom-designed 4" midbass drivers with treated paper cones for a smooth and even frequency response. High power, efficient woofer magnets deliver deep bass without putting stress on your amp.
Optimized Crossover Network: The SX-70 uses a precisely optimized crossover between the woofers and tweeter that gives the smoothest and most linear response.
Rigid Acoustic Suspension Enclosure: The Cambridge Audio SX-70 center-channel speakers feature a rigid MDF cabinet, expert designed to minimize standing waves and deliver deeper, tighter bass response. The enclosure features an acoustic suspension (sealed) design for tight, accurate sound.
Binding Posts: The Cambridge Audio SX-70 center-channel loudspeaker is equipped with a set of binding post terminals. The binding post terminals will accept bare-wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and banana-plugs (dual or single). The terminals are color-coded (black/red) to distinguish between positive and negative.
Mounting Options: The Cambridge Audio SX-70 center-channel loudspeaker includes self-adhesive rubber feet to simply place the speaker securely on a tabletop, shelf, or other flat surface. The rubber feet add approximately 0.3125" to the height of the speakers.
Note: The Cambridge Audio SX-70 does not include brackets, keyhole slots, or threaded inserts to wall-mount the speaker.
SX Series: The SX Series from Cambridge Audio is an affordable and great sounding speaker line-up that consists of one floorstanding loudspeaker (SX-80), two bookshelf loudspeakers (SX-50/SX-60), a center-channel speaker (SX-70), and a powered subwoofer (SX-120) - all sold separately.

When I got this, the idea was only to ensure that my speaker system share the same timbre, as I bought the SX-60 for the fronts and SX-50 for the surrounds. Imagine my surprise when I heard how clear and forward the dialogue came out of this speaker! Highly recommended!
