About the iDatalink HRN-RR-SU2 Interface Harness

iDatalink HRN-RR-SU2
iDatalink HRN-RR-SU2
This HRN-RR-SU2 interface harness from iDatalink allows you to connect a new iDatalink-ready car stereo in select 2012-up Subaru vehicles, working in conjunction with iDatalink's Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module. Once connected, you'll retain the use of your Subaru's steering wheel audio controls. You'll also keep your Subaru's amp and subwoofer (if present), plus you'll also be able to display engine performance data and other vehicle info on your receiver's screen.
The package includes three connectors that plug in between the Maestro module, your Subaru radio's wiring plugs, and your new car stereo. You'll have to solder or splice together this harness's power/ground, illumination, and speaker output wires to the corresponding wires on your aftermarket receiver's wiring harness. The iDatalink harness also supplies the outputs you'll need for a navigation receiver.

Not having to screw around with splicing together all the individual wires and harnesses was well worth the price I paid for the harness.
